Continuous learning has boosted our certifications and project-ready skills across teams
Coursera for Business is an enterprise learning platform that helps organizations upskill and reskill employees through online courses, professional certificates, hands-on labs, and learning paths from leading universities and companies. It offers access to over 10,000 courses and content from providers such as Google, IBM, Microsoft, and top universities. The key features include the large catalog of business, technology, data science, AI, cloud, and leadership courses, professional certificates, and industry-recognized credentials. I personally find it good for learning certifications as a professional, and it leverages my skills for career growth. It has custom learning paths for employees, hands-on labs, guided projects, and integrates with SSO and enterprise learning systems, and mobile learning support. The benefits for businesses are that it accelerates employee upskilling and reskilling. It helps organizations build AI, core, cloud, cybersecurity, and data skills. It enables learning at scale across global teams. It offers flexible, self-paced learning, high-quality content from leading universities and companies, strong analytics and reporting, and recognized certifications. Coursera for Business positively impacts my organization by improving productivity and employee satisfaction. If an employee does not know a technology, they can easily leverage Coursera for Business, learn that technology, and contribute to the project.

Its pricing is competitive, but the auto-assign feature that is most valuable for us hasn't been working for the last year and a half
We have a complex implementation because we have an outsourced population of over 50% of our user base. So, we have a lot of challenges. We have no HCM for user data. We have to create our own custom metadata to manage everything, and there are lots of logistical challenges in terms of implementation. If you have to go through and create a custom metadata system, as we did, and stand up all these other systems, it would take three to six months. If you have a human capital management system that's ready to go and you have all your data in the right segments and whatnot, it could be done in one to three months. In terms of maintenance, we recently re-scoped this to where we have one person that oversees the LMS as a whole, and then we have two administrators that carry out the tactical task, such as auto enrollments, user creations, and all other audit components. We also have a rotational employee that does audits on the LMS to make sure everything is working correctly.

"Coursera for Business has positively impacted our organization by helping us to be more competitive in the AI space, especially in the healthcare space and health tech, improving our processes, refining our features, products, chatbot, text-to-speech, and other elements, and helping us stay up to speed with the happenings in the AI space."
"Coursera for Business has brought a huge positive impact on our organization, as we use it to retool and give our employees an extra edge, leading to efficient, smooth, and robust customer service delivery that brings in more clients and contributes to the growth of our portfolio and rising revenue base."
"Coursera for Business delivers a strong return on investment by helping organizations upskill and reskill employees efficiently."
"Coursera for Business has positively impacted my organization by helping to fill skills gaps and raising the team's confidence."
"It incorporates the majority of the elements."
"This is a very scalable solution, as we had over 10,000 students in our instance and their billing model makes scaling affordable to do."
"Litmos has an excellent user interface. It's well designed and intuitive. It also has a great content engine. I'm one of the admins, so I create content in the system and use that to produce courses. We make our own training content and credit records. They recently added a new feature called the Course Content Creator, and I'm a big fan. I also like that Litmos lets you record online and face-to-face training so you can create what they call Instructor-led Training Events (ILT)."
"It's very easy to design content and create training models within the app, so you don't always have to use a third-party tool to develop your e-learning."
"From a learning management system admin perspective, it has a user-friendly interface, but the functionality is deep. So, you can automate people in and out of courses. It lowers the general admin of an LMS admin so that I can focus more on value-adding things for the organization I'm working with."
"Its pricing is good, and its performance is good when it works."
"SAP Litmos brings more standardized training to our organizations."
"There is a couple of good features available, you can customize the dashboard, CSA, and home page. You can customize the solution to your business standards. SAP Litmos offers a library of 2,500 plus courses to premium members. They have a good library of pre-built courses. It's a variety of soft skill courses including management, and marketing. You can offer these courses to your students, which is excellent."

Cons

"Coursera for Business can be improved by focusing on deeper LMS integration and automation."
"Coursera for Business usually has some hindrances. The first one is that it is internet-reliant, meaning that to access everything, you must do the learning online and require a stable internet connection."
"Coursera for Business can be improved by addressing issues including long downtimes and problems with OTP delivery when logging in."
"One thing I would like to mention is that with Coursera for Business, hands-on lab experiences could be improved so users can gain more practical experience along with their development and learning phases."
"In terms of improvement, I believe hands-on projects can be more practical."
"I think there is variable quality among courses. Sometimes some courses go into very long depth, but some courses lack the depth that is required for that particular course."
"The pricing is a concern. The premium access for Coursera for Business is quite high, and users or small organizations and SMEs may shy away from using the platform due to that high cost of access to these premium courses."
"However, the lack of an offline option and the sometimes high costs for individual users make some people avoid it, opting for free training on platforms such as YouTube."
"The dashboards for this solution could be improved as they are not of the same standard and detail as those seen in Power BI. The graphics for the reporting could also be improved."
"You cannot make a course optional, so if I assign a course to someone, the system assumes that they have to complete it."
"They can really improve in the reporting area. While doing sessions, there are various types of reports, such as the attendance report or assessment report. We can export the Excel dump of the report, but it is not that neat and clean. You have to change it a lot. You can customize the Excel dump as per your requirement, but it is not that user-friendly in terms of the admin part. They can do much better. They have room for improvement in the reporting area."
"The solution lags in defined security parameters with only three predefined roles available."
"The rules are not very flexible in terms of administration. They have a predefined system with three standard rules that cannot be customized, modified, added, or removed."
"The reporting in Litmos could be improved. It is difficult to pull accurate reporting based on how the solution is set up and parameters are selected."
"First of all, their issue resolution is really bad."
"One feature that a few of my clients have been requesting is CPD. We should be able to capture CPD points for users within the system to be able to report on those."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"When we first purchased our subscription, we underestimated how many people we would have within a billing period. We had to adjust that in the first six months. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they charge a per user rate for a certain number, and you get a discount as the number of users goes up. It scales, which is a fairly reasonable way to build a pricing model."
"It is priced per user license."
"There are three different pricing models. One is only to use the platform and to add your own learning material. The second plan includes the learning management system plus 2000 plus pre built courses on different areas including leadership, software skills, HR and IT related training. The third package allows you to integrate the system with tools such Salesforce or other CRMs."
"The pricing is really good. Its pricing is probably the most competitive I've seen for an LMS. If you need help with doing any type of custom design or customization, such as code design or anything like that with the site, then you have to use their people services, which would be an extra cost."
"The solution is priced per user which can get expensive."
"I don't know what the pricing model is at this point in time. I'm a consultant. The organizations that have purchased Litmos engage me to help them implement it, or Litmos engage me to be their external learning management system administrator. So, I don't see the rates, but based on the general comments that I've heard, it seems cost-effective and competitive with its competitors."
"I do not have any idea about the licensing, but I know that it is quite expensive."
"This solution comes at a high price point. We also paid $4500 for a migration specialist from Litmos to assist in moving our content over. You are billed every month based on the number of users who have logged in and completed training."
