A stable solution used for malware testing and APM that needs to improve its performance
The setup phase was fine because AWS had given the whole tree structure on their website. So, basically, if we go here and there apart from that tree structure, it does not support it. So they have a very sophisticated tree structure. So that is the only tree structure that we have to follow. Else, there will be problems. I rate the setup process a seven out of ten, with ten being the easiest setup. Since I had to study the solution, it took me a week to properly deploy it. I just followed the instructions given by AWS to deploy the solution. So on their website, whatever the steps they had given, I simply kept on following it.

Comprehensive, good value for money, and a lot of time savings
I discovered a lot of bugs in UiPath Test Suite. If I publish a test case in Test Manager as well as in Orchestrator, the existing test case does not get replaced. It is appending the test case but not replacing it. We want to replace the existing test case, but this functionality is not available. In Test Manager, there are a lot of defects in the ROI report that we provide to the operations team on a monthly basis. It is not very clear and detailed. There is no detailed explanation of every test case. There is only a high-level overview. We cannot download the report from Test Manager. We have to use some other tool, such as Power BI, to view the data.

Pros

"I rate the stability an eight out of ten."
"What I like best about AWS Device Farm is that it offers actual physical devices that let you do more accurate testing because physical devices depict the live testing scenarios much better as opposed to emulated devices. AWS Device Farm is a pretty nice solution. Because it's an AWS service, you can use the CLI to tie in several steps that can create the pipeline, and run it efficiently. AWS Device Farm also gives you monitoring ability, observability, logging, etc., so I'm pretty satisfied with the solution."
"What I like most about UiPath Test Suite is that it's straightforward, and any user who knows how to use the UiPath Studio can learn how to create a test script in as fast as thirty minutes. There's nothing new you must learn to use UiPath Test Suite because it only has three sections: Given, Then, and When."
"It has reduced all the deployment cycles of the automation solutions by forty percent."
"The detailed logging is invaluable."
"We could use it for Oracle and SAP and it did help significantly."
"It's useful for automating tasks."
"Being able to use regular expressions, activities, and attributes is valuable."
"What I really like about UiPath Test Suite is its ability to ensure that any changes made do not affect other functionalities."
"Its automated execution when a different package changes and using different test cases defined in an Excel file are particularly useful."

Cons

"An area for improvement in AWS Device Farm is that it lacks a lot of features that would tie it in with other AWS services. The solution doesn't have great connectivity with other services offered by AWS, for example, AWS Secrets Manager. This should be improved because a lot of times, that missing functionality hampers the quality and engineering standards in terms of deploying the full AWS suite of services. What I'd like to see in the next version of AWS Device Farm is for it to link better, or have some type of enrollment that would tie it in with other AWS services, such as EventBridge, Lambda, Secrets Manager, and any other new service from AWS."
"It is slow. It is super slow. Performance is an area that can be improved."
"Accessing the full functionality of the Test Suite manager, including the dashboard, requires a tenant license."
"There is room for improvement in terms of introducing framework compatibility. Many companies use test automation as an alternative to Selenium but need to develop a fully functional bot in UiPath to test on it, which is inefficient."
"The test manager component could be improved."
"I don't rate its ability to automate very well."
"Storing the test scripts is what needs to improve in the UiPath Test Suite, as it's currently a challenge to some extent. Maintaining the files is a bit challenging, especially when you need to keep those locally."
"They can improve the dashboard by adding some widgets for reporting."
"They could improve the visualization of the product."
"UiPath needs to improve its Test Manager feature. Defect management and reporting also need improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"AWS Device Farm is an expensive service overall. You pay per device, and the cost for each device isn't cheap. My company paid for a device slot. It's a yearly subscription for a single device slot, so that's more cost-effective for my company. On a scale of one to five, where one is very expensive and five is very cheap, I'd give AWS Device Farm a two. It's on the more expensive side."
"It represents good value for the investment."
"I don't necessarily have a problem with the pricing of the UiPath Test Suite, especially because we're using the testing bot licenses as opposed to the unattended licensing."
"I consider it expensive. I would rate it a seven out of ten for pricing. It's priced per license on an annual basis. Our customers usually pay around 30K to 35K for five licenses, which is priced per year."
"Its price is a bit high."
"It is a little bit more expensive than Selenium, but it provides value for money. There are multiple types of licenses such as the Test Suite license, Studio Pro license, Test Manager license, and Test Robot license. The overall cost estimation is 13,800 dollars."
"I am not aware of the exact cost. It seems reasonable, but it is an additional cost."
"When we decided to buy the solution three and a half years ago, it was fairly priced."
"I wasn't involved in the negotiations for the UiPath Test Suite, so I have no information on its pricing."
