Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Has delivered consistent desktop experiences across remote locations and has supported multimedia workloads efficiently
I have utilized the HDX protocol for compression and audio-video capabilities. When users need to conduct meetings with customers or colleagues, they can use Teams solutions and open a bridge where video and audio are encapsulated within the ICA protocol, which is protected by SSL and certificates for security. This provides secure communication at good quality through the HDX protocol. HDX protocol has improved application performance as it is specifically designed for multimedia applications. If processing audio or video files, such as in telecom where discussions are recorded and then prepared as video or audio, this does not consume excessive bandwidth during the operation compared to a normal remote desktop connection provided by Microsoft. Everything is compressed and provides sufficient bandwidth for multiple people to perform similar tasks without interruption or session disconnection. All multimedia-related activities, such as playing content on YouTube, deliver a better experience with this protocol overall. I use multi-factor authentication for opening sessions to the data center where users access their machines or software. Multi-factor authentication has helped secure applications because users typically have two-way authentication software on their phones. They use a password first and then authenticate themselves through their mobile application to grant access to resources. This approach is effective because if a hacker attacks a user, they need more than just the password and username. They must also possess the device that provides authentication. The device typically has facial recognition, a password, and provides better security overall.

Inexpensive with useful screen monitoring and screen sharing capabilities
I'm using the latest version of the solution. I'd recommend others switch over to Zoho. It's flexible and highly efficient while being very user-friendly. If users have remote sessions, it's quite useful; however, if there are no remote sessions needed, the solution itself isn't very useful. I'd rate the product nine out of ten.

"Microsoft Intune does a great job of helping protect our environment."
"We already use a lot of Microsoft products in our company, and therefore, it made sense to also use this product."
"The many policies available in Microsoft Intune for managing our devices are valuable."
"The user experience with Microsoft Intune is excellent because we can manage users and maintain security and policies anywhere they are."
"No one can compete with Microsoft when it comes to price, and the features it is offering."
"We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good."
"The App is the most valuable feature."
"It is a stable solution. We don't usually have problems with the platform...It is a very scalable solution."
"The service dash and Workspace Environment Manager service are good features."
"Citrix, among all these products, has added value because of the user experience and its printing capabilities."
"It virtualizes the application on your desktop."
"This is a very stable solution which you can feel confident using."
"It has very good performance in delivering 3D applications over WAN."
"Remote work has been enhanced"
"It is a scalable solution. "
"For five years of using the product, there are no issues; there are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze."
"Technical support is easy to reach."
"Screen monitoring and screen sharing, as well as screen remote control, are all very useful features."

Cons

"Installing software in Microsoft Intune can be challenging if it is not already prepackaged."
"If you wish to block any App Store application, there is no way to do so."
"We would like to see support for Chrome and/or devices for Chromebooks."
"We do not utilize Microsoft customer service and technical support since it is generally a waste of time."
"The reports that are generated aren't so great. They don't give a lot of meaning so far, but that could be down to user knowledge than the actual reporting side of things. I'm not a big user of it, but I was a bigger user of MaaS360, and we used to be able to run weekly and monthly reports. In the case of any deviations. we'd get a warning immediately. That's not so easy to do or to get in place for Intune. This could be just a user issue, but when I compare both, that's the only thing that's lacking for me."
"Microsoft Intune could be improved by providing more detailed and easier-to-navigate reporting and troubleshooting, especially when diagnosing policy failures."
"Yes, there are a couple of issues with stability."
"Its integration with Mac and Linux devices can be better. They should provide more features similar to Windows. We should be able to manage policies within Linux and Mac machines. If we can have more granular controls for these two operating systems, it will be really helpful."
"Beware! It is expensive."
"The video conferencing feature needs to be improved."
"These days, Citrix lacks innovation, so I would rate the current product stack as an eight out of 10."
"In the bank, a major part of all our applications is Microsoft App-V. If App-V is at end of life, then we need a new technology to replace it. As of today, I haven't seen in Citrix Studio that there is a new technology embedded directly in it to replace App-V."
"This solution is resource-intensive, it takes a lot of Bandwidth and a lot of the resources of the server."
"My only issue with Citrix is that they frequently rebrand their products. I'm using the app and everything is fine but after a couple of years, it's entirely different. There were an enormous number of Citrix tools readily available. My immediate concern was selecting the correct ones."
"The application is now very complex."
"Citrix's functionality depends on you having access to Microsoft Azure."
"It could be integrated with IT management tools."
"Support could be more knowledgeable."
"They do have some glitches in the microphone and speaker, especially during remote access."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is good because customers are not complaining about it."
"If you're ever going to buy an Office 365 environment, then pricing is reasonable given all that it does, but if you're not, then you might find the pricing expensive."
"The price of Intune is often included as part of a bundle with other Microsoft licenses, which makes it somewhat cheaper."
"Microsoft Intune's pricing is reasonable."
"Microsoft Intune is pretty reasonable. We have difficulty with Azure, which is probably why we have not put many assets in Azure. Everything we put there is very expensive."
"Microsoft Intune is expensive."
"For organizations that are a Microsoft shop, the pricing is compelling."
"Intune is included with our F3 and E5 licenses."
"We're paying for a standard license and, in my view, the price is too high. I would be satisfied with it if it were reduced by about 20-30%. Right now, I would rate the pricing a five out of ten."
"A perpetual enterprise license costs approximately $300 USD."
"It's costly in the market. But it is not expensive for the company. For the company, it's relatively inexpensive because the core of the work is compensated with the price."
"You can buy an on-cloud or on-prem license. You can switch between on-cloud users and on-prem users. Its licensing is cheap. It is from $8 to $15 per user. It is not that expensive when you compare the cost of buying new hardware with the cost of the license. For example, at $15 per user, it costs around $180 for a year, which is cheaper than buying a $600 PC that at a certain stage, you will again have to change because its hardware is not supported. It may also get damaged or stolen. So, you can compare the cost of the actual hardware that you have to buy and the time spent in supporting the clients with the cost of its license."
"Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is an expensive solution."
"The price of the solution could be less expensive. There are different versions to their solution and the price keeps increasing."
"We spent nearly 1,50,000 Euros for 250 licenses."
"We are just now approaching the end of our initial purchase, which was an excellent price for us as an academic institution. We got a very good deal to get us on board. That license is up for renewal in about a year, and we are nervously waiting to see what the pricing will be."
"Its scalability depends on the business model we purchase."
