Users can easily deploy and manage it
The solution's most valuable feature is that it is simple to deploy and manage. I can't say what features of the tool I like since it is very much a deploy-and-forget product. We don't use any advanced features of the tool in my company. The tool's recovery options are good, especially since it integrates with Active Directory, making everything a simple process. The product's integration capabilities are good.

The primary function of it is to back it up off-site so that if you ever have any kind of data corruption, data loss, that you can easily recover that data.
They have done some drastic improvements just in the last year that have really met a lot of our needs. Being able to sync between computers was a big one; the ability to administer it through a web portal, that was a big thing; and it's all in Connected MX now. At the moment, I don't have anything that I would ask the product manager to add to it, because he's done a really good job of getting it to where it's at right now. Nonetheless, one thing they could do better on is knowledge and education about it. Nobody knows about it, and I feel that everybody needs it, they just don't know it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There's a lot of manageability within the solution. This is very helpful."
"It is easy to implement and has AD integration."
"One significant aspect is that without the BitLocker key, you can't log in to the user's laptop. I appreciate the capability to encrypt the user's hard drive, ensuring access only with the recovery key. In an enterprise setup, we store all BitLocker keys on our server. So, whenever a user attempts to log in, the architecture authenticates with the key. This ensures that our data is secure. Even if the user's laptop is lost, we have confidence that the data remains inaccessible. So far, our user data is well-protected."
"The ease of administering and integrating the solution is great."
"You can do a silent remote deployment very fast."
"It maintains security on my computer. Since I travel a lot, it gives me confidence that if, for some reason, my computer is lost, my data won't be compromised."
"We have not seen any bugs or glitches, so the stability is good."
"The hard drive encryption is very good."
"The integration features are the most valuable. The integration is specific to each solution. It works well with SQL and Oracle databases and so on."

Cons

"There are options which could be implemented to make it a little more like PGP Whole Disk Encryption."
"The reporting in Microsoft is very minimal."
"My experience with the billing system at Microsoft was very frustrating."
"The pricing should be improved."
"The people at the first level of support refer you to articles that do not pertain to the problem at hand."
"If the encryption was faster then it would make the experience more pleasant."
"Some of the technical internal functions, such as encryption protocols or something similar, could be improved."
"The solution should have a better user interface and dashboard."
"On the exchange server, you do not have the best options for adjusting your mailbox. This feature is not included. Also, disaster recovery backups can be improved. Some other solutions, such as HP Data Protector, have more features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution is included with Microsoft Server and my clients did not have to pay for anything extra."
"We already use Microsoft products, and Microsoft BitLocker is an add-on product that is free of cost for us."
"The price of this solution should be more competitive."
"Microsoft BitLocker's pricing is included in the Microsoft license, and you don't have to pay an additional fee for it."
"Microsoft BitLocker is a free feature when you are using Microsoft solutions."
"The solution is priced low. I would rate the product's pricing one out of ten."
"We can activate the product at no cost."
"BitLocker is already in Windows 10 and its price has already been "paid"."
