Twenty-five network engineers use Cisco Cloud Services Router within my company. My advice to anyone planning to use Cisco Cloud Services Router for the first time is to sign up for the Cisco dCloud, where there's a Ready Labs type of trial that gives you a better look and feel of the Cisco Cloud Services Router. Please take advantage of the thirty or sixty-day trial to get a complete insight into the product, but before the trial, it's best to have a plan in place to measure your outcomes, so your decision-making becomes more effortless. I'd rate Cisco Cloud Services Router as eight out of ten because it has an excellent portal and has remained stable with fewer deviations from the published RFCs. Cisco Cloud Services Router also supports even legacy protocols, apart from the latest ones, so I'm pretty happy with the product. My company is a customer of Cisco but would like to become a partner.

As an end user, I would recommend Cisco because it is stable, has good performance, resiliency, high availability, quick setup, a friendly environment, and friendly interfaces that are easy to deploy and manage. You will not have the hassle of on-premises solutions such as configuration and connectivity. You receive one product and then think of how to deploy it. You should be a highly technical person, but it's easy to use. You don't need to be a CCI to handle setup. It's a very easy deployment that will make your life easy. I rate this solution an eight out of ten.

My advice to others is this solution is very good to extend your layer to the cloud. There are other solutions on the market from other vendors, such as Microsoft. It is up to the user what solution best fits their needs. When I use the solution I only use the command prompt, other users might use the GUI. When I use other solutions such as Fortigate, Palo Alto, or Juniper, I do not use the GUI either. The languages used in the command lines are very similar from solution to solution. I rate Cisco Cloud Services Router a ten out of ten. The technology that Cisco Cloud Services Router provides is why I rated it very high.

We are resellers. We are not using the latest version right now due to the fact that it is quite expensive. We are using versions that are two to three years old. We have been very happy with its capabilities over the many years we have used the product. I'd recommend the solution to other organizations and companies. I rate Cisco Cloud Services Router a nine out of ten.

This is a solution that I surely recommend. My advice to anybody who is researching this solution is to consider scale. You can use this router in a scalable solution but it has its limitations. Overall, it works really well and does not have any large bugs or issues with it. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

It integrates with multiple solutions but I have only tried it with AWS solutions. I would rate it at eight out of ten. It is a good solution but they have to improve on the security.

The product has value. I recommend having a partner who has integrated it before and can bring that expertise to the table. Just because your good with the physical appliances doesn't mean you will be able to exactly translate that into the Amazon networking world. We have a couple hundred other Cisco routers, but this is the only virtual one that we have tried. The AWS version seems to be a lot less reliable, and we had a lot of issues with the initial configuration. Due to the nature of running workloads in the cloud and needing networking in the cloud, there is no choice but to use cloud routers. Our on-premise routers are integrated with this product. This is where we had some reliability issues in getting connections to stay on.

It offers exactly we need. It was easy to get up and running. The support was available when we needed it. Ultimately, it is just a very expensive product. Make sure you scale at the right level that you are at for the products that you need, including this one. We use the AWS and on-premise versions of the product. They compare very well. The AWS version offers quite a bit of functionality. Luckily, we have had team members who are familiar with the CSR on-premise version and are able to use that on the AWS version. It has worked out very well for us. The integrations are abstract, so we haven't had any issues with integrating it directly. It is a router.

The product is fantastic. It just costs to keep it running. If you have the revenue for it, it is a good product. My current business is small, so we can't use it, as it's too expensive. Though, it would be a good product for a mid-to-large size business, We use both the AWS and on-premise versions, but I don't have experience with the on-premise version.

I would rate this solution an eight and not a ten: first, because we don't have automation available in-house and they give us the ability to deploy it on the cloud. Second, because of the license issue that we had with it. Other than that, everything is perfect. I would tell someone looking into this or a similar solution that this is definitely one of the best products to use and if you deploy everything gateway from Amazon, they use Cisco CSR in the background.

Keep a long-term goal in mind. Where do you want to get to: * If it's a small environment, I would not pay for a CSR. It's too expensive. Go for something cheaper. * If it's a bigger environment and you will eventually scale out, then definitely go with a CSR. It will be sustainable, scalable, and definitely stable. The product serves me purpose. It connects all my environments together in a smart, efficient way. The integration with other product has been pretty seamless. It has been at the working level, so the services don't care. It's the networking part of it. When a request goes to your central router, CSR take care of it, knowing where it's supposed to go to, and it just transfers the data there.

Cisco has been around for years. It is solid and has one of the most recognized brand names in the world. It does integrate with another product that we run for our firewalls.

I would recommend Cisco. It's a very powerful router and a very important player in the routers of the world. It can provide many solutions that the customer needs. When AWS when offers Transit VPC, they always recommend Cisco. We are using it on AWS and Azure.

Routers
What is a router? A router is a network device that communicates between the internet and the devices in your office or home which connect to the internet. A router controls all the information going to and from each device and the modem. The router also ensures that the information ends up in the right spot. A router connects to the modem and then to a device (be it a laptop, printer, smartphone or smart TV) either through an ethernet cable or a wireless signal (Wi-Fi). A router creates...
