We performed a comparison between ESET Endpoint Security and SentinelOne based on our users’ reviews in five categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: Both solutions received very positive reviews from users. SentinelOne wins out because of users’ reports of high ROI and advanced customer support.
"Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration."
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"This is stable and scalable."
"The stability is very good."
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"It is stable and scalable."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"This solution blocks the brand new malware threats."
"I like everything about ESET Endpoint Security, and as an installer, it's very easy to install the solution, but the most important feature is that it helps defend against any virus. When the virus comes, ESET Endpoint Security stops it."
"In terms of the current global landscape, it is a great solution."
"The most valuable feature of ESET Endpoint Security is the antivirus for the endpoints."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the ease of use."
"A feature we like is setting the GUI of ESET Endpoint Security/ESET File Security to silent mode because some servers and clients can have performance issues."
"The product does not slow down the machine."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the protection itself, which works well for us."
"SentinelOne Singularity Complete, together with SentinelOne Vigilance, is an EDR tool with capabilities such as these, which I found valuable: the dashboard that shows you all the information and the power to either manually or automatically quarantine issues or threats in the environment."
"The reporting part is awesome."
"SentinelOne’s Rollback is its best feature."
"The XDR capability is quite good."
"It gives you good visibility of any threats or vulnerabilities that you might have on your network."
"The best thing SentinelOne has done for us is that it gives us insight into the endpoints. We never had insight into lateral movement threats before. Once a threat known as Qbot gets on the network, it actually spreads throughout sub-networks quickly. SentinelOne has detected that and saved our bacon. We were able to get in there and stop the threat, lock it down, and prevent it from actually spreading through. It would have been 50 or 60 computers. It had spread through in a few minutes. We have a lot of HIPAA data and FERPA data that we need to keep protected."
"The customer support for this solution is good."
"What I like best about SentinelOne Singularity Complete is its web-based admin interface, which allows me to go into the platform, look at the entire organization, particularly all of the sentinels or endpoints, and manage everything from there."
"The support needs improvement."
"The solution is not stable."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors."
"I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud."
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"It can be hard to set up if you need to customize it."
"I'm not aware of any areas that need improvement."
"There are other features you can add on to help make the security stronger, however, they should offer better security even on a basic level."
"The solution lacks the automation I need."
"The solution could improve by having higher-level security and reporting."
"I'm unsure as to if they could actually support a large enterprise."
"The problem was that it didn't support Windows 7."
"I suspect there will be some changes required to ESET because some experts I know just moved to MDR. I can imagine there might be some issues that were not fully covered by the ESET Endpoint that would be covered by MDR that we're on now."
"SentinelOne should include Ranger Pro out of the box with Singularity Complete."
"They can improve the administrative interface. They can make it more user-friendly."
"One of the things they could do is extend the product range to include Android and iPhone so that you could have the app on your phone as well. There is probably something going on there with that, but that's something that they're lacking at the moment. For instance, if I was to have to recommend a client to protect their phone, I'd have to recommend Norton or something else. I don't have an answer within the SentinelOne solution."
"The mobile agents need improvement, especially in their integration with the dashboard of the normal Windows Image-based agents."
"The false positive rate has room for improvement."
"There is not much flexibility in terms of policy fine-tuning. We can turn it off or turn it on, but, there's nothing much else to do. Everything is predefined. It's good in a way, but you don't get much flexibility if you want to do something particular."
"SentinelOne's performance and the accuracy of its incident filtering could be improved."
"SentinelOne's customer service has room for improvement."
