Operational workflows improve as we address needs but technical support costs affect resources
Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow is easy to use and offers great scalability. The more we include and extend our capabilities, we can easily scale up according to our needs. When we compare it to other tools in the market, such as Control-M and other technologies, Airflow offers a lot of flexibility. Using this tool minimizes costs and maximizes efficiency.

Improves operational efficiency through its centralized dashboard and asset management
There are overwhelming features added to UiPath Orchestrator, which can lead to complexities. Permissions, roles, and queues sometimes result in conflicts, requiring deeper understanding. I would prefer if the tool was more intuitive, and it is important to maintain simplicity instead of combining multiple functionalities, potentially through different licensing models to restrict features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow is easy to use and offers great scalability; the more we include and extend our capabilities, we can easily scale up according to our needs."
"One of the product's main strengths is that it is well-suited for a DevOps pattern, allowing us to automate our CI/CD pipeline."
"The monitoring feature stands out as the single most indispensable aspect of UiPath Orchestrator for our automation processes."
"UiPath Orchestrator has helped us by replacing manual processes with automation."
"The product has been pretty amazing at deploying, scheduling, and running automated bots."
"Using UiPath Orchestrator, we can deploy tasks across different environments, including virtual machines, for both attended and unattended processes."
"The logs are the best feature of the solution."
"The product helps to monitor our automation process and keep statistics. When not dealing with just one process, we utilize the business process. From there, we obtain the necessary answers, and the robot completes the process accordingly. We keep on improving our processes to become more effective. Hence, we start with a small process."
"The centralized dashboard and asset management in UiPath Orchestrator have proven valuable in enhancing operational efficiency."
"The support team is very responsive and effective in resolving issues promptly."

Cons

"The documentation provided is good."
"To be very honest, technical support from AWS is extremely expensive."
"The product could improve by migrating more functionalities from the cloud to the on-premises version sooner."
"UiPath basic support has some limitations, however, the premium support levels provide more convenient coverage & response times."
"The major issue is with the application according to the new version of the UI."
"Clarity on integrating SQL databases and server configurations would improve implementation processes."
"The solution’s licensing cost is high and could be improved."
"The solution must provide more AI capabilities."
"I am interested in seeing more features like document understanding and AI integration."
"In my opinion, some improvements could be made in the UiPath Orchestrator. For example, it's not so simple to see all the time triggers that we have. We need to check each folder and see all the triggers to see what kind of robot will run. We do not have all the triggers in one place, showing the time they will run and for which process in each folder. Another thing is that the tool for monitoring processes does not show the relation between the process and the machines running them. We can check which machine is available or not because it is running a process, but we cannot see the process and the machine running it in one view."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not an inexpensive solution but it is less expensive than other options."
"The solution’s pricing is reasonable."
"The solution's price is high. We have subscribed to 15 licenses which are paid on a yearly basis. We don't pay any additional costs for support and maintenance."
"The solution is very expensive. Compared to Microsoft, another tool that is much cheaper than the tool, it does not have the same features that UiPath Orchestrator has. The most valuable feature in my platform is the queue items in UiPath Orchestrator to evaluate the products using this feature."
"The product’s pricing is a little higher than reasonable."
"The product’s pricing is competitive."
"The tool's licensing cost is high. I rate the tool an eight or nine on a scale from one to ten, where ten means expensive."
"The pricing is quite reasonable, particularly with the cloud version where Orchestrator is included in all other licenses at no additional cost."
"Larger organizations may benefit from more favorable pricing, as the costs can be distributed across more licenses."
