In the enterprise market for disk encryption Credant is worth looking at.
Flexibility of file encryption without the support burden of Full Disk Encryption (FDE) We have a much greater confidence that our data is protected on our portable resources. 5 years + Customer Service: The support engineers are a very smart, capable group. Many have been working with us for…

Security monitoring has improved and protects mission-level mac segments for critical users
Currently, I am not using this because it is mandated on Office 365, which we are not currently maintaining. We are just using the manage feature, so it is not something we control. We are using Cisco SecureClient for VPN. Symantec Endpoint Encryption is only used at the MAC level segment for the B Mission levels for security purposes, and it is only from the ten user perspective. It is straightforward and not complex. I would rate the complexity as a seven, but I would rate the product itself as a nine. We have approximately fifty thousand in budget. Better security methods are valuable features that we can suggest, as everything is under liability. My overall review rating for this solution is nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We have a much greater confidence that our data is protected on our portable resources."
"We use it for protecting accounts, which is its most valuable feature."
"Antivirus, URL filtering, and firewall protection are the most effective features for data protection."
"In general terms, it is working properly and according to our expectations, and the comfort of feeling secure is the most valuable."
"It has reduced the number of incidents related to the loss of information."
"Its management is good, and it is also scalable and mostly stable."
"The solution is pretty stable."
"I like the solution for its encryption."
"One notable aspect is the ability to customize alerts and other settings."

Cons

"The SDE encryption which is their "almost FDE" solution can require some tweaking if you have a highly customized desktop with several non-default folders."
"The solution does not have endpoint control."
"We had approximately 600 users but we migrated to a different solution because of some issues. I can't recommend this product."
"There are other solutions in the market that have new features. The feature could improve."
"The program's disk encryption is not very friendly with Microsoft OS updates. We have a problem with updates failing unless we use a time-consuming work-around."
"The instability of the company and lack of presence in the Middle East is affecting product use."
"I would like to have less frequent updates."
"Currently, the on-premises version is tricky and difficult."
"The agent can be improved on the solution. Right now, we have an Endpoint Protection agent as well as an encryption agent and another for the DLVs and other services. We would prefer a single agent for the entire product."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It can be expensive. However, if you plan to scale or are at a large enterprise company, this product could be what you need."
"The license is not very expensive."
"The pricing is fair but there is variability in our area that needs to be addressed."
"They have two solutions for encryption including Symantec Endpoint Encryption and PGP Endpoint Encryption. With one PGP license, you can deploy the two solutions. The PGP license gives you two options."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"The licensing costs yearly are $5000."
"Although the performance and stability of this solution are good, our challenge is the price tag. You buy the solution once, but you also have to keep on buying the licenses yearly."
"The solution is good, but it is more expensive than other solutions in the market. Other solutions, such as BitLocker are less expensive."
