Dell Business Laptops includes two flavors: ones with the full-fledged GPU, which I purchased for colleagues who are really working on AI models and training, and the other model with the processor add-on that is optimized for Copilot applications, which are more adapted to people working on desktop applications. Throughout my group, which consists of more than 20 people, we have just these two models of Dell Business Laptops: the Dell Pro for the power users, purchased last year, and all the other laptops are XPS models we bought over the last five years, with a typical renewal cycle of five to six years for all the laptops we use.

Dell Business Laptops have been our standard for over 10 years. We are currently conducting a refresh and moving to Dell Pro 7s across the board. I joined this organization mid-COVID when the company was focused on providing Dell Business Laptops to users working hybrid or remote roles. They would come into the office sparingly, but providing standard laptops, equipment, docking stations, and monitors ensured a familiar experience when they did visit. We are still in the middle of that refresh, so we do not have tight metrics at this time. This is an ongoing effort, and we are currently starting with our IT team before moving on to other end users in the district.
We deploy Dell Business Laptops to our end users and provide them with a specific image on the device. This is particularly convenient because they offer good battery life and other beneficial features. We use ManageEngine software to deploy Dell Business Laptops for our end users. From there, we take the Dell laptop and connect it to a PXE server, where we drop the image into the laptop to begin the deployment process. After deployment, we install all the standard applications such as Microsoft 365 and any other necessary software on Dell Business Laptops.

We needed standardization when choosing Dell Business Laptops, ensuring everybody is on the same equipment, using the same software, and same drivers. Our engineering staff is all on the Precision models, specifically using a lot of ProMax 14s, ProMax 14 Premiums, the 16s, some of the rugged models, the Tablet 13s, and a number of the rugged laptops, though I forget their model number.
I have been in the technology world for only 10 years, and coincidentally, my background is in historic restoration, so it was quite the pivot, all really born from the opportunity to fly drones on behalf of our company. Once I got into that aspect of our line of business, the light bulb went off. Then we introduced laser scanners, a level of artificial intelligence, and remote sensory technology. It was really easy to conceive where this type of new technology was going to fit in with our line of work. Our top priorities when selecting Dell Business Laptops for our company are really making our user's needs fulfilled. Myself and Derek Wolford, who runs our IT department, really do not make that decision. Of course, we vet the products and what is being presented to us by the Dell sales team to make certain it will fulfill those needs. But really, our users dictate what kind of horsepower their work will necessitate. We have engineers and designers, we have surveyors who are collecting point cloud data from laser scanners, which require a pseudo supercomputer. We utilized very large Precisions back in the day before we decided that we wanted to go to a virtual desktop infrastructure environment. Depending on the type of work and the load our particular employees are lifting, it could be anything from a Precision i9 all the way down to a Pro i5. We work with our folks to make certain that we ask the correct questions, understand their need, and help them really dissect their true need. A lot of times, especially our engineers, say they need the best and the brightest. At the end of the day, it is more of a user mechanics type issue. Knowing that and even asking the tough questions helps define those troubled areas and allows us to dial into the proper solution. Dell Business Laptops, with all the offerings, allow us to have a multitude of options that can fulfill those needs. Dell Business Laptops have done an excellent job of supporting our hybrid workforce, which is transportation infrastructure engineering. We design, inspect, and support our transportation infrastructure like roadways, bridges, highways, and facilities that help maintain them. It necessitates not just designers in the office but also bridge climbers and field inspectors for construction projects, needing to meet clients, do field measurements, or on-site design reviews. While we have 15 offices distributed in the US and around the world, we still have a field focus. Allowing a bridge inspector, while sitting on a structure in a major city, to access documents and transfer data in real-time, or collect specific data to process 3D models to document deficiencies instead of just photos and notes, enables them to do their job better, faster, and more cost-effectively. They can take that same device back to the office and operate seamlessly on the exact same information they were working on in the field, which we have really enjoyed for its portability, compactness, and lightweight factor while still maintaining all the rich features that Dell Business Laptops has to offer.

