Good documentation and customization with fairly straightforward setup
If reporting could be more robust, that would be phenomenal. Any time you're obviously dumping into Excel and having to manually manipulate data it takes time. It would be great if we could do everything in the platform. They do offer some great products. I wish it was all bundled together. They have an Offer Suite you have to pay additional for, which would be great if it was included with their initial product. There are items as a system admin we should have access to change. I do believe iCIMS is working on a certificate solution, where we would be allowed to make some of those changes ourselves.
Streamlined time tracking boosts operational efficiency across multiple regions
The time tracking feature is the most effective for employee management. UKG is used in Europe, the United States, Australia, and East Asian countries for HR activities like payroll. The application is like an ERP, providing comprehensive features for organizations, simplifying their processes, and reducing the need to use multiple software solutions.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Over time, I've seen them build on their platform, make improvements, enhance the user experience, and continue to gather feedback for improvement from end users."
"The solution offers good customization and good dashboards."
"UTA assists our plants with keeping time and making sure our employees get paid timely and accurately."
"The ease of use; UltiPro is easy for both the tech savvy HR person and those with limited knowledge of using HCM applications."
"The entire event was really beneficial to me and I look forward to attending again."
"UTM has improved our productivity in having our timesheets produced in a timely manner, in order to process payroll earlier than we had with previous payroll product."
"We currently use onboarding, UTA and Core, and the most valuable feature is the promised improvement in customer service with rapid response."
"The payroll functionality allows for immediate correcting of pay stubs."
"We have not encountered any deployment issues."
"Talent Management and Business Intelligence are the most valuable features."

Cons

"If reporting could be more robust, that would be phenomenal."
"If reporting could be more robust, that would be phenomenal."
"Ultimate is growing fast and this has occasionally impacted response time with the customer support team."
"I would like to see more functionality in the next release to be able to get hours and dollars per calendar month rather than just by payroll in the Business Intelligence reports."
"Often run into the custom zone for any needed features which could be considered standard."
"Pricing is high for a limited license."
"Some reports are not accurate."
"Reporting is always a hurdle for any user just because it is so extensive. They provide a lot of out-of-the-box reports, but it is something that you always need to work on because you need more advanced writing of reports."
"Export of time takes too much time; would like to be able to push through some changes once we open payroll; would like to "undo" an import after submit and calc without having to start over from the start; benefits feeds; negative deduction refunds without earnings and improved communication from Ulti to tax filing."
"In-house scale of 1-10, 5."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"While I am unsure of the licensing cost itself, the total cost of implementation and licensing for a company with over 5000 employees would be around 6,00,000. So, there are additional costs beyond licensing."
"I wasn't involved in the pricing part. I'm a user, and I believe it is based on the user count. One thing that is nice about Ultimate is that you can learn how to use the system without additional fees. The learning aspect is the life of a product, and the training was a huge reason why we went with Ultimate. We did have some integration costs. They were a part of the implementation because of the integrations to other systems that we included in our implementation."
"The pricing depends on the number of licenses we buy."
"UKG's pricing and licensing model involves ongoing expenses based on the number of employees paid. The initial implementation cost is low when UKG implements it directly. However, when partners handle the implementation, it becomes more expensive since partners don't receive the monthly recurring fees."
"If you're going for the full suite, it can be fairly pricey."
"The platform is not affordable but also not the most expensive."
