Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Doesn't have daily updates, which is important for healthcare IT
I face challenges with the exclusion policy - it still scans folders we told it not to, causing issues. When we contact support, they tell us to update the latest agent, but we can't do that immediately due to medical device protocols and validation testing. I wish support would try to understand our issues better instead of giving this standard response. The machine learning feature they use often tells us to upgrade the agent or add things to the exclusion list, which isn't unacceptable. It's a very good and new technology as a tool and antivirus. But sometimes, it doesn't work properly with our medical devices and products, quarantining files it shouldn't even after we add them to exclusions. This is tricky for us.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Virus scan and the ability to remotely install are valuable features. Being able to manage everything in one place and set different policies and rules for different computer types are very useful features. It also has ransomware protection. It is very simple to use, and it is very effective."
"Based on my experience, I rate Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security a nine out of ten."
"The risk analytics capability is excellent because the central console is very good."
"I like its unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email, for example. Multiple products can be standardized across endpoints or the EDR solution, and the integrations with SIEMs."
"The solution is very scalable."
"It is perfectly stable. We haven't received any complaints from customers regarding stability or performance. It's been smooth sailing so far."
"Security for malware and threats is the most valuable feature."
"We use patch management to keep our software up-to-date, significantly mitigating our risk of vulnerabilities. We're confident that Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security will either already know about new threats and have updated our machines, or they'll advise us quickly on mitigating them until an update is available."
"We are quite security-focused. Blackberry Protect as an endpoint solution for our service really delivers what we are expecting."
"Even if an endpoint loses connection to the Internet, I know that endpoint is protected against 99.99% of the threats in the wild today."
"I've found the AI engine in CylancePROTECT to be particularly effective for technology and in preventing unknown threats."
"It actively monitors the behavior and activity of processes and will, without hesitation, terminate at root anything it determines to be suspect."
"The solution is pretty easy to scale."
"A user can continue to add endpoints and the solution will continue to perform well."
"It is a good endpoint solution. It is very easy to manage and detect the threat immediately. It will take the necessary actions."
"It secures different entry points into the network."

Cons

"The live monitoring service from Bitdefender's center is expensive and has room for improvement."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"The price of the bandwidth here is very expensive compared to European countries."
"They've got all this training that's available, but it involves stuff that doesn't really encompass the solution as a whole."
"My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"The risk management tool does not have reporting, which I feel to be a huge mistake."
"The initial setup should be made easier."
"It was not effective. There were a lot of false positives, even when we use Adobe, and everybody uses Adobe, which is not a threat."
"The solution needs better dashboards that are easier to use."
"The product must make the interface a little more user-friendly."
"Enhancing the product's detection rates and streamlining the user interface for easier management in daily operations would be beneficial improvements."
"It should have better support for Windows and Mac."
"It is hard to manage."
"It needs real analysis of quarantined files. The EDR product isn't showing much right now."
"The OPTICS component could be made more user-friendly with respect to giving people more information."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In India, licensing is based on annual contracts. It's not extremely expensive, but not the cheapest either. I'd rate it somewhere around seven or eight out of ten."
"Good in terms of pricing and flexibility."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"We pay for an annual license which is affordable."
"The license is yearly."
"There are many licensing options available, we have been on monthly agreements and other volume contract agreements."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"The solution provides me with competitive pricing."
"CylancePROTECT's pricing is reasonable, at about €18 per user, per year."
"CylancePROTECT is an affordable solution."
"Do not get hung up on price. You pay for what you get and expensive will hurt one time, where cheap will hurt forever, especially if you fall victim to a ransom attack, etc."
"I think that the price we are paying is good for what it is."
"It is expensive, but not unreasonable."
"The initial end-point cost may seem a little high (~$55/device/year) but when you look at the total peace of mind that the solution provides, with no reboots for updates, and negligible performance impact, it is well worth it."
"The monthly fee is $55 USD per user."