I have been with the organization for eight years, and we have been using Dell Business Laptops the entire time. We do use a few others, such as some Panasonic Toughbooks because we have field workers, but we use Dell Ruggeds as well and the semi-rugged detachables. The specific challenge we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops for our organization depends on the role. We find that the fact that there are so many different levels of performance is beneficial because we have engineers who do things such as flow modeling and AutoCAD, and the Precision series is what we generally go with them, and they work well. They are heavy, but obviously if you want performance, you have to have some power behind it. A lot of our senior managers really prefer the ultra-portable detachables. The only thing we really struggle with, and this is an expectation from people rather than a reflection on Dell, is that people who want the ultra-portables then say that this is not powerful enough. Of course it is not. It is an ultra-portable. The range of Dell Business Laptops offerings gives us really good options.

I am currently using the Dell Pro Max 16. I choose Dell Business Laptops because of the name Dell itself; I know what I'm getting when I buy a Dell laptop, and it's guaranteed to work and do what I need. Using Dell Business Laptops makes it much easier for our remote workforce; they can always just remove their laptop, whether they're hotspotting from a phone on the beach or driving down the road as a passenger. The best use case is the accessibility of having the laptop whenever they need it.
Our technicians in remote work need something that is obviously portable and light, but still durable enough to take out in the field and handle rough use without requiring a full-on ruggedized model. Dell Business Laptops fit that need perfectly. We have some hybrid employees that work from home or in the office, and we have been giving them the option to choose between a laptop or desktop based on their preference. This flexibility has been really valuable. Our employees and customers work from home, in the office, and having a laptop gives them the ability to have a single machine. They are not having to switch back and forth between a different computer at home and a different computer at the office. They have just one machine with everything they need, they have access to everything, and it is all set up how they want it.
I am currently using Dell Business Laptops 13 Pro for business purposes. I chose Dell Business Laptops over other brands because we are Dell partners, so we use Dell Business Laptops for ourselves, and I think they are very well-balanced.

Throughout my career with Dell Business Laptops, I have worked with them extensively, mostly with Windows and some Linux depending on where I am and what I am working on at the time. I have encountered issues, just as every vendor and every product does, but I appreciate the fact that when I have problems with Dell Business Laptops, I provide the service tag and the issue is resolved and taken care of.

We do have a few executives that require a premium option, such as a Precision laptop, but most users are what used to be the Latitude 5000 series type of users. The specs fit our use cases very well.

Dell Business Laptops serve as our main solution for everyday use and for our engineering employees. Our engineering department uses AutoCAD and SolidWorks extensively, so we deploy Dell Pro Precision 7 laptops to provide them with the full power and reliability they need while running both applications.
Dell Business Laptops have supported our organization's hybrid workforce exceptionally well, particularly during the COVID pandemic, allowing us to support a large number of users in our 250-acre greenhouse, where laptops are used near plants in challenging conditions, enabling us to perform tasks from general input to AI work at the edge. Since switching to Dell Business Laptops, our end users have especially noticed improved battery life. Previously, we distributed power bricks for remote users in the greenhouse, but now they can perform their jobs without worrying about battery life, allowing for stronger AI workloads directly on their laptops without needing to upload to a server first.

The specific challenge we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops for our organization was getting buy-in from the faculty and staff. They go to Best Buy, they see the devices in the stores and ask, 'Why can't I have that?' I have to explain that those are not industry standard and are intended for personal use at home. Getting them to understand that and to achieve full buy-in was essential. My top priorities when selecting laptops for my organization include getting true buy-in and getting full value from the product that we're picking. Today with current AI models and similar technologies, I'm changing my standards from 16 gigabytes now to 32 gigabytes, and from 512 gigabytes to a terabyte. The weight of the device also matters greatly now. I hear a great deal of feedback about this. Faculty and staff tell me, 'Oh, that's too heavy. I don't want to carry that one again. Do you have anything lighter?' So we had to get rid of the Precisions and now everything is much lighter, including 2-in-1 devices. We're getting a host of 2-in-1 devices, and I just received a text while I was here requesting another 2-in-1 device.

