My advice for teams considering Okta Platform is to start with clear objectives and metrics, defining what success looks like to ensure effective implementation. I am providing this review with an overall rating of eight.
Regarding pricing for Okta Platform, I am not aware of how much it costs because I used to work as a consultant for them, and the licensing details are taken care of by the sales team or others. The solution requires little maintenance, and I would say it is easier to maintain compared to other IM platforms such as SailPoint, which had huge coding and infrastructure costs. My advice to others looking to implement Okta Platform is to definitely go for the software instead of Entra ID, as it offers a much easier and user-friendly UI.
I have not worked with Universal Directory in my case, and I have not worked on it recently. Okta Platform is an IGA solution, so in terms of PAM capabilities, it is not working as PAM for storing passwords or secret vaults, such as Delinea or CyberArk; it is a completely different product.
The reason we recently switched to Okta Platform was a decision made while I was not on the project, as I was with the Air Force at the time. The decision was made by a different branch, I think with the Marines, who were using it and then said that Oracle is obsolete. It was presented as a short message: 'We are using Okta Platform and it works well.' They then asked me to investigate and see how we could use Okta Platform integrated with Oracle. The improvements I already mentioned are based on the fact that IAMs are evolving, and integration with other components is important. My experience with Okta Platform's integrated PAM capabilities involves many steps. There are many steps, and you have to do this, but as long as the document is fine at the start, it is a trial and error process. If it works or not, then you are going to repeat the whole thing and try a different scenario. The project management does not always see the effort behind all of this tweaking Okta Platform to do what they want it to do and meet their business requirements. I would rate this review a seven overall.
I advise others looking into using Okta Platform to start with a clear group strategy before beginning; if the requirement for groups and naming conventions is organized from day one, setting up security policies and automated provisioning will be much easier. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.
One of my team members lost his phone and was unable to do a direct Okta Workforce Identity login. At that time, email multi-factor authentication was useful and helped him to get logged into Okta Workforce Identity and authenticate himself. I do not see any areas for improvement as Okta Workforce Identity is at its best level currently. Okta Workforce Identity is reliable, and its user experience and user interface are great. I would recommend Okta Workforce Identity to others. My overall experience using Okta Workforce Identity has been excellent. I have given this review a rating of ten out of ten.
We discontinued the license for Barista and have moved to Workato Genie. We implemented Workato Genie around six months ago. It is required for the sales team, and they purchased some licenses for the sales and marketing team in the US. We have configured that for IT as well. There can be multiple Genies according to the requirement. If you ask something for the Genie, there is a global Genie and it can redirect that task to the relevant Genie for sales, IT, HR, and other things. We are not using Google except G Suite. We have some licenses for ChatGPT, but that is not for IT requirements. We are still using AWS, Okta Customer Identity, and Jamf; these are our main core business applications. The main benefits Okta Customer Identity provides to users include single point of login for all applications and single authentication, which saves time and reduces frustration. If something is not working, users just open a ticket with the Okta team instead of reaching out to other application owners or POCs. I give Okta Customer Identity a rating of 10 out of 10.

I rate Okta Customer Identity as nine out of ten. The Privileged Access Manager part is still in development but is expected to be in line with competitors like CyberArk or BeyondTrust soon.
Overall, I would rate Okta Customer Identity a ten. Okta Customer Identity is solely focused on identity management, which makes them excel in this area.

I definitely recommend Okta. Every organization needs workforce productivity as well as customer security. The need is definitely there for any enterprise or organization to protect their identity. Customer security also plays the utmost role in protecting customer data. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.
If we wanted to access the Azure portal or any other portal, we used to scan with Authenticator. Once it was approved, we accessed the portals. The product is equivalent to Microsoft’s solution. I used Duo instead of Authenticator to authorize applications. People use Conditional Access Policy. People generally prefer Microsoft because it is free. I will recommend the tool to others. Our recommendations are based on the customer’s requirements, bandwidth, and budget. Overall, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

Overall, I would rate Okta a nine out of ten because there is always room for improvement. However, it is best in class as far as doing the things it does. And it's something that I've implemented with multiple businesses. And it's really well-regarded. Yes. There are alternatives out there. Like, they all do somewhat different in each thing, whereas Okta seems to really be trying to cover all the bases as far as providing solutions that integrate with people's OSBAP, people's active directory, companies that wanna get serverless, touching on, the zero test network security that they're really kind of playing in the center of that zone.
I'm using the latest version of Okta Customer Identity. My company has a partnership with Okta Customer Identity. Two thousand people use Okta Customer Identity within the company, mostly engineers. Three people take care of the deployment and maintenance of the solution: one junior engineer, one system engineer, and one architect. There's a plan to increase the number of users of Okta Customer Identity in the future. My advice to people looking into implementing the solution is to go ahead and implement it. Okta Customer Identity is a very good technology to work with, with a very knowledgeable support team. You'll get instant support, and the team is very supportive. My rating for Okta Customer Identity is eight out of ten. I'm not scoring it a ten because of some gaps. It's fine for me right now, but in the future, I would like to see improvements in the solution.

I'm just a user, just an employee who is using this identity provider, and it is completely managed by our administrators. I'd recommend the solution to other users. I would rate the solution eight out of ten.
My advice for anybody who is implementing this solution is to make sure that it is properly prepared, as a project. Good preparation is needed so do your homework. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

My advice to others is to be aware of their current infrastructure. The integration points have to be very clear to the customer to facilitate the main integration. Otherwise, it makes things very complex. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
