Automated data collection has replaced manual emails and now connects business forms to back-end reports
Prophecy can be improved, as right now the form is very limited. We have to do a lot of manual entry with the form to get it set up. We have a lot of things that change year over year, so I have to go in there and manually play around with it, manually changing this and that. Having dynamic forms, having the forms connect to back-end data, and basically making the forms more streamlined would be my need from Prophecy. Everything else on the back end, the pipelines, and those types of things have been pretty easy to understand. I think once you get things set up, I've been very impressed with it. The only improvement at least for my side would be the form.

Improved AI-driven dashboards have accelerated decisions but still need better visuals and faster refresh
Absolutely, nothing is entirely positive, and everything has both advantages and disadvantages. When I worked with Qlik Sense, circular charts were not available, which meant I had to look for alternative solutions that would be reliable or make the functionality work. There are some features that need to be added. Additionally, there is a limit to the number of fields that can be added in Qlik Sense, and I believe it would be beneficial if they increased the count for fields and columns. There might be requirements where an Excel file contains many columns that need to be displayed as visual representations to clients, and in those situations, it becomes very difficult and I have to use alternative approaches. When this problem arose, I used HTML code to write a solution and make it work. Qlik Sense should avoid these types of limitations in future updates. Another issue is page resolution. If a client wants to view the dashboard on a single page without scrolling, bar charts appear small and the values in KPIs, bar charts, scatter plots, and line graphs cannot be seen very clearly. Adding more extensions to make the job easier would also be beneficial. Improvements to reporting would be helpful as well, because working with large datasets makes reporting very difficult. Additionally, when data is refreshed, it cannot be completed in a short timeframe. Refreshing very large datasets can take one, two, or even three hours, so reducing the refresh time would be very useful for customers.

Pros

"The form feature of Prophecy is so valuable for our team because it saves us a lot of time."
"Prophecy has positively impacted my organization by greatly speeding up development time and providing capabilities of using DBT alongside functionalities associated with that, making it a very good tool to avoid coding much and utilize AI with the graphical tools available without needing to code."
"Prophecy has positively impacted our organization by allowing us to offer it as an ETL layer for our incentive management application, which has improved our story and demos to customers during the sales cycle."
"The Nprinting is useful."
"Qlik Sense has helped us in getting all inventory details in real-time ready for our sales reps to order and fulfill our inventory based on demand."

"I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an online reporting and analysis BI product."
"The GeoAnalytics paints such a clear picture. It provides a visual of our patient volume, giving us opportunities to see how we are trending in the surrounding cities, and making us more aware of locations that we need to focus more on."
"Qlik has brought tremendous value to our organization in a few key ways."

Cons

"Prophecy is pretty stable, but there are often some unexpected issues that arise, especially performance issues or problems with Airflow on deployments."
"Prophecy can be improved, as right now the form is very limited."
"Prophecy is generally stable, although it does have a few issues at times, such as the Fabric connection randomly dropping and the environment freezing occasionally."
"The management console appearance needs improvement to its look."
"It needs to allow for customization of the dashboard objects and tabs."
"Multi-server deployment: not just cloud, but on premise too, and hybrid. Needs lighter protocols to communicate between the different services and with the clients."
"Branding is not the product's strongest point. More control over the presentation colors would be great. A basic printing function would also be good. Easy connection to external tools like R Server would be nice."
"The use of APIs is not as friendly as it should be in the first place, especially when considering Python scripts and all other scripts, making it an area where improvements are required."
"As we are a very process-oriented company, we would like to see more extensions maintained from Qlik, because it's a huge budget problem to choose the right one."
"We want the next version of this solution to be cloud-based so that each user can access it from anywhere in the world with their phone, tablet, or computer without a VPN connection."
"They should generally focus more on the evolution of current capabilities rather than doing everything but only at 50% effectiveness."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We have 20 licenses for Qlik Sense, and it is a special license that allows people in the whole company to use it over time. You buy this license and there are some minutes that can be used. For example, for the users that used only a few minutes in a month, we use this license. All the people have the ability to work with Qlik Sense. However, the number of licenses is not the number of users. The number of users that uses Qlik Sense is approximately 35 people."
"The product is expensive compared to one of its competitors."
"It is a little expensive for the Italian market. Normally, Qlik Sense has two types and costs. The medium cost is around 700 euros per year."
"Qlik Sense and its pricing model can follow any scalability."
"You will spend more time on educating your staff than licensing the product."
"You need to pay 5,000 Norwegian kroner per user. Microsoft Power BI is slightly more expensive than Qlik Sense."
"Currently, our ROI is clear and concise decision-making. This timely addition will easily add $15 million to our bottom line in 2017."
"I'm not able to reveal the licensing cost for Qlik Sense, but because it was a huge deal, the cost was less than the usual cost. The license wasn't that costly. It was the infrastructure that was very costly."
