Visual workflows have accelerated our agent POC while better UI and observability still need work
My personal experience with Dify's UI is that it is not my favorite, as it can be improved a little bit, and sometimes the UI feels a little bit buggy. I am not sure if that is because it was a self-hosted version. The documentation can also be improved a little bit more. I think not a lot of people are using Dify currently, so that is why the documentation is not very great. If the documentation was improved, that would also be a really good thing. Currently, Dify could improve by offering better observability like other platforms. We currently use OpenAI Agents SDK, which requires you to build everything by code, but the observability is really good. It has OpenAI Traces, and you can basically trace everything for a conversation. If Dify had that kind of tracing functionality, that would be great.

Creating low-code agents has transformed policy queries and now saves employees hours daily
What I would like to see is an ease by which I can have different connectors set up. Right now I have to do a lot of back and forth in order to have these connectors enabled. Having them by default on the platform would be very helpful for me. Also, when developing custom actions, having a developer portal where users can track the log of how the requests are being sent to custom endpoints created would be helpful because right now I do not have anything of that nature. It is just a final response that I get and it becomes very difficult to keep track of what is happening in the backend. Also, the latency that the platform offers is a little high right now. What I have noticed is that on a particular query, the user has to wait a long time in order to get responses. If there is a way to reduce this time and improve performance by decreasing the time for responses, that would be very good. I believe that the latency offered is a little high right now. If I can get prompt responses quickly, then that would be a real user experience enhancement. Also, what I have noticed is the problem that developers face when creating custom actions in Glean Platform, where we are not able to keep track of what is happening in the backend. A logger of sorts would be very good so that I can maintain an idea of what is happening in the backend. If that issue is resolved, along with also the issue of having custom connectors available from the start rather than going to Glean Platform and having conversations about the thing, then it would be very good. If these issues are resolved, then it would be a strong 10 out of 10 from me. But as of now, it will be an 8 out of 10. Glean Platform is a very capable platform. It is good for indexing documents and reducing manual workflows by incorporating an element of AI in it. Business usage can be increased as well. The one caveat is if there are developers who are creating actions on Glean Platform, then I must keep an eye on the logging that I have for the platform because interacting with the backend systems becomes very difficult using Glean Platform. Also, what I have noticed is that it is a real challenge in terms of latency as some of the responses may take a little while to load. However, what I have noticed is that the responses are usually very accurate, and so it is a trade-off between speed and accuracy. This is what I would advise to someone who is looking at Glean Platform.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Considering the pricing, I would rate Dify a seven on a scale from one to ten, but for usability, use case, and feasibility, I would give it a ten, as it surpasses both Zapier and N8N."
"With the AI-powered data analysis we built, we achieve cost savings since we do not need to hire a person specialized in data analysis."
"Using Dify has positively impacted our organization because we were able to cut down on some development time and do a lot of testing in a very small time period."
"Since I have used Dify personally, I have noticed ways it has made my workflow and research easier, saving me time and helping me find answers more quickly."
"What makes Dify useful is that I can visualize the AI behavior during the design process, rather than sticking on the static screen or the code or random prompt specification, and I think that's the most value it provides."
"Dify has positively impacted the organization because accuracy has been improved, and the time and complexity in flows that were manual are now automated, from HR automation to ERP level transactions, including subscription management in the SaaS application, monitoring, and analytics."
"In my opinion, the best features Dify offers are that it is very easy to connect things, the GUI is good, and the connectors are sensible."
"I have been using Dify as a powerful tool for AI automation for more than 1.5 years, and I appreciate its model-agnostic approach that allows easily swapping AI models like OpenAI and Anthropic."
"Life became so easy when we started using Glean Platform."
"Glean Platform has increased productivity by at least one hundred hours per week for my organization."
"Glean Platform offers excellent user interface design and integration capabilities with other platforms."
"When I searched for internal information spread across different systems, Glean Platform did centralize and retrieve that data for me effectively, giving me eighty percent accuracy."
"Glean Platform has positively impacted our organization, especially in terms of productivity for both us and our customers."
"Glean Platform has positively impacted my organization by speeding up a lot of repetitive tasks and making it easier for people outside of support to understand what kind of issues impact the support groups."
"The major impact that I have noticed is how business users are now being impacted and they are using the platform because they understand it easily."
"The best features Glean Platform offers are mostly the view, which I think is very good, and what I find most helpful about the view is that the user interface is very good, making it very easy to chat with the chatbot and get all the material that I want in the way that I need it."

Cons

"Dify does not appear to handle larger workloads well regarding its scalability."
"Dify is missing a few features which could be improved by polishing the website and creating a more attractive experience with motion graphics."
"One of the main concerns that we had is that it might not be very scalable because we are hosting it in a self-hosted environment, and we have to configure the architecture and everything."
"I choose eight out of ten for Dify because there's always a way to improve it, but I feel that for the advanced features, it's still hard for hands-on use."
"I think Dify can be improved as the login process was definitely a bit difficult on the open-source version."
"Dify can be improved by adding features such as an end loop or exit loop capability, similar to options available in N8N and Zapier, to make workflow completion easier without needing to select additional outputs and understand complex steps, which can be time-consuming."
"The only improvement would be if Dify provided an SMTP server that could be connected to automate Dify workflow management, as that would be a great option."
"Glean Platform can implement more models. The NLP creation could be a little faster, and while debugging is amazing, the routing also needs to provide higher quality outputs sometimes rather than extensive searching."
"I chose seven out of ten because if I could upload PDFs and have them analyzed, or have it integrate with my Gmail and help me go through my emails, that would be very useful, but I do not think it does that."
"Also, the latency that the platform offers is a little high right now; what I have noticed is that on a particular query, the user has to wait a long time in order to get responses."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the licenses were expensive, and it was hard to convince the company to adopt based on that."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Glean Platform reveals limited options, and I wish there was more customization available."
"Currently, Glean Platform does not integrate with Teams, Microsoft-owned platforms."
"I tried pulling in an architecture diagram of a workflow, and it pulled in some other image instead."
"Sometimes Glean Platform gets slowed down."
