The Juniper EX series is mainly used for the Campus network. The EX4300 is EOL and end of support within the next 12 months or so and the new EX4400 uses the same chipset as the QFX5k model which is Trident 3. Neither platform supports the EGRESS filter (ACL) only INGRESS is something to think about if that is required in your environment. I still find that bug in the EX series is still problematic not as bad as the QFX model.

If you are not implementing ACI or a similarly complex deployment, it may not be necessary to use this solution for LAN access. Similarly, if you require frequent upgrades, it may be more appropriate to consider alternatives such as Juniper solutions This is an excellent solution to consider due to its stability, scalability, and user-friendly interfaces, with even more features than a Cisco solution. It is highly reliable and does not require significant troubleshooting efforts. I rate the Juniper EX Series a seven out of ten.
