Location analytics helps in finding rogue hotspots and locating missing devices
I use Location Analytics occasionally to identify a rogue hotspot or to find the last location of a missing device. In some cases, if there is an interference issue, I might be able to determine the location. However, such instances are unusual I use Location Analytics to identify rogue hotspots…

Reliable scanning and integration strengthen security infrastructure
InsightVM has a very organized GUI with ease of use. The vulnerability scans are reliable, and the credential scan is a beneficial feature. The solution is efficient and trustworthy. It's based on the CVSS risk scoring system, which is well-recognized and effective. The integration capabilities through APIs allow easy integration with existing security infrastructure.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The pricing and licensing for Meraki are good, and I would rate it as a nine out of ten."
"I use Location Analytics to identify rogue hotspots and find the last location of missing devices."
"The initial setup process is easy."
"The stability of the solution is excellent, and I would rate it a ten out of ten."
"In general, it is helpful because it allows administrators to see where the Wi-Fi and network services are being most used."
"Technical support has always been very good."
"I like Location Analytics' geofencing features for devices. You can manage thousands of devices with just a push of a button and deploy applications in seconds. For example, in schools, you can deploy an app update for thousands of iPads in just two clicks."
"The stability of Rapid7 InsightVM is excellent."
"InsightVM has a very organized GUI with ease of use."
"most valuable features of Rapid7 InsightVM for me are creating dynamic asset tags, generating reports, and deploying the agent. The agent scans assets every four hours, providing real-time data on any devices. Although there weren't any significant new features compared to our previous tool, having both SIEM and vulnerability management handled by one tool made things easier. We could gather logs from different devices and cloud sources, and perform detailed investigations without switching tools. I haven't worked with the automation capabilities of InsightVM. For remediation prioritization, we check the vulnerability, search for solutions on open platforms, and work with different teams to apply patches after proper testing. Currently, we don’t have any AI or ASM projects assisted by InsightVM"
"I rate InsightVM eight out of 10 for ease of setup. It takes two or three engineers to deploy. The solution requires some maintenance. It's mainly cleaning up data."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the agent and the scanning."
"NeXpose is a pretty good vulnerability scanner... There's a nice dashboard."
"The solution works well."
"You can bring in and get online to do reports fairly quickly,"

Cons

"There are no specific areas for improvement as everything is working very well."
"My biggest complaint with Meraki Location Analytics is the lack of visibility into the back end. Everything we do is through a customer GUI, and there's limited access to CLI functions."
"I would like to see all of the features included in a single package."
"The technical support before implementation could be better for premium partners."
"The biggest issue is negotiating the price with a client. That's the most complicated part, but the product is worth it."
"The pricing is a pain point for us. It's a bit expensive."
"They should integrate the solution with multiple products."
"The product does not have the capability to do dynamic scanning of non-web applications."
"This solution creates false-positives which can cause issues with reporting."
"InsightVM could be improved by providing passive scanning as an option."
"The reporting is very bad when you compare it with other vulnerability assessment tools."
"Rapid7 InsightVM, has impressive capabilities, especially when it comes to managing video equipment. However, we've noticed that Rapid7 also offers a cloud solution called CloudSec, and we don't have that. We think it would be better if InsightVM had all the features for both on-premise and cloud management."
"There was functionality present previously, however, currently, we can't integrate directly with Jira Service Desk - only the cloud version."
"I would say that it improved our visibility, but it left things open."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"They have different tiers of pricing including one-year, three-year, five-year, seven-year, and ten-year."
"The product is less expensive compared to other vendors for gold partners."
"The product is cheaper than the other similar tools available in the market."
"The licensing is asset-based and very straightforward."
"The license is annual and this is the optimal approach when it comes to most software."
"The price of the solution is less than the competitors."
"Pricing is reasonable because we pay according to asset usage. We can define our assets and sites according to our preference."
"The solution's pricing is better than Nexus which charges a high amount for very little use."
"InsightVM is an expensive product, especially compared to its competitors, at around a million NOK per year."
"I do not have experience with the pricing of the solution."
