Centralized monitoring has improved real-time issue tracking and reduced root cause analysis time
One of the best features that Coralogix offers is that it is integration friendly. I can seamlessly work with different cloud providers including AWS, Azure, and GCP. I can monitor Kubernetes or Docker platforms as well, and I can integrate with the DevOps chain including Jenkins and all infrastructure code, Terraform, or Ansible. Coralogix has positively impacted my organization by providing a centralized console to monitor the dashboard, giving me rich flexibility to see different sorts of data that is spread across the logs, metrics, or traces, which are the typical pillars of the observability tool. I have the interface where I can use the drag-and-drop feature, and I can create different types of charts. Mainly, I have the line charts and time series ones that I generally use in many use cases, gauges, tables, pie charts, or markdown widgets. These are the ones generically available, and I can switch between the visualization types. I am getting the underlying query in that and can import and export dashboards built upon the JSON format. I can have my own APIs integrated with my dashboards as well, such as with Terraform, which is useful for scaling across my environments. Regarding root cause analysis, mainly what I can do is correlate across all of the layers because the main logs that I work on are storage-related, including CIFS, NFS, SAN traffic, and the metrics including storage, throughput, or VM resource usage. Being able to view logs, metrics, or traces available, I get all of these in one place, and I can do root cause analysis much quicker.

Simplifying log management by displaying detailed access information
The most valuable feature of Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is its ability to simplify and display logs clearly, providing details like which IPs are accessing the system, the destination, and the policies applied. This visualization and detail make managing logs more straightforward. In conjunction with our VMware setup, Fortinet FortiAnalyzer enhances organizational efficiency, meeting the standard log retention period for up to a year.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Coralogix is that it is a very good vendor for metrics."
"It's been absolutely brilliant, I would say."
"Numerous data monitoring tools are available, but Coralogix somehow fine-tunes our policies and effectively supports our teams."
"In my opinion, the best feature of Coralogix is that it's convenient to look at errors."
"In my experience, the best feature Coralogix offers is that the dashboard is pretty good."
"Coralogix has positively impacted our organization by providing us with a clearer data flow, which allows us to analyze data better and find errors easier using the smart logs it offers."
"Support is great; they are helpful and responsive, and they are the greatest support team that I ever worked with, especially in comparison with AWS support’s premium tier where Coralogix is a few times better than even AWS support."
"The solution offers very good convenience filtering."
"The feature I find most valuable is the reporting customization."
"The dashboard of Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is outstanding with very detailed information."
"It has detailed reporting, e.g., user-wise reporting, threat analysis, etc. It also gives you live logs, which can be really helpful during troubleshooting."
"The user interface is good and it is quite easy to use."
"It's a very stable product."
"It is a reliable product."
"The log events are quite useful for us."
"Log collection is the most valuable. The UI looks great. It has a very good look and feel. We don't have the need to use solid state drives. We use mechanic drives, and we don't see any performance issues, so basically, it is doing fine."

Cons

"The customizable dashboards haven't really helped with my company's efficiency at all, and I think there's room for improvement."
"The features we were missing in the past were related to the way we see our metrics and aggregate our data."
"Coralogix's dashboard and search capabilities do not help me in any particular way."
"We want it to work at what it is expected to work at and not really based on the updated configuration which one developer has decided to change."
"The documentation of the tool could be improved"
"The user interface is not intuitive, especially when first onboarding, and improvements could be made here."
"Maybe they could make it more user-friendly."
"The main pain issue for me with Coralogix was that the syntax was a little tricky."
"We should be able to do the patch upgrades in a centralized manner. It would be good to be able to do the firmware updates from one place and at the same time."
"The interface or GUI does not work properly on Microsoft Edge. The behavior or the view is different on Microsoft Edge versus on Chrome or Firefox. When some buttons do not work, I am forced to switch to Firefox."
"The following could be better: operation and maintenance, high-availability architecture, and management link embedded in the transmission link."
"I think technical support should be better. Sometimes support from Fortinet does not help with creating policies or configuration issues and directly routes to the service integrator."
"One thing we struggled with FortiAnalyzer was integration with SIEM. We also had issues with the new threats and APTs. There were false positives, so we needed to have some ratings related to false positives."
"The pricing could be better."
"The UI can be more user-friendly for new users."
"The correlation mechanism and the analytics are not as good as the competitors like Check Point or Panorama."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The platform has a reasonable cost. I rate the pricing a three out of ten."
"We are paying roughly $5,000 a month."
"Currently, we are at a very minimal cost, which is around $400 per month since we have reduced our usage. Initially, we were at $900 per month."
"The cost of the solution is per volume of data ingested."
"The price is not expensive when compared to other solutions like Palo Alto."
"Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is quite an expensive tool."
"FortiAnalyzer was in the product itself, but two years ago they split it from Fortinet. We paid the license two years ago."
"Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is very expensive."
"The pricing model is subscription-based."
"It is not very expensive when customers understand the value of this product and the importance of the information that it provides for security."
"When you compare with other firewall vendors, FortiAnalyzer is quite competitive in pricing."
"The pricing of this solution is fair, and it is based on what you can manage."
