What is most valuable?

Financial Budgeting Reporting

How has it helped my organization?

Saves time and helps efficiency compared to just using Excel to do Financial Reporting and Budgeting.

What needs improvement?

Database features for analytics i.e. retrieving data. The biggest flaw of KCI Control9 and previous versions is that all data retrieval is 'view' based. You can not simply define the dimensions and retrieve the data. You have to define the dimensions in a 'view' and only then can you use that 'view' to build ad hoc reports. Another serious flaw is that if you want to share this ad hoc report that you built with another employee, that person will have to set their 'view' dimensions to at a minimum include all the dimension parameters as the report or the whole report will not work. I've heard from KCI that in Control10 they will be eliminating this 'view' restrictions for retrieving data and it's seriously about time. It has been such a handicap to this product.

Eight years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

Yes, as an Excel add-on product it causes Excel to crash more than usual.

How are customer service and support?

Customer Service: 9/10. Technical Support: 9/10.

What other advice do I have?

Wait until Conrol10 is released.
