Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I like best about Cloudflare is that my company can use it to trace and manage applications and monitor traffic. The solution tells you if there's a spike in traffic. Cloudflare also sends you a link to check your equipment and deployment and track it through peering, so it's a valuable tool.""Cloudflare has many features.""It's very user-friendly.""The solution is very good at mitigating threats.""The solution provides good load balancing and protection against DDoS attacks.""It is easier to configure and develop documentation to see how we have configured firewalls.""Cloudflare is a security SaaS provider that provides security and protects us from any application layer attack.""The DDoS protection is the most valuable aspect of the solution."

"DDoS Protection Service provides excellent defense in the cloud, and the implementation and migration are very straightforward.""The most valuable feature is the controller that determines when and how traffic can be moved to the cloud.""Provides good monitoring and has a user-friendly dashboard.""The most important part is that Radware DDoS integrates seamlessly and provides anomaly identification, real-time notifications, and security against DDoS attacks. It also helps us with multi-layer volumetric attacks. It shields us from global botnet threats."

Cons
"DNS Management.""It should be easier to collect the logs with companies like Sumo. However, based on my discussions with the salespeople, I understand that's how they make their money. With the enterprise product, they want people doing those kinds of enterprise features to do the logging. They want them to pay a lot of money, and that's where I have an issue with them. That should be a default. You should be able to get the log no matter what. The logging should be universal.""It should have easier documentation for the configuration. It's very technical and people who aren't technical should also be able to do the configuration.""We are a product integrator and reseller, and we would like to have a better partner relationship, similar to a channel sales relationship. Sometimes we are on our own or get diverted by Cloudflare because they have direct sales, which competes with us and makes it difficult to build a relationship with this company since we want to be an MSP or a managed service provider for the solution.""The pricing could be improved.""I think the APIs are a little bit hard for us to work with. The APIs could be more open so that we could integrate better with our SolarWinds or our monitoring solution.""Cloudflare does not have an on-premise solution. If they had different approaches they could be better suited to accommodate more customers, such as on-premise and hybrid deployments. For example, hybrid deployments would be useful where you could move the traffic from the enterprise to the cloud.""The solution could work at being less expensive. It costs a lot to use it."

More Cloudflare Cons →

"Customization could be improved.""Radware's management is very proactive, but Radware's lower-level staff is not proactive. You need to do a lot of follow-ups.""We heavily relied on Radware's technical team to ensure the proper setup and configuration of VPN tunnels for cloud mitigation.""There is room for improvement in the pricing; the product could be more affordable."

    Reviews from Real Users

“Many websites require an SSL certificate because they sell stuff and want SSL. Cloudflare comes with an SSL certificate built in. It's automatic. You sign yourself up for Cloudflare, and an SSL certificate automatically protects your website. If you have a connection between your website and your host, the server, Cloudflare, and the host, you don't necessarily need a certificate.”  Spencer M., Owner at Tech Exchange

“What I like best about Cloudflare is that my company can use it to trace and manage applications and monitor traffic. The solution tells you if there's a spike in traffic. Cloudflare also sends you a link to check your equipment and deployment and track it through peering, so it's a valuable tool.” Daniel P., Network engineer at Ufinet

The most valuable feature of Cloudflare is the GUI. You are able to control the solution very well through the interface. There is a lot of functionality that is embedded in the service.” A PeerSpot user who is a Competence Center Manager at a tech services company.

Provides a unique range of deployment options including always-on, on-demand or fully managed hybrid DDoS services that provide customers optimal cloud DDoS protection to meet the needs of their networks and applications.
