Offers ease to users in the area of authentication management
Speaking about Clerk.com and how it handles data security and user privacy, I would say that the security features are managed by another team in my company, and they are the ones who know how it works. I am confident that so far, I haven't got any complaints of any data leaks. I don't really know the specifics of how the security is implemented. Even if I consider the documents I got with the product, I would say that I really don't know how it works. If one is managing the integration process associated with the product for the first time, then one may face some challenges. If you have done it a couple of times, then it is going to be the same thing for you, meaning that you will be basically doing the same thing in multiple apps. Only the first time I had to face some challenges, going to which I had to go through some tutorials and YouTube videos to be able to figure out the product I would want to tell others to either go big or go home. I recommend the product to other people. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

Identity has become our central gatekeeper and has provided secure single sign-on for all users
Microsoft Entra ID can improve by focusing more on new passwordless methods and becoming a primary adopter. One feature we would like to see is the ability to have security questions for password resets. I know the current capability is phasing out, so we do not have an alternative method yet. Customers who already use security questions require a smoother transition for that capability to be available. My experience with the deployment has had some challenges, particularly around the Microsoft MFA campaigns. The hardest part is moving users from a different MFA provider to the Microsoft MFA provider, as it ultimately depends on user activity. In large enterprises with numerous users across various geographies, this transition takes time. If there are ways to exert more control around that process, it would improve the situation.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I have not faced any stability issues with the product."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to establish resource groups and set permissions through RBAC across these groups."
"Delegated permissions and federated credentials are valuable features of Entra ID."
"It has improved our security posture a lot, with features like conditional access, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication making access easier for users while significantly strengthening protection of our applications and data."
"It is perfectly stable."
"The most valuable feature is its ability to act as an identity provider for other cloud-based, SaaS applications. In our bank, this is the main identity provider for such features."
"Microsoft Entra ID's integration capabilities influence our Zero Trust model by allowing us to enforce our Zero Trust model."
"When logging on to Azure AD it's pretty quick."
"It is easy to manage. I can manage systems with policies and automate our systems. Any professional system can be easily integrated with Azure Active Directory. It is widely used with Windows versions."

Cons

"I am not sure if there could be the use of other languages, like Python, Django, and Slack."
"On-premise capabilities for information and identity management need improvement but I know these are in pipeline."
"There is no great solution in the cloud for Conditional Access authentication and RADIUS-type authentication."
"To improve Microsoft Entra ID, I think on the left navigation bar when you actually open Entra, there is a button that you need to click to make every option available for that tab open, so you always need to click that button, which is an arrow facing upward and an arrow facing downward."
"Something that can be improved is their user interface. It needs to be better."
"It doesn't function the same way as an Active Directory inside of an infrastructure, that is, a physical infrastructure. In the cloud, it is all flat. That's one of the disadvantages."
"Entra ID needs to improve its application credentials and use of ID permissions. There are challenges with the management layer. We want to create access down to the Graph level while invoking some management logic. That also means that if an application comes in, we cannot send that to the Graph because we would need an ID on behalf of the cloud hook."
"Azure Active Directory could benefit by adding the capability for identity life cycle for the on-premise solution. For example, an HR solution, which is built on-premise or, in general, better on-premise capable solutions."
"Many of the features are outdated, so the UI and UX could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If you are working on a personal project, there is a free tier version for up to a few thousand users."
"The solution costs us 60,000 Rupees annually, just over $700, and there are no additional costs."
"The solution was fairly priced the last time I checked the costs."
"It is very expensive. Its price should be lower. Price is the most important factor for Turkish people."
"The price is fine. It's a good value for the money compared with other solutions."
"Entra's pricing is somewhat higher compared to AWS."
"The licensing cost is a bit prohibitive."
"It is worth the money."
"The subscription should be categorized by business size. For example, small companies should have a discounted price, this would help small companies and the organization to be automated."

How does Duo Security compare with Microsoft Authenticator?
We switched to Duo Security for identity verification. We’d been using a competitor but got the chance to evaluate Duo for 30 days, and we could not be happier. Duo Security is easy to configure a...
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for Azure Active Directory?
I would rate the pricing of the product as four out of five. The product is definitely good, and I see it as part of the future roadmap for managing all endpoints.
What needs improvement with Azure Active Directory?
I believe instead of putting everything in a single form under Microsoft Entra ID, it would be best for Microsoft to segregate these features. For example, if someone wants to design the Conditiona...