Dell Business Laptops serve as the primary workstations for our attorneys at Polsinelli. A specific example of how the attorneys use the laptops in their day-to-day work is that they handle everything on them; they edit documents, they process email, they do research on them. It's how they function, and it's how they make money. I would add that Dell Business Laptops are their primary driver of revenue for lawyers; lawyers cannot make money without the use of a laptop and technology.

My top priorities when selecting laptops for my organization focus on usability for my customers, since many of them are researchers and providers. Efficiency and mobility are key, as they need something lightweight. My customers do not want to be burdened with heavy equipment. They want to be able to quickly place the laptop in their bag or purse when they travel, but also have the right computing power because our providers use Epic, which is very robust once they access it. They perform e-scripts and conduct voice recordings rather than virtual consultations. They use voice memos to take notes for their patients instead of trying to type everything out.

I don't select laptops for my organization; I work on them. The specific challenge I was trying to address when I chose Dell Business Laptops for my organization was connectivity.
Standardization and reliability were the specific challenges and needs we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops for our organization. We work in a law enforcement capacity, so we needed a ruggedized or semi-rugged computer that was semi-modular and could benefit our patrol deputies out in the field. Currently, we have the Dell Pro Rugged 14s and the Dell Pro Max 14s. For certain specialized areas such as data analytics and ArcGIS analysts, we tend to have more of a gaming-type computer, so we buy Alienware. For cyber crimes and similar work, we also buy Alienware, and we have some Precision Mobile Workstations in our organization as well.
Our top priorities when selecting laptops for our company include price, availability, and performance, with price typically being the leading factor. Currently, we have quite a few models of Dell Business Laptops, including 14-inch laptops ranging from Pro Plus Premium to 16-inch laptops. As a 20,000 end-user organization, we use a variety of desktops, laptops, and workstations, specifically utilizing Dell Pro Plus, Dell Pro Premiums, Dell Micro desktops, T2 towers, and slim desktops. Dell Business Laptops support our company's hybrid workforce by allowing the team to be more flexible and mobile, giving us the ability to respond and react to situations. As a utility constantly on the move in the field, having that layer of connectivity with Dell 13-inch mobility-enabled clients has been a game-changer for us.
My organization has been using Dell Business Laptops for 25 years. The specific challenge or need I was trying to address when I chose Dell Business Laptops for my organization was a cost decision.
We are currently using Dell Business Laptops, and I have my Dell laptop with me up in the room. I don't know what the heck it's called. We have 50/50, we have Dell in the office, and then we have HP. I prefer the Dell though. It's much bigger. I enjoy big screens. So for me personally, it's about big screen. I do a lot of graphics, so I have multiple screens up all the time. They started in 2012. Our organization has been using Dell Business Laptops probably since about 2015. Maybe even before my time.

I am primarily on the server side when selecting laptops for my organization, but for my own needs, I require something that will connect to what I need. I need it to run fast, and I need to actually have battery life because quite often I'm working in a data center where there's not necessarily a power plug. It has to have longevity in that aspect where I can easily transition from my desk to walking downstairs with it into the data center to troubleshoot server infrastructure and environments. My organization has been using Dell Business Laptops since before I started with them, which has been over 18 years.
When selecting laptops for my company, my top priorities are productivity, safety, design, and collaboration, along with performance. In selecting design, I consider that because I work at Scansource, which is a distributor of Dell technologies, and I represent Dell for my customers. When I use a notebook that has great design, I can make an impact and improve my skills in sales. My company has been using Dell Business Laptops for more than 10 years. The specific challenge I was trying to address when choosing Dell Business Laptops for my company involves my competitors in Brazil regarding prices. In Brazil, we face complexity regarding taxes, which is the biggest challenge. Dell Business Laptops have supported my company's hybrid workforce reliably. We can trust the device and the safety features. I travel frequently, and my device is perfect for my continuous use.

