Room For Improvement

Dell PowerProtect DD requires improved processing, security, ease of use, integration, and competitive pricing to meet user demands.
Users seek improved deduplication, integration, interface, setup, support, storage, performance, pricing, and cloud features in HPE StoreOnce.
Veeam Data Platform needs better support, automation, plugin enhancements, lower pricing, and improved scalability, security, and technology integration.
The high availability feature is only present in the higher models of Dell PowerProtect DD (Data Domain).
It is suitable for more customers since it is small, cost-effective, and a good start for any customer to know about Data Domain and DBS solutions.
Medium-level and SME-level businesses can easily utilize this feature, but Dell PowerProtect DD (Data Domain) is a relatively expensive solution to propose to customers.
It is well-positioned on the radar, with a mature and stable solution.
The benefits of StoreOnce, which we discussed, include its compression capabilities with a ratio of 1 to 10.
While the solution does everything expected, it would be beneficial if AI could be integrated for optimization and monitoring.
The improvement we would like to see is the option to scale Veeam Data up in smaller sections rather than large sections, which requires paying much more.
Reducing it by 20% would make it more accessible to a broader range of customers.
OpenStack is something Veeam Data Platform doesn't support, and they haven't indicated that they will support it in the future.

Setup Cost

Dell PowerProtect DD is costly but valued for deduplication and support, despite competition from Veritas and Commvault.
HPE StoreOnce setup is costly initially, but offers competitive, feature-rich pricing with capacity-based licensing and bundled support.
Veeam Data Platform offers cost-effective, flexible licensing with minimal setup costs, making it attractive to enterprise buyers.
The pricing has become higher since July, and the license costs are more expensive compared to the past.
The price for PowerProtect DD is not suitable for my customers. It is very high.
The backup solution cost is higher than the actual solution.
The solution is quite expensive, possibly rated around seven and a half on a scale of one to ten.
I don't consider the price expensive given its importance.
A reduction of 20% in the current cost would make the solution more attractive to clients.
Veeam Data Platform is more expensive than OpenStack because we pay for it in US dollars, while we pay for OpenStack in Egyptian pounds.

Offers efficient data management with robust features and reliable performance
Dell PowerProtect DD (Data Domain) can be improved in terms of price. While Dell is providing a proper device, other solutions, such as Symantec, can replicate their data through any NAS storage. Although their deduplication and compression might not be as effective, they can still accomplish the task. Medium-level and SME-level businesses can easily utilize this feature, but Dell PowerProtect DD (Data Domain) is a relatively expensive solution to propose to customers.
