Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Cloud automation has improved development efficiency and supports secure MFA and SSO
The best features in Google Cloud Identity are their cloud, their VMs, and their cloud VMs, which are too good compared to OCI. Using Google Cloud Identity is beneficial in terms of finance as we are always doing automation and AI, and it is definitely the best. I use multi-factor authentication with Google Cloud Identity. Regarding how Google Cloud Identity helps to improve security, I can say that security is something everyone is using. I do not feel any different. After this, everything will be JWT token and all things we are using. I do not feel any difference in there. I have used the SSO feature, single sign-on, with Google Cloud Identity. In a few words, how Google Cloud Identity affected user management within my organization is that it is not done for my organization but for one of my clients only. I already have the ADs there, but still, it is the best. I think the reporting tools of Google Cloud Identity are good. I cannot comment on these kinds of things for this particular product.

One area for improvement for Kandji would be having a bigger suite of applications. I noticed that some of the niche apps our data software firm needs were not in the regular library. We were able to use the custom app feature to create those apps ourselves, but I would love it if Kandji could expand the library. I also wish Kandji could lock down different ports on MacBooks based on which ones we wanted to shut down, and I hope there is an easier way to sandbox people's bring your own device devices because when we're doing SOC 2, it really wants us to sandbox things so that if someone were to take a device that is not ours, we could delete just our data off there and not theirs. An improvement needed for Kandji would be the ability to remote into devices. I would appreciate something that is really reliable for that without having to buy third-party software.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most important part is that they're fast in implementing and integrating with the Windows operating system, as well as how it integrates with other Office 365 products."
"The most valuable feature is the policy CSPs."
"The ability to work from all over the planet is valuable. You just need a functioning and working Internet connection."
"Microsoft Endpoint Manager's patch management has been the most helpful to us."
"We can implement a MAM policy in this Intune and protect the device through mobile application development without touching it. The interface is easy to use and understand."
"My favorite feature of Microsoft Intune is the dashboard; the dashboard is very simple and user-friendly, and any person, even without prior knowledge, can understand it easily by seeing the interface dashboard."
"The ability to push applications on devices is valuable. You do not have to manually install applications one by one. If you like to use ten different applications, you do not have to manually go and download them one by one. Intune can compile a package for you, and then you can just push them from the admin center."
"Implementing Microsoft Intune is easy."
"The most valuable feature of Google Cloud Identity is its simplicity in deployment."
"The main control page and the ability to manage all our users from a web-based portal are the most valuable aspects of the solution. That's particularly useful because we're a heterogeneous network."
"It is a very stable solution. I would rate it a ten out of ten."
"The solution is user-friendly."
"It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The Cloud Identity is well advanced in terms of features, applications, and the components that it is offering."
"Google is always on its own, and Google Cloud Identity is pretty good on every point."
"The tool provides a free service that you can integrate for laptop authentication. You also don’t need a separate Active Directory."
"The customer support at Kandji is phenomenal and is the best I have experienced from any vendor."
"I highly recommend Kandji to others looking into using it since I have not seen any game-breaking issues; it is highly reliable, scalable, improves security, and reduces the time individuals need to spend on system configuration for security updates."
"I have seen a return on investment with Kandji, as I save time."
"After deploying Kandji, I see a return on investment because the IT workload is reduced due to automated and faster employee onboarding, and we also have fewer support tickets because we do not have to manually install the software as employees can use Kandji Self Service and install the software on their own."
"Kandji has positively impacted my organization because it was very easy to implement and manage all of our devices, especially when we manage with the ISO and SOC 2 certifications that we need for our organization."
"Kandji has positively impacted my organization by simplifying the management of the Apple fleet."
"Kandji has positively impacted my organization by increasing our security, reducing our resolution times, and ensuring that all employees who work from home have their computers working from day one."
"Everything is now compliant and controlled, and we know where each device is, with all updates pushed and managed and licenses that they do not require."