When selecting laptops for my organization, portability and power for certain aspects of the company are the primary considerations. Most of the time it is standard, but we have a lot of field workers, so portability is the main focus. In addition to portability, we also address power in certain aspects of the company because we are diverse in what we are doing. We do landscaping, tree work, wetland studies, and quite a wide array of other services.
In the IT industry, my specialty is in a service desk capacity, either as a technician or now as a manager. When selecting laptops for my organization, price is a significant factor. We recently switched from Intel to AMD processors because they offer equivalent value at a lower price point, but performance and reliability are also essential considerations.
We currently focus on two product lines of Dell Business Laptops: the Pro Plus 5000 series and the Pro Max 7000 series. We are a remote-first workforce with about 3,000 employees that all work from home, and the advantage of using Dell Business Laptops, especially with their ProSupport Plus support, is that we can have Dell support go to any one of our employees' homes to get the laptop fixed on-site without them having to mail it in to us. With our remote workforce, having Dell security platform on their machines helps us to manage them remotely and keep them secure because we cannot control them inside a controlled environment, and being able to manage that is a huge advantage for us. This provides flexibility in being able to work from anywhere while still securing our data and our platforms.

Dell Business Laptops is my endpoint for business. I rely on Dell Business Laptops in my daily work to run all my Agile DevOps project activities in Microsoft Teams. I use Dell Business Laptops all day, every day, handling everything, including email, virtual meetings, and one-on-one chats. All our reporting is done, all of our business operations are digitized and go through Dell Business Laptops.
When selecting laptops for my organization, my top priorities are performance and cost in perspective. Different roles in our company have different needs. I prefer the two-in-ones with the touchscreen because I am on the road a good bit. In our technology end, we have people that are doing things on the AI side that require some larger machines with extra processing power. Currently, we are across the board in terms of versions. We use a lot of the Latitude series and the Precision series as well. The specific challenge or needs we are trying to address depend on whether it is a person that is in the office in a seat all the time. That requires a certain type of model and specification that we look for. However, if it is someone that is on the road, such as our sales team, we want them to have lighter laptops that are smaller.
My top priorities when selecting laptops for my company are cost, ease of use for the end-users, and functionality. Dell Business Laptops models I am currently using are the Dell Pro Plus 14 and 16 inch, and the Dell Premium and Dell Pro Max 16 inch.
My company operates in the aerospace industry. Dell Business Laptops have supported my organization's hybrid workforce, but we do not have a comprehensive hybrid solution.

When we had a full fleet of Dell Business Laptops XPS models on site about four or five years ago, we maintained Dell Business Laptops in the business until about four weeks ago. I have one sitting downstairs currently, so we've used them fairly recently. In both the current and previous environments, I have always been an XPS fan, which is the model that offers more performance capability. We utilized those as the standard issue in my previous company and as a special issue in my current company for finance and a few key personnel. I have used Dell Business Laptops monitors, docks, keyboards, and mice, along with all the peripherals that surround them. They were used for end-user endpoints.
I have my own IT company and we are looking all the time for new software and new systems to support our customers, including enterprise desktops and laptops. I have a few customers who are using Dell Business Laptops for quite some years, and I have been using Lenovo for over 10 years.

I am using PowerFlex and PowerVXRAIL along with other Dell products like Dell PowerProtect and Dell PowerEdge. Everything is Dell in our hospital; I use a Dell laptop, all desktops, everything. I am using the Latitude series of Dell Business Laptops, so I am okay with it. There is no problem. In our hospital we have been using Dell Business Laptops for more than 10 years. We are using more than 300 laptops in our network for daily wear and tear of Dell Business Laptops. We have around 600 PCs with OptiPlex, so it is working fine. That is not a problem. Of course, when you have numbers, there is some break and tear always happening. Sometimes it comes from the user experience, but overall it is okay. I am using the OptiPlex model of Dell Enterprise Desktop. Normally our operation is not that critical in supporting remote work; we are a hospital. We have around 20 hospitals around the country, so we have less laptops than desktops. For example, we have around 800 desktops and we have only 150 to 200 laptops, not much. So we always use the desktop. We prefer to use it because we are giving patient service.

