Unified vulnerability data has reduced risk and currently cuts duplicate tools and license costs
Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time. I had to do some of that manually via manual reports, but Seemplicity already has a feature request for this. Seemplicity has done a pretty good job of keeping up with integrations. One gap that I identified and that Seemplicity is trying to fill now is having a complete end-to-end mapping. Seemplicity currently looks at the external attack surface using tools like Censys, and then looks at the internal side, examining what is in AWS and other clouds using CSPM. However, there is not anything that currently ties a property on the outside to a system on the inside, especially when you have additional security layers like web application firewalls that actually mitigate the risk.

Experience seamless integration and effective dashboard while considering improved EDR configuration support
The way Cymulate works for EDR could be improved, as it drops payload and requires action from the EDR console for remediation, which can block the whole process of Cymulate execution. They should create some KB articles for the granular exclusion from different platforms and improve their technical assistance support.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The biggest impact Seemplicity has had on my organization is turning what used to be a fragmented, manual process into something structured and accountable."
"I think of Seemplicity as a fantastic company and a fantastic partner to work with."
"Seemplicity is helping us generate immense ROI in terms of helping secure our infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and understanding vulnerabilities that we really did not have a good process of understanding before."
"When we started with Seemplicity, we saw an 85% reduction in the number of tickets through deduplication, and that is significant for our teams who are swamped with issues."
"Seemplicity has helped us see a return on investment by reducing the need for an L1 analyst for AppSec findings through its categorization, deduplication, and automatic remediation assignments, which has significantly decreased the headcount required for initial analysis."
"Seemplicity is doing amazing work, and organizations were able to better meet their SLAs, better communicate to their leadership and executive level about the overall risk and exposure levels, and overall have a better understanding of what they are dealing with."
"I was also able to pay for the tool twice over by using it for tool rationalization."
"Seemplicity has positively impacted my organization by helping reduce the overhead for our SecOps team to manually create vulnerability tickets."
"The most valuable feature for us is the zero-day."
"With Cymulate, the best features are the capacity to test the EDR or malware, anti-malware solution."
"Cymulate has positively impacted our organization by helping us to take care of the efficacy and reviewing the policies and configuration."
"The security validation feature helps my organization in assessing our security posture."
"Cymulate is easy to set up, install, and configure."
"The reporting capabilities are very good."
"Overall, I am very happy with the way the product is working."
"The Vulnerability and Risk Management feature is valuable to us for keeping the security posture up-to-date and conducting regular continuous audits."
"The most valuable feature of the product to me is being able to ask what-if questions about traffic flows, which is a great ability to have for security and incident response."
"The most valuable features are network mapping and configuration."
"This solution is amazing! The most important part is the way it gives access information to the entire infrastructure, the network most importantly."
"RedSeal integrates the network and gives us a visual or graphical overview of our network. If an organization is geographically dispersed, for instance, with one office in Canada and one office in the Philippines, the whole network, including all devices, is integrated into RedSeal, and you can see from where the traffic is going in and out."
"This is the only solution in the world that gives you a digital resilience score."
"RedSeal has different modules, such as the Analyzer module, which can be leveraged."

Cons

"As the account is growing, some of the dashboards are slowing down, so optimizing that could be one area for improvement."
"Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time."
"The capability out of the box today is decent, but over time, if we can allow users and organizations to build their own view and how they want to report on things, that would be a great value add."
"Every tool, including Seemplicity, can improve, and I think it needs to further enhance its deduplication capabilities and understand how to integrate with more security tools, especially as new AI security tools emerge."
"Seemplicity could use more improvement around the user interface."
"Seemplicity could be improved with some of the aggregation accessibility. Currently, it is a bit of a black box and can be a bit of a bottleneck."
"For Seemplicity, I would say two things for improvement. First, reporting customization could go further because this industry is evolving; the CEO tries to get much information that they are looking for."
"The product must provide consultancy for initial setup."
"I will be honest, we have it, but in the last year, I didn't maintain the system until a month ago."
"We have had some trouble with the agents."
"The reporting process requires significant improvement as it often takes longer than expected and the quality is lacking."
"The way Cymulate works for EDR could be improved, as it drops payload and requires action from the EDR console for remediation, which can block the whole process of Cymulate execution."
"The cost can be quite high, and it impacts scalability as more simulations require additional expenses."
"There is room for improvement in integrating the OT security part and the private 5G security part in RedSeal."
"Integration with other security tools. Have the ability to create custom reports: Currently, within RedSeal you only have the option to run the canned reports."
"One of the areas of concern is the GUI. It is important to our customers that the GUI looks beautiful. It's a Java Client, so you have a Java dependency."
"There is room for improvement regarding customization and automation of reports."
"The network mapping/visualization could be improved significantly."
"Sometimes, it required us to refresh the configuration. When we integrated any of the configurations into the device, sometimes, it could not detect the exact picture of that device. So, we had to reset the device to see that if it was giving true-positive results or false-positive results. In some cases, we were not able to get true-positive results. There was some kind of bug in that version. Its interface is not user-friendly and needs to be improved. It takes time to understand the interface and various options. Skybox has quite a user-friendly interface. They could provide a feature for compliance audit policy if it is already not there. A compliance audit policy ensures that all configurations are based on the best practices standards, such as CIS benchmarks standard or other similar standards. It provides visibility about whether your device configuration is based on best practices or not. Usually, such a feature is provided by other solutions such as Meteor or Tenable Nessus."
"Its interface is not user-friendly and needs to be improved."
"The dashboard should be improved to make correlating data easier to do."
