Secure, scalable, and straightforward installation
The technical support from Cisco is not very good. In a recent experience, they asked us for 20 minutes about our project and then redirected around to other people. I need to report to this agent, I need to register to this database, there is too much involved in getting a solution. This has always been the case, they are asking us too many questions, and then when it comes down to a solution, it is at a bare minimum. This is something they can improve on, but they do not seem eager to improve. However, we do have an assigned project representative that is helpful.

Strong security and versatile features drive positive experience, but support responsiveness can improve
The main purpose of Citrix Gateway is to enforce the appropriate level of access to the correct user on the proper device under the correct conditions. This is enabled through Citrix Gateway combined with endpoint analysis and optional Citrix analytics for security. Regarding improvements, implementing adaptive access policies on Citrix Gateway could be enhanced, particularly in security posture. Although it enforces real-time contextual access control based on device, user network risk, certain aspects can be improved. Other areas for improvement include BYOD access control and risk-based decision-making. Additionally, there is potential for reducing administrative overhead by applying policies dynamically based on context rather than static rules. Incident response speed is another area that could be enhanced.

Helps to connect remote systems and offers collaborative features
In the Philippines, VPN usage may not be widely known, but we leverage VPN effectively within my organization. I've shared our in-house systems with other district offices, as I cover fifteen municipalities and cater to the entire province. This platform is a valuable tool for us, enabling collaborative work, and allowing us to update our services remotely.

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is keeping our data secure."
"Overall, it does exactly what we want it to do, considering the specific features that we want."
"It works well for any environment that wants to use a VPN."
"The solution is scalable and can go from a very small deployment to handling 10,000 transactions a second."
"It's a stable solution while it's running."
"Provides good performance and speed."
"Just creating that gateway to the storefront for Citrix is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us."
"All of the features are quite valuable, including the node balancing and gateway."
"Its ease of use and how everybody can easily work through it are the most valuable features."
"If you need to share resources across a corporation, I would recommend this solution."
"The product enables us to collect logs from the systems."
"The solution has four key features, that maybe the other competitors don't have yet."
"It allowed us to be able to use both ISP connections at pretty much double the bandwidth, and it also provided us the high availability because if one ISP goes down, it is usually transparent so the users don't notice."
"The valuable feature is that, after reading about its capabilities and using it for a while, Peplink SpeedFusion employs eight technologies within its SD-WAN profile, addressing issues like packet loss and latency. The solution is highly stable. I rate it a nine out of ten. The support team gives quick response and efficient local support."
"Our customers find it to be an interesting and tempting solution."
"It is a very stable product."
"The most valuable feature is the virtual VPN concentrator."
"I have been using Peplink SpeedFusion for more than ten years."
"The SpeedFusion feature is good. It allowed us to move away from IPsec between the sites. It is also a really easy product to deploy."

Cons

"There is no security, such as an antivirus and URL filtering mechanism, which is something that should be improved."
"The technical support from Cisco is not very good."
"When it comes to the VDA environment, making it additionally stable is important."
"The monitoring site could be much better because monitoring NetScaler and Citrix Gateway is too difficult with just SNMP traps available."
"Usually, with Citrix the issue is the pricing, especially for the African region. We believe it's really expensive."
"The first level support is very poor."
"We are currently looking at automation. It would be good if there is some way to automate it in a fast way. It should be easy to automate. It also has some security issues."
"Citrix Gateway could improve the speed of the VPN. I sometimes have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get connected and other times when I am connected I have to abort, and reconnect."
"I'd like to see support for reverse proxy and more security features."
"Stability and security could be enhanced."
"The stability has room for improvement."
"Their hardware support isn't the greatest. We've had one unit go down, and it took a while for them to replace it. It was in the Caribbeans, so it might be a location-related issue."
"There is room for improvement in enhancing security features, such as incorporating intrusion detection blocking capabilities and integrating artificial intelligence to bolster security aspects on the device."
"A disadvantage for Peplink maybe the features are not as strong as those of their competitors."
"Its pricing is the main issue. The pricing could be improved."
"Its pricing is the main issue. The pricing could be improved. I would like to see an outbound policy based on the application. It is a very good feature, and most of the customers are looking for that. They can also include stronger firewall features. This would help the customers in choosing this product as the only device for the SD network."
"Some of the partners, especially in the Middle East, are not fine."
"The product needs to aggregate the bandwidth of different ISPs. It needs to improve scalability as well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay approximately $15,000 a month but that includes everything together, such as hardware."
"This product is not too expensive and there are no costs apart from the standard licensing fee."
"I consider Citrix Gateway to be an expensive solution, generally ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 yearly, depending on the model."
"I believe the pricing is comparable to SaaS"
"There are two or three different models, but you can actually have a CapEx where you purchase the unit outright and then there's a yearly maintenance cost on top for years two and three, and four, or you can actually do a subscription purchase through Citrix cloud and you pay on a monthly basis, or you can have a three-year subscription contract as well. I give the solution a six out of ten for its cost."
"Usually with Citrix the issue is the pricing, especially for the African region. We believe it's really expensive."
"Pricing is very high if you do a comparison with what is available in the market."
"Citrix is quite expensive."
"It is expensive and requires proper planning with strategy."
"It costs about 4,000 a year."
"Perpetual licensing, which is good for customers that don't want any annual or subscription based license."
"It has lifetime licensing. Its pricing is high for most of the markets."
"I rate Peplink SpeedFusion's pricing an eight out of ten."
"The cost is in the middle, a five out of ten."
"Its licensing fee is on a yearly basis. For the price, it is actually pretty good value."
"It's not cheap, but it is highly competitive."