Dell Enterprise Laptops Pro Plus line is primarily used, and the Pro Max devices are utilized for bigger workloads. Most use cases for those models involve office work, such as Excel spreadsheets, Teams, and collaboration applications. The Pro Max models are also used for graphic design, structural drawings. The majority of laptops in use feature Intel processors. The latest generations of Intel CPUs are primarily used, specifically the 14th and 13th generations, and all previous generations have been used in older laptops as well. Both i5 and i7 CPUs are in use, and the Pro Max models contain some i9 processors. The Intel processors handle workloads very well compared to expectations, as the larger processors are used for heavier workloads such as drawings, which are very CPU and GPU intensive. The productivity boost from the Intel CPUs in combination with integrated and NVIDIA GPUs is greatly appreciated.
I use my laptop for everything. From creating whole Excel sheets with planned equipment upgrades to editing videos for recordings that we conduct in a laboratory, so it's very utilized in many fields. In my private time, I repair electronics, so I very often use my laptops to generate files and data that are required for me to run the console, repair the console, and fix the console, for example. So quite powerful devices are necessary. I don't even care about the weight of this XPS because it can do so many things that it doesn't bother me at all to carry it all the time with me.

I generally use XPS laptops and I appreciate them because they simply work.
Dell Business Laptops have supported my organization's hybrid workforce by allowing us to maintain a single model for most of our users.
We predominantly use Dell Business Laptops over desktops, and that is what everybody carries around to get their work done. Our primary uses include email and web browsing. As attorneys, our team keeps track of their time by the minute. There is nothing too unique involved with their normal daily routine. Dell Business Laptops serve as the daily driver that everybody needs to get their work done.
The specific challenge we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops for our organization was ease of use. My top priorities when selecting laptops for my organization are price point and customer support.
We chose to use Dell Business Laptops in our organization to address the challenge of having the most customer-friendly and easy-to-use machines across the entire base. When selecting laptops for my organization, my top priorities are the convenience of using them and ensuring that they meet all the requirements. Dell Business Laptops support our organization's hybrid workforce by being mostly cloud-based, so we have both the cloud and on-station options, which easily integrates with our system.
Dell Business Laptops have specifically supported our organization's hybrid workforce, especially when the pandemic hit. We had many people working from home, and the laptops have webcams, internet, and everything needed to work remotely, which has worked well for us.
Dell Business Laptops support my organization's hybrid workforce by allowing people who don't work in the office to work from home.
In our organization, we are not a lot of remote workers; we are more on-location, similar to the US Air Force.
My company operates in the aerospace industry. Dell Business Laptops have supported my organization's hybrid workforce, but we do not have a comprehensive hybrid solution.
In addition to Dell Business Laptops, we are using Dell servers.
I have experience with Dell Business Laptops since I have one here, while the other computer in my company is all Lenovo. I have a few customers who are using Dell Business Laptops for quite some years, and I have been using Lenovo for over 10 years.
It is my daily computer and my work computer. I also use it to handle all other matters, including my personal and work items.
I use Dell Business Laptops for my end users, and I also have them set up for consumers to use for their daily tasks. I repair them when they are faulty, and I put images on them as needed.
My main use for the laptop is Excel. We don't do any AI at the moment, but we're going to most likely do something with that very soon. For web, we just do the normal tasks. We manage applications, Teams, and it's very straightforward, all Windows.Regarding the screen, everything is fine. We don't do any videos or anything like that, so for us, it's just basic Windows Office, and I have no issue with that.
My main use of Dell Enterprise Laptops is regular day-to-day work with Excel, Google Sheets, Google Mail, and regular office use. I am not doing any specific applications; it is just office and web-based work. I use Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and regular office work. I am not doing any 3D design or that kind of work; it is more regular office tasks.
