Asset management has become streamlined and decision-making is now driven by lifecycle data
The best features IBM Maximo offers are that it is very simple to deploy on OpenShift using Ansible playbooks. It also has excellent support for integration, is simple to configure, and the asset register is very straightforward. Work management and managing inventory are seamless. In terms of integration support, I have used preventive maintenance, work generation, accurate work execution planning, tracking actuals, and I can easily integrate with other tools and systems. IBM Maximo Suite gives me a single place where service cycles are standardized and tied to compliance. IBM Maximo has positively impacted my organization as it has been a very useful tool. It reduced human error by moving away from pen and paper-based scheduling. It saved cost by minimizing unexpected downtime of assets, with approximately 50% of time being saved. We have also reduced overwork among staff by removing redundant information and smoothing task flows. It helps us scale our team without micromanaging small issues.

Accounting processes have become transparent and time tracking supports our consulting projects
The built-in analytics tools of NetSuite ERP are not good enough for my needs. I did not create the accounting reports; my accounting team developed all of those. I know that all the data we need to analyze in CRM and from projects must be exported, and we run reports on those. The built-in analytics tools in NetSuite ERP do not help me identify opportunities or risks at all. I export all the data and use Power BI to analyze it. I do not utilize the customizable dashboards and just use a normal home page. The inventory management feature does not help us because we do not have any inventory or stock. The advanced financial management features are basic, as general ledger functionality is fundamental to accounting. I would not call it advanced. The principles are as old as accounting itself. NetSuite ERP is a cloud-based accounting platform with nothing exceptional to note. Their pricing is a package deal, so the deeper the investment, the more features are available and the more difficult it becomes to leave. I would like to see additional features in the next release to make it more competitive. I only use a fraction of the functionality because we do not have logistics, merchandising, warehousing, or inventory. We are a consultancy that sells software, implements software products, and provides advisory services, so our accounting needs are actually quite basic. I would rate this product an eight overall.

Pros

"We were able to scale perfectly."
"Its capabilities let us organize our work."
"With Maximo, we can manage, organize, and track incidents, claims, jobs, tasks, preventive and corrective maintenance, locations, and assets."
"Our measurable results show that unplanned downtime decreased by a minimum of 15 to 20%, work order processing time decreased by 30%, data consistency across sites significantly improved, and preventive maintenance compliance increased by 20 to 25%."
"It can be particularly useful for power line operations, enabling linemen in the field to gather information and send it across the country as well as different parts of the world."
"The most valuable features are the ability to create work orders and preventative maintenance."
"The most valuable features of IBM Maximo are the overall power and interface, and there are a lot of different modules that we use that are helpful, and additionally, it's an integrated solution and it has a lot of capabilities."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to correct maintenance."
"Technical support is excellent."
"No valuable quote could be determined from the review content."
"It's perfect for a company that is growing, that's still on the border of small to midsize, and it fits perfectly from a cost and functionality perspective of them trying to get to standard practices that allows them to grow efficiently."
"I have found there to be many features, such as manufacturing, accounting, financials, inventory, and purchasing."
"I recommend this product to professional services companies and those with complex international financial requirements. NetSuite ERP has strong capabilities in the finance domain that other ERPs may lack."
"I am impressed with the product's ease of use. It also helps us reduce the techstack."
"We can install the bundles based on our needs."
"The inventory feature in NetSuite ERP is very valuable to me because it provides clear estimates about the depreciation of details and includes useful mobile modules."

Cons

"Areas for improvement would be the user interface and support for Arabic. They could also be more customer-oriented."
"IBM Maximo covers GL but only at a surface level. It doesn't provide deep account analysis."
"IBM Maximo can improve the financial support and financial application, to make it more similar to an ERP as opposed to an EAM. Overall they can improve the financial processes."
"Vendor management needs enhancement."
"Revision management of file attachments."
"Many improvements are needed in the customer support service department because of delays in response, which are very costly."
"It's not user-friendly. It could use shortcuts for frequently requested services."
"The interface is not very easy or user-friendly and is in need of improvement."
"In NetSuite ERP, they should focus on offering better customization options."
"In terms of the main improvement to NetSuite is the talent itself. It's grown so fast and there are about 25,000 companies running on it, and it's a relatively newer system compared to other competitors. It's growing so fast that the talent base in the partner organization (there's about 200 of them), is pretty thin."
"If they could provide more integration options to connect with different products, that would be ideal."
"As with any system offering large volumes of data, there are limitations on processing large volumes of data in custom ways."
"Many features such as local taxation and fund management are not there yet."
"Additionally, adding advanced modules such as AI components or customer service modules could help the system become more scalable."
"The pricing is high. For small companies, it is not very competitive."
"Improvement-wise, it should be more customizable. Currently, you can't enhance the product yourself in terms of development for any applications unless you've got a very strong and big development team. Those are the skills that are in very short supply."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of IBM Maximo could reduce, it is expensive."
"IBM Maximo offers a licensing application, and you have to comply with the license."
"Where available, concurrent licenses can be more cost efficient and provide more flexibility."
"I do not know about the price of the solution. However, this has been an expensive project overall."
"$USD700 per agent user."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is low and ten is high, I rate the pricing a nine. The price is very high."
"You pay for what you get. There are lots of options depending on how you would like to implement Maximo."
"Explore the possibility of using DB2. You will avoid the cost of SQL Server or Oracle licenses."
"There is an annual license required to use this solution."
"It is expensive."
"The price is less than the cost of daily hours."
"It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
"It's very competitively priced due to it being a subscription model. So, clients are quite happy with the pricing. I would rate it an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."
"When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
"NetSuite ERP has a cost per module you want to use, and then you have the license per user."
"The price of the solution is quite high."
