Centralized content management has unified our digital channels and delivers consistent experiences
Adobe Experience Manager offers enterprise-level digital assets management and very robust customization, brand value consistency, and omnichannel delivery. It saves development and maintenance time. The digital asset management and omnichannel delivery features have benefited my team by managing our digital assets, ensuring brand consistency, and enabling us to deliver customized content easily to our clients. Organizing and obtaining information from results is beneficial. Strengthening our online experience as a brand is valuable. Easy integration with other Adobe services improves productivity and provides a smooth experience. Adobe Experience Manager has positively impacted my organization by enabling component and page reuse, which reduces application size. It saves manual effort for maintaining all applications, improves traffic, and ensures consistency across all our applications. It provides better security, scalability, and makes our applications more robust.

Rapid landing page creation has boosted targeted campaigns and improved conversion tracking
Everything is actually great with Storyblok. One small improvement that Storyblok could make is that some of the more advanced configurations still require the help of our developers. It is not 100% developer free for us. This could be improved and made easier for non-technical people to do the work without the dependency of developers. Apart from that, I do not have any other major complaints or issues with Storyblok. In terms of knowledge-based documents, there are a lot of gaps in the knowledge-based documents that are available. A lot more work needs to be done there. Apart from that, the platform is very intuitive and very easy to learn, so we don't have any major issues regarding that.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"If you want to use content in a mobile application and you want the content in some other application, you can simply expose it from the CMS to different clients or different systems. It's easy. On top of that, the technology underlying AEM is open-source and is very powerful like Apache Sling and JCR."
"I like the native applications such as Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Experience Platform. Because of these, it's very easy to connect and obtain reports on how my website is doing, how many have visited it, how frequently, etc. The multiple publisher concept is one of the best parts of this solution."
"Being able to connect everything to one universal system was a game changer for us, giving us an overall better digital experience."
"Adobe Experience Manager is one of the best enterprise-level content management and digital experience platforms available."
"It is a first-in-class product."
"Adobe Experience Manager is a content management system, and we use it to create and manage a website."
"Easy to work with the solution."
"It's a complete package. You don't need to look elsewhere for digital marketing."
"Storyblok gives us the flexibility to rapidly respond to client needs because every client project is going to be different, and it allows us to manage that in a simple interface which we love and our clients love too."
"The best features Storyblok offers are the blocks building, how easy it is to use, the tag management, and the ability to easily manage pictures and assets in general."
"The return on investment helps me scale my business; without it, I would not even exist probably, so the return on investment is huge."
"With the help of Storyblok, we are now able to create landing pages in 20 minutes, whereas earlier it took around five to six hours, and overall, a 70% reduction in our overall deployment time has been achieved along with a 50% increase in our overall sales and revenue after the introduction of Storyblok."
"Storyblok has positively impacted our organization by helping our clients move away from traditional CMS and achieve a high-performance website along with reduced costs."
"Storyblok has positively impacted my organization because we delivered this website to a very important customer, and they were very happy with the management system."
"Storyblok has positively impacted our organization by helping us do projects in a certain way with its really great features."
"Most of the clients need to have full control over their websites, and this provides them with the biggest freedom, along with the live preview."

Cons

"Adobe's technical support is so-so."
"If something is deleted in AEM, the user cannot recover it. You have to call technical support, and they will need to recover the whole instance."
"Last but not least, Adobe AEM TCO (total cost of ownership) is very high with return on investment is slow (ROI is not necessarily low), which is why Adobe's focus is mostly large companies with deep pocket"
"This review attempts to sum up the miserable experience of using Ektron from a developer's perspective, a server administrator's perspective, and the actual end content editor's perspective."
"There is a feature missing where if content is created on the UAT environment and needs to be transferred or synced to the production environment, there is no direct way of doing the sync."
"The programming model could be improved, it's a monolithic solution and that's what we don't like."
"The integration of the product with other Adobe Marketing Cloud products could be improved."
"The licensing model is opaque, and technical support could be improved, especially for smaller companies."
"The only downside I would mention about my use of Storyblok in these projects was the cache management system that Storyblok has; it was not very good, but all the rest was amazing."
"I believe there are some parts that definitely can be improved inside Storyblok, such as the way content is listed out in certain areas, which makes it a little difficult to delete content."
"I think Storyblok is the best CMS out there; however, I would rate it a nine because there is still room for improvement, particularly with the documentation."
"They did change the pricing about 18 months ago, and at the lowest paid tier, they did take away a bit of the features or the number of seats you can get, so it can get expensive quickly, which is an issue when you're working with smaller clients who still want to have some flexibility."
"Storyblok can be improved by offering more flexibility in terms of schema creation, and it could also possibly improve the way assets are saved and persisted."
"I chose eight for my rating because I believe Storyblok still needs to work on localization, slugs, auto-translate, and all the plugins related to this part."
"Also, the pricing is a little expensive, but the features offered justify the cost."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's a costly solution. I would rate the price at two out of five on a scale from one to five, where one is the most expensive and five is the most competitive."
"It's really costly."
"There's a free trial for one month for Adobe Experience Manager, which you can use for learning purposes, then, after the trial period, you'll need to purchase the license. Adobe offers a few plans for Adobe Experience Manager, but I'm unaware of how much my company is paying."
"Users have to pay a yearly licensing fee to use the solution, which is highly-priced."