The main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops in my company include Excel, browsing, applications, and WMS software, which represent most of our use cases.
Dell Enterprise Laptops serve as the primary solution for our entire company across every department. We have departments ranging from finance to HR, as well as field-based teams including our mechanics and personnel working on-site.
My main use for the laptop is my daily work, such as emails and configurations I need to do from my laptop, including Azure developments and various other tasks.
My main use case for using Dell Enterprise Laptops is because we work in the education sector and the education laptop for teachers needs to flip and you need to write things on it. That is a nice feature with Dell Enterprise Laptops. I appreciate that for the students, they have indestructible laptops and can have some water resistance.
Dell Enterprise Laptops Pro and Pro Max models are used throughout the organization. The laptops are primarily used for daily work tasks.Users utilize Office applications, and the Pro Max laptops run Autodesk software along with other design software.
The main use case for Dell Enterprise Laptops in my organization is for education purposes, including teaching and being taught.
I mostly use Dell Enterprise Laptops, specifically Latitudes and Precisions, and we now have two of the newer models from this year. For personal use, I use Dell Enterprise Laptops on the job.Dell Enterprise Laptops are the main hardware that the people in the company work on, so it's mainly laptops, a few hundred workstations, and that is it—just work.I do anything with Dell Enterprise Laptops; they are used for different branches and teams, with the Precision line for more developer tasks and the Latitudes for more office-focused work.
I perform a mix of tasks that involve hosting a lot of virtual machines. For security purposes, I have a VM called Kali, for example, which is specialized for attacking and red teaming ethical hacking, all contained within a virtual machine. I use virtual machines for malware analysis. Besides that, I use it extensively for scripting and developing, mostly scripting, and of course, regular documenting and browsing, primarily in the field with VMs that have Linux machines on them.
Our main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops involve remote work from home users and conferences. I do a lot of conferences, so we need something lightweight. When I'm home, we need the Pro Max because I need the horsepower. That's why we have both.
My main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops are related to what they are currently selling now, and we got a great price on them. On a day-to-day basis, I do cybersecurity, so my whole task is to monitor the entire network, all the computers, the EDRs, MDRs. I make sure no bad things are trying to happen.
I am using Dell Enterprise Laptops mostly for consulting work and giving some of our clients and their customers access to technology when sometimes they don't have easy access to laptops. In a recent project, we did a decision-making analysis on possible expansion sites, and we presented all of our docs using Dell Enterprise Laptops.
My main use case for Dell Enterprise Laptops is as an endpoint. In my day-to-day work, all of our colleagues carry Dell Enterprise Laptops, typically office users as well as in our branches.
Dell Enterprise Laptops are our main tool for work-related operations. Our technology team manages a fleet of approximately 1200 to 1300 Dell laptops. On a day-to-day basis, we use Dell Enterprise Laptops to help our end users by tracking tickets, answering help desk calls through a softphone, managing email, and accessing various systems. Dell Enterprise Laptops are the main tool we use for our day-to-day operations, with only our mobile phones being secondary to them. My team works 10-hour shifts, four days a week, and we are on call in the evening, so we may be using Dell Enterprise Laptops on overnight calls as well as weekend support because we also assist our users on Saturdays.
Main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops are for business, animal welfare, data entry, research, and IT.
The main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops are employees that work remotely and use them around the office if they need to bring them to different events.
My main use cases include office applications, primarily Office 365 applications. We spec the laptops accordingly to the user's needs, so they pretty much keep up with the user and are application-based from the time we give them.
The main use is coding, office work, and running hardware, not simulations, but Cadence applications such as OrCAD or Capture to see schematics.
My main use cases for Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops are development, IT, and engineering.
