Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Before we adopted a VDI storage solution, our customers' personal information was leaked. This happened a lot. But since we adopted a VDI solution, these kinds of issues have happened rarely.""This is a very stable solution which you can feel confident using.""XenDesktop has helped our users to work remotely with a better user experience.""It provides all of the features required for the protection of data. For example, we don't want to allow any copy/paste of data to an outside environment, and we are able to restrict the VDI to not allow any data transfer from the VDI to the local laptop's hard drives. That is one of the greatest advantages the solution provides.""The most valuable feature has to be the non-persistent desktop. If one of my users messes something up and blows away their desktop, it goes back to what it was originally, before they had an issue.""The initial setup is easy.""For our company's customers, I feel that the product is stable.""Instead of pointing to any single feature, I would say the most valuable aspect of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is the overall product itself. Virtualized apps and desktops, in theory and in practice, are very helpful to users."

"The solution is perfect for Linux users.""The most helpful feature of OpenText Exceed TurboX (ETX) is that it allows you to consume heavy applications that usually have a lot of latency. I also like that the solution is fast and has a friendly UI."

Cons
"The Endpoint Management solution needs improvement when it comes to mobile device management. For example, they are still not supporting Windows 10 and this feature is required by many customers.""I would like to see simplification in the management of the on-prem infrastructure component of Citrix DaaS, particularly in the studio tool used to manage the DaaS infrastructure.""It would help if it were a little simpler. It's a bit complicated and we have hired Citrix administrators. But it's a good solution.""If anything could be improved, it might be some of the Director functionality, and some of the dashboard customization, or the overall Director customization.""Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is a complex solution.""As an end-to-end solution for implementing Zero Trust principles I would rate it a six or a seven out of 10, because it doesn't cover all aspects of Zero Trust. There are quite a few aspects you need to cover.""I have to re-enter my user password when I am not using the tool for some time around ten minutes. I want to also improve the need to download other Citrix apps.""The monitoring and management is in need of improvement."

More Citrix DaaS (formerly Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service) Cons →

"The performance of the graphical interface needs improvement. They should add some CPU to speed graphic acceleration.""An area for improvement in OpenText Exceed TurboX (ETX) is the installation process because you need some technical knowledge to install it. What's lacking in OpenText Exceed TurboX (ETX) is a help portal for users to ask questions and seek assistance."
