Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Platform excels across departments but requires more focus on integration and IT management features
Kaseya's focus is on something else and is not aligned to the business model we are into, and the enhancements which we are expecting are not happening on their platform or their products. The enhancements are very limited. Multi-tenancy was lacking in Kaseya Vorex. Tenancy was not 100% there in Kaseya Vorex. The IT Asset Management feature was very limited. The Service Desk was also limited because it is not a full-fledged ITSM; it was a professional service automation platform. Integrated communication tools were somewhat lacking in Kaseya. Multi-channel collaboration integrations were not there. The Service Desk was not in complete compliance with the ITIL framework.

Cloud storage with no hardware needed and great comprehensive reports
The software is cloud-based, so I do not need to store any data locally. It is a fully software-based solution, eliminating the need for investment in hardware. We have the capability to create reports as needed. It is good software to use, as there were no incidents where I needed to contact technical support. Additionally, it is free software.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is object cloning, the ability to get into websites and do things faster."
"The AI Agent of Automation Anywhere is very powerful and very good, with accurate, reliable, and faster responses, and it is able to understand the context so that from the next time onwards it delivers exactly what I expect."
"The most valuable thing about using this product is that we are able to use the time that we spent doing manual processing for other progressive purposes."
"RPA is a feature that really helped eliminate errors during the execution of structured business processes."
"AA helped us to reduce the processing time of requests almost instantly."
"We have seen increased productivity, because what used to take about two days to finish with laymen doing computer work, a bot can finish within a seven to eight hour time frame, meaning we are removing a lot of man-hours."
"So far, the experience with Automation Anywhere in the last two and a half years has been wonderful."
"At the most granular level, automating people's daily tasks has been helpful by freeing them up to do higher value-add activities, which is definitely beneficial."
"The platform's most valuable feature is the ability to produce daily summary reports."
"Kaseya Vorex is a comprehensive platform with a service desk, project module, CRM, and a complete finance model with auto billing."
"Spiceworks is generic and free."
"Customer Service: Pretty good, but some issues were unresolvable."
"The solution is easy to use and easy to manage."
"Spiceworks gives you a very good but basic help desk platform that is easy to implement and use."
"It lets us know whether devices are getting out of date and tracked warranties. Spiceworks also gave me visibility in terms of what software was installed on each device and its status."
"The software is cloud-based, so I do not need to store any data locally."
"The price, as it's free."
"Ticketing works really well."

Cons

"We have a third bot which takes longer being automated than it did with the human process."
"We have a few issues which have persisted. These end up restarting the machine. We are hoping in version 11.3 of Automation Anywhere, our compatibility and infrastructure issues will be resolved."
"Though the courses in the certification's learning hub are great and awesome, there is some more space for adding more explained contents."
"The bot creation process is straightforward in some ways and complicated in others. You can get your initial stuff laid out really quick, but then putting in your exception handling is more time consuming."
"The Recorder action in the A2019 Community edition is not supported."
"Automation Anywhere could improve by better integrating with DevOps. Currently, it cannot be integrated 100% with DevOps methodology, which many companies are requiring."
"Our current version needs drag and drop, but that should be in the next release."
"They need to make the solution more robust."
"Kaseya Vorex's customization features could be better."
"Kaseya's focus is on something else and is not aligned to the business model we are into, and the enhancements which we are expecting are not happening on their platform or their products."
"Only issue was with scalability. After some time, as the back-end DB grew bigger, the solution started to perform slower."
"Since Spiceworks is a free tool, it's not very scriptable or customizable."
"The devices keep showing offline in the dashboard, but when we check it, it's already online."
"I would like to see more information when drilling down into access permissions, assignments management, or tagging."
"The main issue we had with the Spiceworks was always performance related."
"Attachment handling within a ticket could be improved; only one item can be attached at a time unless email is used."
"It would be nice to have remote access to the solution via a tablet. They also need remote control from a PC. Right now, to complete the technical support process, you have to have a tool to access the PC, and check the problems."
"The ticketing system could be more robust, more like a service desk."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Cost is the biggest area in need of improvement for Automation Anywhere. Annually it's $250,000. That's what deterred us right away."
"I am not sure about the costs, but two Bot Runners and four Bot Creators may cost approximately 1CR."
"I am not responsible for the pricing part, but I know the pricing is competitive compared to other tools."
"The solution is quite expensive. Not every organization can consider this option."
"Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
"It's a bit expensive compared to other RPA tools on the market."
"The Automation Anywhere license is affordable and not complex."
"Our annual licensing costs are about $500,000."
Information not available
"It's free."
"Seeing that it is a low-cost solution, I would advise you to go ahead with Spiceworks and experiment with it to see if you can get things working properly, especially if you currently don't have any existing service desk software in place."
"The product is free! Get it now."
"The tool is cheap."
"It might be about $300 annually for a bigger company. If you pay annually, it's better and cheaper."
