Cloud-based protection has simplified daily client support and keeps threats under control
The problems that we are facing with policy adoption include slow adoption, as it takes more than five minutes to adopt policy on client computers. ESET Network Attack Protection sometimes helps in reducing network-level intrusions, but sometimes it prevents local devices on the network, which are well-known and good devices, from being recognized, treating them as a threat. So it requires more administration than usual. ESET could implement a good solution for remote support in ESET Endpoint Protection Platform for improvement in the future. Since you have the cloud console, ESET could have something similar to AnyDesk or TeamViewer, but from ESET.

Efficiently blocks unwanted websites from laptops but also blocks information from the websites
One problem I'm facing with K7 is that if it blacklists a website that I need, I have to ask my admin guy to unblock it. When we whitelist it, I have to manually update my policies on my laptop for the change to take effect. I want it to reflect automatically when something is done from the admin side. I shouldn't have to update K7 case and policy settings manually.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Overall, I like this product and I am satisfied with what it does."
"I find the main valuable feature to be the antivirus, it is very effective with removing viruses."
"The application runs in the background without a noticeable impact on my laptop."
"The solution provides good accessibility and is not heavy on resources when there are updates or when it is in operation."
"ESET Endpoint Security’s most valuable feature is the management console."
"It is absolutely invisible once running."
"We do not have a domain structure yet but we can manage our client stations via this solution's managing interface, which means that we don't need to have any extra management platforms."
"For organizations with budget constraints that need a reliable solution, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform is an excellent choice."
"It has its own model to decide whether a website is trusted or not."

Cons

"It seems to have some issues with updates. When you do updates, it sometimes requests for a reboot, and even when you do the reboot, it still says that you need to reboot. Currently, on my computer, it says that a new ESET Endpoint Antivirus has been installed, and I need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect, but I've already done that, and the same message is still there, which is a little annoying. It should have a feature similar to the Intercept X feature in Sophos."
"The solution’s console management and scalability should be improved."
"If I were in an environment that required a large-scale deployment then I would choose another solution over ESET."
"The interface is too complicated, our clients contact us because they are not able to do some tasks such as updating."
"ESET's updates are mostly manual. That's my biggest concern."
"Data Leak Protection is is what we are searching for at the moment. It is not included with ESET."
"I am a MAC user and my asset cybersecurity is continuously displaying warnings that I am not using their firewall."
"The solution could have a more user-friendly interface."
"But blocking websites also means blocking information."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price could be lower, but it's comparable, as other solutions have a similar price for the same effect."
"I think it's available for a pretty fair price. If you know how to use it, then it's a very fair price for what you get."
"You need to pay for the ESET Endpoint Antivirus license monthly or yearly, whichever you choose."
"This is not an expensive product."
"The price of ESET Endpoint Antivirus could be lower. From a customer's perspective, it is expensive."
"Pricing for ESET Endpoint Security could be lower because here in Hungary, it's expensive."
"It's a cost-effective product"
"I rate the product’s pricing a three out of ten. It is neither cheap nor expensive for our clients."
