Setup is straightforward from a business user standpoint but MAQL needs to be easier.
Cloud connect Report generator MAQL needs to be easier Better row-level security for end-users I've used it for nine months, mainly for implementation and delivery to customers. No issues encountered. No issues encountered. When the source is big and/or the source is Netsuite there are…

Great collaboration with intuitive interface and dynamic visualization capabilities
As we are exploring multiple features in Sigma, I think Sigma can add more functionality. As Power BI gives multiple modeling options in its interface with the query editor, those features can be added in Sigma for intuitiveness or for making the data very clean. From the dashboarding perspective, it performs well. However, from the modeling perspective, it requires more capabilities that can be added in Sigma. The main improvement needed is in data modeling capabilities. If they add those features in the near future, it would be very helpful for us to implement the same or do the data cleansing part in the Sigma tool itself.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"It's a good product for your end to end BI needs when its all on the cloud."
"Having those dashboards set up in Sigma has made things easier for me and my team because it's just going into one report."
"Sigma is valuable because you can do pretty much anything you need to do within Sigma."
"Sigma is a great software for non-technical business users. If someone's familiar with pivot tables or Excel or Google Sheets, they should be able to pick up Sigma pretty quickly. There is a very low bar for onboarding."
"The most valuable feature of Sigma is the detailed reports."
"Our finance team now runs entirely off of Sigma Computing for their monthly financial reporting."
"Sigma has excellent features, such as lookup tables where you can easily bring data that are not interrelated or at different granularity."
"The most valuable feature of Sigma is the detailed reports."
"I find the collaborative features, such as commenting, to be very valuable."

Cons

"When the source is big and/or the source is Netsuite there are issues."
"Either we are not using it properly, or the software is too complicated. It would be great if there was a way for me to create reports without relying on a data analyst."
"I would like to see better visualization options. That would allow me to build out more visually pleasing dashboarding in Sigma."
"Sigma could have better reports."
"The product's roadmap regarding introducing new features in the solution or new versions of the tool can be made better in the future."
"I think Sigma's dashboarding has room for improvement."
"It felt like it was a little bit limited in ability because there were very specific functions and specific mathematical computations that Sigma allows you to do, and if you want to do something outside of that, it did not seem like it was possible."
"Sigma could have better reports."
"Sigma can be improved in terms of speed; it would be great if it could process the data even faster."