Cons

"Microsoft support was not very responsive, and it took approximately one and a half months to get on a call to clear what the problem was."
"Automations in Microsoft Intune can be more elaborated; KQL (Kusto Query Language) is available, but if multiple automation options were readily available, which would include PowerShell, KQL, JSON, and different interpreters like VS Code or Python readily available from Microsoft Intune, it would help administration and management much better."
"Unfortunately, Intune’s management extension does not provide the same level of logging, and I lack the visibility in Intune that I had with SCCM."
"Microsoft Intune can be improved with faster policy synchronization, more intuitive troubleshooting tools, enhanced reporting and analytics, and simplified management for complex and hybrid environments, along with better third-party integration support and more granular administrative controls for enterprise-scale deployments."
"There could be more wizard-driven policy development or creation. Some of the policies can get quite complex. If they have a wizard that assists the administrators in creating the policy, that will be a great job."
"In terms of the admin experience, it is straightforward, but the Windows enrollment experience could be improved. Sometimes, for enrollment, we have to reset devices and re-enroll them. Just configuring Windows, Azure, or Active Directory doesn't enroll the devices. We need easy enrollment for Windows."
"I have not been satisfied with it, and I am planning to change it soon. There are a lot of updates coming from Microsoft that suddenly affect our security policies."
"The main differences between Intune and other products are, like I mentioned, in terms of the Mac. If the customers are majorly moving and adopting Mac laptops while they are using the Intune, they are leaving for other platforms, like Workspace ONE and vMOX."
"The integration should be made easier."
"The interface could be more user-friendly."
"I would like to see more integration in future releases."
"If I were to suggest enhancements, it would mainly revolve around ensuring compatibility and maximizing integration options with various services."
"To improve the product, the integration with third-party products could always be smoother."
"In Google, if we want support they are very slow to respond."
"They are going ahead and adding a few more things to the Google Cloud premium edition. Their stock management and remote computer management can be improved."
"The solution needs to better integrate with Mac's OS."
"I rated Kandji an eight because the laptop needs to be connected to Wi-Fi to erase it."
"One thing I have noticed is that Kandji is mainly for Mac devices."
"In Kandji, I see a drawback related to the remote wipe function."
"There are certain limitations with blueprints where each machine can only have one or must have a blueprint, which is frustrating since certain machines may not need to have a blueprint straight away for testing."
"The Windows part needs a lot of work."
"One thing I think could be improved is what happens when a user gets locked out."
"While I do not have anything specific to add about the features, I do think there is a lack of flexibility in Kandji."
"One way Kandji can be improved is through pricing, as other market providers comparatively have a lower price."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's reasonable. They're not giving it away, but it's reasonable."
"All security solutions worldwide are expensive. Microsoft has allowed a small scale of features within Microsoft Intune for cost-efficient solutions. If you want the full suite, you need to invest more to gain better security features."
"It's affordable. In comparison to the competitors, the price depends on what features you need from Intune, but it's affordable. There are no hidden costs, but there are some features that go for a premium price. Those are the add-ons for which you have to pay extra."
"Intune's pricing is reasonable considering its benefits and the high costs it helps avoid."
"I would rate the price a four out of ten with ten being the most expensive."
"There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products."
"The clients pay for a license and each can have a different type of license, such as an E3 or E5."
"The pricing is competitive, but it is not cheap."
"The fees are paid monthly and there are no additional costs other than the licensing fees."
"The pricing is a bit expensive."
"The solution is not expensive."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"The product is billed on a monthly basis depending on the number of users."
"When I worked on Cloud Identity, they offered a free or enterprise version. You can synchronize and create up to 100 user identities in the free version. After that, you have to purchase a business or enterprise license. In that model, you'll be charged based on the number of users."
"I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"The licensing cost depends on the partners and the relationship between the company and the partners."
"Users have to pay a yearly licensing fee for Kandji, which is expensive."
