Analytics integration has improved how I manage user identity and understand customer behavior
I face difficulties with the authentication parts in Google Firebase when it goes with iOS applications. With Android applications, that is easier because Google owns it. When it goes to iOS applications, there should be a much more straightforward, smoother way. I mostly faced that with Flutter because with Flutter, there are two sides with Android and iOS. The Android part was pretty much easier for me, but when it goes to the iOS part, there was more work on that.

Good stability and scalability with excellent additional services
The features that are on offer are pretty standard. The pricing and services that surround the solution are great. For example, if we need to find a partner in a country where they do not have a cloud, they will help us find that partner. Solutions such as Amazon and Oracle do not offer this level of service. The solution has quite good documentation.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Google Fire is providing a lot of features, such as the deployment of our application, and the real-time database where we can store data."
"Firebase has been helpful in providing analytics and crash insights."
"The Firebase hosting and the automated authentication service, as well as the cloud functionality, are the solution's most valuable features."
"It helps me understand user behavior more effectively with Google Analytics."
"We used it to create credentials for DART for our Android and Flutter applications."
"We're able to use the solution in several processes."
"The scalability is good."
"I would recommend Google Firebase for its cost-effectiveness, availability, and ease of deployment."
"The initial setup process is more accessible than one of its competitors."
"The pricing and services that surround the solution are great, and if we need to find a partner in a country where they do not have a cloud, they will help us find that partner, which is a level of service that solutions such as Amazon and Oracle do not offer."

Cons

"One of the challenges I was facing when I was using it was the library called Google Dialogflow which allows you to connect your chatbot with an intent. So there is so much adding when you are trying to connect it with your service because you have to do a lot of repetition writing a new intent, putting it step by set so it is good to escape. I believe it should be flexible and dedicate the intents based on the relating and to write a lesser code when doing that."
"There's always room for improvement in every product, and the major improvement that's needed in Google Firebase is its simplification, particularly for unsavvy users or non-technical users. If you're not tech-savvy, it would be very difficult for you to use the functions of the solution and understand its security rules. If you want even non-technical people to find it easy to use Google Firebase, it should be simplified because the difference between screen-derived management and code-derived management isn't complex, so simplification wouldn't be an issue."
"There was no way of knowing how the rise in traffic would impact the price."
"The solution needs to offer capabilities to work offline. Like Firestore, we should be able to do insertion, updating, and deletion offline."
"Firebase's real-time information isn't technically real-time. It takes a while to upload user activity into the app. It's not as fast as Datadog, the other solution we use."
"They could add a session replay to better understand how a crash or bug happened."
"The only thing that I won't do on Firebase is the hosting side of things for a progressive web app because it feels like you actually still need to download the app first before you can actually get into the functionality of the app."
"You need to have some experience with deployment."
"The solution needs to provide a bigger portfolio of services. The solution could use more advanced monitoring."
"NTT Cloud’s performance could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of Google Firebase is very good."
"They have a free tier that will cover most projects. For more intensive use, you pay as you use it, but the price is very cheap."
"It is an expensive tool."
"I rate the price of Google Firebase a four out of five."
"The tool is affordable."
"We are using the free version of Google Firebase."
"The product is free."
"The moment you go into volumes, then you work on a pay-per-volume basis."
"I rate the product’s pricing a four out of ten."
