I don't have many suggestions for improvement in Sophos MDR as it performs quite well. It would be beneficial to have the ability to pull a report of all incident responses within a tenant, with categorization and summarization capabilities. This would be particularly useful for sales to demonstrate effectiveness to new clients.
Based on user feedback and reviews, here are some areas where Sophos MDR could be improved and suggestions for additional features that could be included in future releases: Areas for Improvement: ---------------------- * Resource Utilization: Some users have noted that Sophos MDR can be resource-intensive, which may impact system performance. Optimizing the software to be less demanding on system resources could enhance the overall user experience. * Support Responsiveness: While the dedicated MDR team is highly praised, the standard support has received mixed. Improving the responsiveness and effectiveness of the general support team could address this concern. * Integration with Other Tools: Enhancing integration capabilities with a wider range of third-party security tools and platforms could provide a more seamless experience for users who rely on multiple security. Suggested Additional Features: ------------------------------ * Advanced Reporting and Analytics: Introducing more detailed and customizable reporting and analytics features could help organizations better understand their security posture and the effectiveness of the MDR service. * Automated Incident Response Playbooks: Providing automated playbooks for common security incidents could help organizations respond more quickly and effectively to. * Enhanced Threat Intelligence: Incorporating more advanced threat intelligence capabilities, including real-time updates and predictive analytics, could help organizations stay ahead of emerging. * User Training and Awareness Programs: Offering integrated user training and awareness programs as part of the MDR service could help organizations improve their overall security culture and reduce the risk of human error
There could be improvement in features like more detailed reporting for the end customer. For example, reports should be in simple language that is easy to read and understand for management level personnel. Currently, the reports are a bit technical and challenging for management to comprehend.

The solution's integration should be made easier because it is difficult. Sophos MDR should improve its artificial intelligence capabilities. Sophos MDR uses artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, but it should be made more attractive or scalable.
Sophos MDR could offer more integration packs and more vendor flexibility, which they're working on. But that's probably the only improvement that I would see with Sophos MDR, so they could really push themselves ahead, which they really are ahead. If there's only room for improvement, Sophos MDR will be able to offer and support more vendors than they already do. But Sophos MDR already supports so many. There's only so much they can do, but even more would be great. Give it more flexibility. Shaun, that would be a plus.

The only challenge we face with the tool is the pricing. Clients often compare it with other products in the market and try to negotiate prices. This concern has caused some challenges in closing deals. Otherwise, as a product, we have no worries. The support's response time can also be faster.

One aspect I'm examining is the MDR network detection with Sophos Firewall, which works well. I understand it can also integrate with other firewalls, but it's optimal with Sophos products, given the slight drawbacks when using non-Sophos solutions.

In the future, I would like to see a better integration between the endpoint and firewall, just like how web proxy is available inside the antivirus and the endpoint protection. There is also security or protection for the gateway and the border gateway in Sophos that we need to configure separately. In general, the gateway, firewall, and endpoint Sophos offers are not optimized, which I feel can function better together.

Sophos MDR lacks integration with MDM solutions. Sophos should provide a demo of MDR so that potential customers can utilize it through a free trial for POC.
Sophos MDR's support and basic training of their devices could be improved. The solution's curriculum does not give clear information about its certifications.

One of the limitations that we have found is with communications and the languages in different countries. In Vietnam, we are okay and it is not a big problem because we have a vendor, who is a Sophos partner.
