Work from anywhere and backup easily while being practical
I recommend Dropbox, yet not for all of the features it has. I am a basic user. In a personal mode, we have about 100 employees, and maybe 20 of them use Dropbox as a personal backup system. ShareFile is more secure than Dropbox. Five years ago, ShareFile was qualified as having better security control, access privilege management, and version control recovery, among many features that we were using for private documentation. Overall, I would rate Dropbox an eight out of ten.

A great solution for uploading files with good protection and security features
We use this solution to upload our files according to our activities for the project. All the files we create are uploaded or saved on Egnyte Connect to protect and securitize them Egnyte Connect is a great application to save files. All files are secure and available. If we are connected, we can…

Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I use the product to open files."
"The various methods for accessing files, such as through mobile apps, online synchronization, and on a PC, are highly valuable."
"It is very practical and so easy to upload and download files and carry on without my computer."
"I had a good experiment with the technical support from Dropbox."
"Dropbox is reliable, and I've never reached the storage limits."
"The features that I find most valuable are the ability to sync across devices, easily access/share files and organize them among myself and my team."
"The primary standout feature for me is the effortless synchronization across various devices."
"A valuable feature is that it stores my files and photos. I'm satisfied with this product."
"It is scalable and stable."
"From a small firm perspective, Egnyte Connect is simple, it is easy to get users up and running the same day, and I have nothing negative to say about the software. I can't speak to how Egnyte Connect would operate in a midsize company or even a large Fortune 500 company, but, from our perspective as a small business, it is fantastic."
"It is a good storage solution."
"You can really do a lot of cool things with it in terms of being able to co-author and share documents with users that are not in your organization."
"It provides a way to granularly choose which folders from the internet you want to sync to your computer. It is really useful for people who are working on teams that are working with files that are frequently changing. You can go in and pretty clearly see what changes have been made. It gives you a constant feed."
"It's easy to move files around, even to, for example, SharePoint."
"Egnyte Connect is a great application to save files."
"The stability of Google Drive Enterprise is good."
"The initial setup of Google Drive Enterprise was simple."
"Google Drive is always up when I need it, so I don't have any complaints."
"With Google Drive Enterprise, multiple people can edit a document, and you can open it as Google Docs."
"The integration with Gmail, Calendar, and Google Meet is the most valuable."
"Even if you lose your laptop or device, your data will still be accessible on Google Drive Enterprise. Therefore, keeping your files on the tool is a safe option. You can access it from any device if you have a Gmail account. When you create a Gmail account, you automatically get access to free Google resources, including 15 GB of Google Drive Enterprise storage, which is shared across all Google products."
"The solution is very user-friendly."
"It's a stable product."

Cons

"The Security and privacy of this solution need improvement."
"It could be more secure."
"The product could always offer more storage."
"The solution could be better integrated with other platforms."
"The solution could be more scalable."
"The product's high price is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"I would like to be able to unarchive my files online."
"The tool must be better protected."
"Before, when we were starting to use Egnyte, we were struggling with a lot of bugs with Egnyte desktop sync."
"If this solution had a better ability to search, that would be helpful. In addition, if there was an ability to collaborate, that would also be a benefit. At present, the vision control is had because if someone gets out of it, it locks. And, whoever saves last overrides everyone's work."
"You cannot delete a file when you have uploaded it in error."
"As of right now, I have everything that I and my team need."
"The issue of my authorization token expiring pretty quickly was pretty annoying. On pretty much every update, it would expire on every computer. On every computer update, at the first opportunity, it would expire. When my computer got updated or the authorization got cut, my saved drives would get messed up. So, I had to reconnect them all. I was never able to set up a useful drive system with my local computer with Egnyte Connect. It would be a big improvement if there was a cached system so that when it loses connection, it can still save what kind of connections were set up, and when it reconnects, it repopulates all those. I don't know if that's even possible, but that's the feature I'd want."
"It would be nice to see an integration of using an active directory to validate and authenticate users on our end as well as on the client user's end."
"The price could be better. Google should rethink and realign its pricing strategy along with the storage prices because storage prices are going down for on-premise solutions. If they can reduce the cost or increase the storage capacity for that same tier, that would be a great advantage."
"Improvements could include better editing features within a Word document, similar to the characteristics of on-premises versions, such as more formatting functions. Another improvement could be file transfer from the browser to the desktop, making it as simple as drag and drop."
"The solution is kind of expensive."
"In the free version, managing the files and folders and data is a little difficult."
"I am not sure what will happen if you forget to renew your license."
"The product’s document management and automation features are very limited."
"The feature for synchronization of data from multiple systems with the same single ID is not happening in Google Drive. This feature should be added. For example, if I have only one single mail ID and I'm using it in a different location to upload different data, this is the challenge. It is happening from one system or one server. The synchronization of data from the local system to Google Drive will not happen if the IDs are the same. If I'm using it for different systems in different locations, synchronization is not happening. The system hets logged out. This feature is very important for us and they need to add it."
"Security is the only area where there are certain shortcomings in the product where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is free up to a certain limit."
"We are using the unlicensed free version of Dropbox."
"We pay a monthly subscription fee."
"The solution does not come with a licensing cost."
"You pay as you go, which is a good thing. There is a monthly fee, and you can also pay annually. This flexibility makes the subscription easier and affordable for some of us. I prefer yearly pricing, which is also slightly cheaper than monthly pricing."
"I am on a monthly subscription for the solution and I am somewhat satisfied with the pricing. However, the price could a bit better."
"The pricing for non-corporations is expensive. They have raised their prices and have low storage capacity."
"The solution is expensive."
"As far as I understand, licenses are associated with the Egnyte platform. There aren't any licenses associated with Egnyte Connect."
"I do not have experience with the pricing of this solution."
"The licensing is yearly. We pay for the high-tier subscription."
"I have evaluated Amazon AWS and IBM solutions. Amazon AWS has competitive prices for cloud storage and backups."
"The product is available for free, so I don't need to pay for it."
"Google is much cheaper than Microsoft."
"We pay a monthly licensing fee for the solution."
"The price of Google Drive Enterprise is affordable and is one of its best features. I am on a monthly subscription."
"Google Drive's price is lower than competitors. I have two accounts, including one with Apple that I use to manage some pictures and contact. I use Apple Cloud for only this purpose. I use Google Drive for everything else. Compared to Google, the price of Dropbox is high and the solution isn't good."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
