We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The scalability of the solution depends on the sizing of the network. Generally, the scalability is quite good.""F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager is a stable and reliable solution.""NetFlow balancing and traffic balancing are good features.""The iRule feature is very useful for inspecting HTTP. Sometimes, we use it for modifying the headers of the HTTP.""One of the greatest things about F5 Load Balancer is that it provides additional capability for handling huge workloads and routing them to an SAP or non-SAP application. It is capable of supporting a large amount of user workload and application connectivity workload. This was the main reason why we chose F5.""It is a stable product from a stable company. Recently, they have been more focused on security as well.""I think F5's tech support may be better than Citrix's because they mainly focus on the ADC product, but Citrix support covers Hypervisor, XenMobile, FAS, and ADC. And from my experience, sometimes, we face some issues that Citrix cannot handle.""I've worked a little bit with iRules and it is amazing."

"I like the web filtering capabilities.""What I find most valuable in Zscaler Private Access is that it's a VPN. Its connectivity as a VPN is its most valuable feature.""The most valuable feature of Zscaler Private Access is we do not have to connect to a VPN, it is seamless. It is more convenient for us because we use one agent to cover the internet and VPN access.""It is straightforward to set up.""The VPN is great for the stability on offer and for the cloud updates and insights you can get."

Cons
"Right now, there are a lot of products within F5's portfolio. They acquired a couple of companies like NGINX and Volterra. Some features and technologies overlapped when this acquisition occurred. They need to refine it and come up with a single, proper solution. F5 should focus more on zero trust network access (ZTNA).They should be more focused on that framework because the industry is moving towards that. Everyone is talking about SASE and zero trust.""A more intuitive interface would be helpful.""F5 could improve the rule-setting capabilities in the GUI, and they need to simplify web management. For example, the menus in the Citrix GUI are easier to navigate, with a clean structure and layout.""An expensive solution for the minimal features we use.""A more hybrid approach would be beneficial for users.""It requires a particular skill or training before being able to manage it.""The deployment could be simplified.""The initial setup can take a long time."

"Sometimes applications crash on some machines, and we’d like Zscaler to give us some information as to why that may have happened. We’d like more detailed reports.""We would like to extend the SASE applications for Zscaler.""Zscaler Private Access could improve by improving external access. If external parties want to access locally to my company's services, we need to onboard them into our domain, otherwise, it doesn't work. Additionally, if their company also has Zscaler Private Access, then it doesn't work. They need to log in with our domain ID, not their company ID.""What could be improved in Zscaler Private Access is its notification. For example, if there's a speed issue, there should be a pop-up that alerts the user about it. If there is a network quality issue, for example, it isn't good enough to connect to, or the network quality is bad, there should be a notification from the solution. Zscaler Private Access also needs improvement in terms of its interface and security.""I can't speak to any missing features."
