Has enabled secure, centralized file sharing while saving significant time and resources
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure. First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%. It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"GoAnywhere MFT is easier and more stable than IBM Sterling, and it is also more enterprise-friendly."
"I have seen a lot of return on investment because the built-in automations make the workflow fast and reduce our time significantly, allowing us to focus on other administrative roles rather than routine tasks."
"GoAnywhere MFT meets all these needs, which is why we decided to use it."
"I have not seen any lagging, crashing, downtime, or any sort of instability with GoAnywhere MFT."
"GoAnywhere makes it easy to move files around. We have quite a bit of information we have to transfer to around 300 different companies that require us to send data on a regular basis. If we did this manually, it would require several employees."
"It has all the things needed to build robust projects, giving you different resources, SFTP, and all the different things you might need to manipulate files."
"The SFTP and encryption functionality works well, and SFTP is the bulk of what we use."
"Whenever a customer has to create a case, they create a case directly through our support portal."
"The stability of Thru is very good."

Cons

"The cloud connectivity of GoAnywhere MFT to connect to different applications such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon, or Google Cloud could improve, as it's a little bit patchy right now."
"One of the main important improvements I need for GoAnywhere MFT is a better real-time monitoring dashboard and an improved user interface."
"Sometimes we use GoFast in GoAnywhere MFT because there are many failures or server issues."
"Without knowledge, it can be challenging to manage as it uses XML files for configurations and has tricky variables. While it's not particularly intuitive for new users, it becomes easy once mastered."
"While there is not a lot for improvement, the UI interface could use a modern touch to avoid its outdated appearance for faster navigation in the console."
"There's one persnickety issue about NAS permissions. That is a problem we have run into with GoAnywhere. I would like to see more focus on compatibility with/enforcement of user roles and access permissions across NAS, among other things. We have filed a couple of tickets on that in the past."
"The interface could be more customizable."
"In terms of scalability, I would rate it around five, as it needs further scaling. The interface built should be more stable, as performance varies across different browsers and deployed versions."
"The initial setup of Thru needed an engineer to be involved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"To have a solution like this for the price we're paying makes it cheap. Considering the time that it has saved us, and considering the development that we don't need to do, such as connectors and handling servers, the price is really affordable."
"Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT is an inexpensive solution."
"I find it to be very fair. It is very good."
"The pricing of GoAnywhere MFT is affordable compared to other similar products. It's not expensive, according to me. What influenced my purchase decision was the fact that the product was quite affordable."
"The pricing is decent for mid-sized and small-sized companies. It is good for startups or mid-scale companies."
"It is very attractive. In terms of the capacity of the product and functionality, it is a good price."
"The cost was definitely within reason and it has definitely been worth the cost, based on how much we can automate. It has exceeded my expectations."
"The product's pricing is reasonable."
"Overall, the price of the solution is good for what it does, but when you want to add some features it can get expensive."
