Manageable, provides excellent support, and easily integrates with other products
One central area for improvement in Cisco is its product line offering. Cisco has ISE and other products, such as DNS Center and other components. Instead of small to medium-sized customers purchasing devices and maintaining the devices, it would be great if customers could have subscriptions. A CAPEX/OPEX model instead of that Cisco code, where the pricing model is subscription-based, would give much better flexibility for the customers. The pricing and model for Cisco Cloud Services Router and other Cisco products could be improved. One good example of what I want to be added to the Cisco Cloud Services Router in its next version is for it to be more of a plug-and-play product. For example, Juniper has developed QR codes, so if you need to plug in a device, you scan from your phone and connect to the internet. That's it. You can provision the device remotely through the cloud orchestrator, so I want to see a similar function or feature in Cisco Cloud Services Router.

Reliable border connectivity with responsive support but there's room for more intuitive documentation
The documentation is somewhat lacking and not easy to navigate. There are some errors and misleading information. The general appearance of the company site is also not user-friendly for downloading firmware. Firmware updates should be more straightforward. More security features would be appreciated, however, they should be easy to understand and implement.

"The product is fantastic."
"The routers have mainstream features that fulfill our needs."
"It is a robust and efficient solution."
"When we started, the connection was amazing for the 100G between the switches and the co-switch. What the students typically use for school is a maximum is 40 so they now have faster technology."
"The product’s technical support team is responsive."
"The most valuable feature of Huawei Enterprise Routers is if have two networks at different geographical locations with a great deal of distance they work together as if they are on the same cloud network."
"The product has valuable support services."

Cons

"Cisco Cloud Services Router could improve by having more features. It is lacking features, such as virtualization and containerization. Additionally, there should be increased security and connectivity between routers."
"It does the job, but it's not cloud native. It could be even better, like having a single pane of glass and being less expensive."
"They have an online registration that happens after they pick up block months. If they could decrease to yearly or something, sometimes the device is not cell phone accessible. That becomes an issue or challenge for us. If that can be improved, that would be really great."
"You can use this router in a scalable solution but it has its limitations."
"It could grow or adapt to changes in the cloud. For example, cloud does not support autoscaling. When people want to grow, they have to do manual activities."
"The AWS version seems to be a lot less reliable, and we had a lot of issues with the initial configuration."
"I would like to see better security, where there are more access controls and data confidentiality."
"I would like the ability to moderate between devices on-premise to off-premise. This would be a vast improvement."
"In the enterprise space, Cisco seems to be performing better than Huawei."
"I have an issue with Huawei; when we can't solve a project problem, support will say, "Oh, this will be from next year, we don't want to create support, for example, Huawei Router.""
"There is not much of a technical team for Huawei available in Pakistan as compared to Cisco with respect to very complex networks."
"The stability ended up not being what we hoped, therefore, we reverted back to Cisco routers, which are much more stable."
"We have found we have to restart the routers or reconfigured them a lot of the time, this issue should improve. The quality of the hardware needs to be more durable."
"The internet service for enterprise bundle should be improved."
"In my country we don't have Huawei technology, we only have Huawei routers for ISP. There is no agent for Huawei in Egypt."
"We'd like the product to be more flexible so that we could more easily manipulate some of the features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Purchasing the product on the AWS Marketplace was very simplistic. Our organization was trying to centralize our billing costs, and simplicity was best."
"The price is a little high, more than what we wanted to pay. This is one area where we would like to understanding how the price could be brought down a bit more."
"Purchasing it through the AWS Marketplace was very simple. We went through the AWS Marketplace because it was the easiest way to get the product up and running very quickly."
"We would prefer to go through the vendor instead of AWS, as we have a relationship with the vendor and can get discounts directly from them. Going through the vendor, it is much cheaper for us. Though, we would still keep it hosted on AWS."
"The pricing is fine, though it might have been cheaper going through a partner or doing a direct buy."
"The cost needs improvement. It is very expensive through the AWS Marketplace."
"Purchasing through the AWS Marketplace was easy; click a button and you have it."
"Cisco Cloud Services Router is an expensive product. My company pays for the product yearly, and the price reaches roughly $800,000. Though Cisco Cloud Services Router is expensive and its competitors offer better pricing, when it comes to support, it's unbeatable."
"Huawei offers a cheaper enterprise router solution than Cisco."
"Huawei Enterprise Routers’s cost is average. I rate its pricing a five out of ten."
"The solution's price is reasonable."
"The tool's licensing is yearly."
"The price of the solution is fair."
"The price is reasonable compared to Cisco's."
"The product is inexpensive, but there is an extra cost for replacement of the device."
"There is no licence for this solution, but the solution could be cheaper."
