Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Reliable and good support but can be expensive
I have no real complaints about the solution. Threat detection could be better. They need to enhance their threat intelligence feeds. We would like to have more IOCs or more trade intelligence to not only rely on the intelligence of the engineer in charge but to have some threat intelligence and some seeds of IOCs and to have the host have some artificial intelligence to reduce the number of false positives. I don't see this solution being very scalable. The solution is pricey.

"I generally believe that Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is probably the best in the market right now."
"From the Palo Alto side, whatever they buy, they integrate that really well into their integration suite, and that makes a massive difference."
"Technical support is knowledgeable."
"It is very easy to use, and its usability is great. The use cases are also very easy. The visualizations of the use cases are magnificent. You cannot find this in any other solution. From my point of view, it is great."
"The most valuable feature is the way it captures the traffic, and it contains every detail of the communication."
"I would highly recommend the solution. Just go ahead and get it."
"RSA NetWitness does market analysis in a more granular form. It gives you full visibility."
"We use it for IT security purposes; this is our central log management solution, so we incorporate all of our servers and PCs into this software and can monitor the logs from there."
"The solution is stable."
"The interface of this solution is very flexible and easy to use."
"I haven't observed any of the instabilities in the solution. It is a stable solution."
"The ability to generate profiles specific to both business groups and organizations has made managing nearly 1000 endpoints very simple."
"I rate the initial setup phase a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy."
"The initial setup is not complex at all. It's very straightforward."
"Their policy management, their cloud-based dashboard and user interface are very easy to navigate."
"Webroot Business Endpoint Protection is very scalable."
"The feature we found most valuable is the AI functionality for maintaining endpoint security, which is very powerful and has been useful over the last year."
"The most valuable features of the solution include the endpoint navigation protection, the protection related to the EMS service, as well as the control and the cloud integration capabilities."

Cons

"Impact on system performance is horrible, adding a lot of delays for users."
"There is also no recovery feature; if some endpoint is under attack there must be the possibility of recovering it or restoring it to a normal state."
"The playbooks could be improved to include more functionalities or actions."
"Cortex XDR could improve its sales support team, including better commission structures and referral programs."
"In general, the price could be more competitive."
"Being able to filter the events to see those that are related to the actual alert would save time spent by the engineer."
"When it comes to core analysis, and security analysis, Cortex needs to provide more information."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks could improve by adding a sandbox feature to better compete with their competitors which have it."
"Threat detection could be better."
"This solution needs an upgrade in reporting. I have heard from RSA that they are working on this, but as of yet it is not available."
"When analyzing something, you have to click several times. It requires a lot of effort to find something."
"Its price could be improved. It is an expensive product."
"The contamination feature could be improved."
"RSA NetWitness Network could improve on integration with non-native application integration."
"The initial setup requires a high level of skill."
"The deployment process is complex. I don't know why, but this solution will suddenly stop working. Logs stop coming. Often, one thing or another stops working. Most of the time, one of my team members is working with troubleshooting and working with technical support. Log passing is also one of the biggest challenge."
"I believe that Webroot Business Endpoint Protection should offer a more modern UI."
"There needs to be more advanced analytics. It would make it a more powerful antivirus solution within the marketplace."
"We need more control over when upgrades to the app are rolled out."
"The solution could improve by providing better ransomware protection."
"The reporting is the weakest part of the Webroot console. Frequently, I export to Excel to massage something into it to pass on to others."
"Webroot is very reactionary. It waits until the threat is active within memory to try and detect it. They need better pre-execution detection and prevention."
"There is one thing that is deplorable with the product that I would change as soon as I found a better one. However, the reports are worthless."
"It would be great if there was a feature which would allow you to scan an individual file on an endpoint user's computer."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is $55 to $90 USD per endpoint per month."
"Traps pays for itself within the first 16 months of a three-year subscription. This is attributed to OPEX savings, as security teams spent less time trying to identify and isolate malware for analysis as a result of a reduction in malware incidents, false positives, and breach avoidance."
"Its pricing is kind of in line with its competitors and everybody else out there."
"Our license will require renewal in August, after which the maintenance will continue as usual."
"It has reasonable pricing for the use cases it provides to the company."
"The pricing is okay, although direct support can be expensive."
"I am using the Community edition."
"The solution is expensive. It's pricing is on a yearly-basis."
"The pricing is not very economical. It is a quite costly product for India. One thing is that when you purchase it, you have to purchase a module separately."
"It is highly scalable. It can be bought based on your requirements."
"The cost depends on the number of endpoints that you want to monitor, but it is not expensive."
"It is an expensive product."
"The price of the solution depends on the environment. If the environment is large then it will cost more. However, the larger the environment with more endpoints, you will receive an increased discount. If the environment is very small, then you might think it is expensive. It is always better to buy in bulk to receive a discount. The minimum number of assets is usually 500, with discounts on 1000 and 2000."
"They can easily adjust if you have the requirements which are required. If you have a budget cut or a budget constraint, they can bend."
"NetWitness Endpoint is less costly than its competitors, but it offers fewer features."
"I do not have any opinion on the pricing or licensing of the product."
"From a pricing standpoint, I would rate it a four out of five."
"The pricing is high."
"Webroot is less expensive than SentinelOne."
"Work on a price tier plan."
"I think the price is fairly reasonable. I was really prepared to pay more, but the price is fine."
"We are on an annual subscription for the use of Webroot Business Endpoint Protection."
"I rate the product's pricing a three on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. There are no costs in addition to the product's standard licensing fees."
"The solution is very cost-effective."
