Affordability and security improve our cloud experience while learning new systems
I'm not working with any AI features in IBM Public Cloud, but they are in the process of building it.I am very satisfied with the security that IBM Public Cloud provides. I would rate IBM Public Cloud eight out of ten, where one is worst and ten is the best.

Cost-effectiveness and pricing consistency support diverse high-intensity applications
The services of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) are quite competent when compared to AWS Cloud, and they are also lower in cost. We use compute, storage, and network services. A notable feature is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's consistent global pricing, which is advantageous. Furthermore, applications using Oracle Database not only work seamlessly on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) but also benefit from a 25% offset on Oracle Database licenses.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of IBM Public Cloud is the AI integrations."
"The beauty of cloud service providers, especially public cloud service providers, is that they are scalable every time when you need them because their payment model is pay-as-you-go."
"This product is very good because it is accessible in remote locations, and anyone can deploy from any place."
"The availability is second to none. Customer support is very good."
"This is a predictable and dependable service."
"There is no installation for this product because it is a cloud product."
"It is easy to deploy what you need for the initial setup"
"For non-complex applications, the IBM Cloud works fine and the price is much lower than the competitors."
"The solution is pretty straightforward to setup and use."
"Oracle Cloud has wonderful features and offerings as a service. It's not just a pure-play cloud product or SaaS application. It has a complete suite from infrastructure to platform as a service to software as a service, and this is what I find most valuable in Oracle Cloud. For infrastructure on the cloud or infrastructure as a service on the cloud, there's OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Oracle Cloud is easily available. You just click it. I also found the feature of creating a landing zone valuable. Oracle Cloud is also very flexible as it lets you have a hybrid cloud model along with other cloud solutions. I also like that it offers good management on the cloud. Oracle Cloud is ready to use as a service, and that's wonderful because the time to market is very quick. I also like that Oracle Cloud offers high performance and high availability. A lot of people claim that there's high availability in their companies' cloud operations, but technically speaking, pure high availability in today's context is found in Oracle Cloud."
"The initial setup was easy. It takes just a few minutes to create a virtual machine."
"I head the sales and marketing team. So, specifically on the feature set side, multi-tenancy is the one that I'm most familiar with. It's also the one that we found to be the most beneficial to us because it allows us to take clients that have multiple sites. For instance, one of our larger clients, which is a bank based out of South Africa, has offices in multiple countries. It allows us to multi-tenant each and create a tenant for each country within multi-tenanted architecture."
"We use Oracle Cloud to host the OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud Service) and APEX."
"Just having the many options and features offered by the product through the cloud is a major benefit."
"We appreciate the fact that this solution will operate with both native and third-party applications. This has meant that we don't need to change all of our systems to accommodate it within our network."
"The most valuable feature is the monitoring."

Cons

"Maybe performance enhancers and reports could be better improved. If they do so, it would be better. Of all the drawbacks I saw, this would be the biggest enhancement."
"The solution’s pricing could be improved."
"It could be more secure."
"They could improve on customizing reporting capabilities."
"It will be challenging to implement if you do not have any experience."
"The deployment can be a bit of a pain. There are a lot of packages and a lot of options and it can require complex configuration to get it right."
"Normally, for any cloud, we get a lot of information on the web, but that is missing in the case of IBM Public Cloud. We need some technical support documents. That is the only thing missing in IBM Public Cloud."
"Support could be improved."
"The solution is expensive"
"In a future release, they could improve by adding some form of machine learning and artificial intelligence."
"There is room for improvement for stability."
"The deployment from on-premises to the cloud is a bit complicated."
"Sometimes when we install something, we need to partition and maybe rebuild the index. This can cause some issues for performance. In the future, I would like to see more stability and fewer bugs."
"The pricing is a bit expensive."
"It could be improved on the user-friendly side."
"There should be more management automation."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing is not as fair as Amazon or Azure."
"In order to be competitive, you have to commit to a contract for at least one year, but you pay a fixed monthly fee."
"The licensing fees are straightforward and predictable."
"IBM has a lesser price compared to other cloud service providers like Azure and AWS."
"The price of IBM Cloud is very cheap compared to competitors AWS and Azure."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"We are using the trial version of this solution, so we have not paid anything."
"IBM Public Cloud is pretty cheap. They have an ongoing free tier that basically won't expire, so as long as your solution is small enough, you can have a test set that you can use for demos, which will cost you almost nothing."
"Oracle Cloud Platform has a decent pricing model."
"The subscription cost is too high."
"It's very expensive compared to AWS."
"The pricing is the best."
"Oracle Cloud Platform is a bit costly. You can always bring your own license or subscribe to the SaaS option, but the SaaS option is very costly. I rate the pricing a six out of ten."
"Its pricing is complex, but as partners, we can get away with quite a bit of discounting because we deal with them directly. I would rate their pricing probably a one or two out of five because they're quite expensive. Microsoft Azure will probably be the cheapest because depending on the Microsoft product that you have, they have some sort of bundling. There are things that they give you to get you onto Azure. AWS is probably somewhere in the middle."
"I compared Oracle Cloud Platform with other competitor providers like Azure, and I don't think Oracle is too expensive."
"The costs involved are low when it comes to Oracle Cloud, especially when compared to AWS."
