Can always access reports through intuitive dashboards that support diverse data connections
I can't specifically say how Amazon QuickSight could be improved since I focus more on using it and leveraging its functionalities. However, I could invest additional time to explore possible feedback from customers regarding their challenges. As cloud engineers, our capacity to improve is limited since AWS manages the services, but I would be open to feedback. I'm aware there are minor details that AWS could enhance, such as optimizing costs for beginners or small startups, which can be steep when trying to take Amazon QuickSight into production. Many have noticed that AWS services greatly benefit well-established companies, while startups struggle with costs as they transition data out of AWS. Understanding how AWS charges for Amazon QuickSight usage is critical for all users wanting to visualize their data effectively.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like that with Amazon QuickSight, you don't need to install an app to use its services. With other BI tools, you need to install the app, so Amazon QuickSight is better for me in this area."
"The best part about Amazon QuickSight is the filtration capability."
"The ease with which it integrates with different data sources is most valuable, especially when everything is on AWS, it is easy to connect to the data source and organize different dashboards."
"SpiceDB capacity is pretty large compared to other contemporary options, including competitive software like Power BI, Tableau, etc., and it has better performance with respect to large data sets."
"Regarding the pricing model of Amazon QuickSight, I would say the solution is affordable in general in comparison to some of the other tools, for example, Tableau and Qlik."
"Easily able to connect with our other services and easy to manage."

Cons

"Amazon QuickSight could be improved by embedding AI features. For example, making automation for filling missing data or reformatting incorrect data formats, and making date corrections."
"They could provide more options for graphics and other features."
"Right now, you can't use Amazon QuickSight on other cloud providers, so I'd like it to have availability on other cloud providers."
"Right now, you can't use Amazon QuickSight on other cloud providers, so I'd like it to have availability on other cloud providers. This is an area for improvement in the product. What I'd like to see in Amazon QuickSight in the future is a distributed centralized system where I can manage all reports in one place, and for Amazon QuickSight to become reporting as a service."
"I just want a few more features to be added."
"It's not ideal for reports that are more complex."
"There isn't much support available. We had an issue and when we tried to get support, they made it clear that they can't give any support, and what is lost is lost."
"Amazon QuickSight has minimal features. The feature set can be improved to allow you to create good production-ready dashboards."
"When the source is big and/or the source is Netsuite there are issues."
