Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Secure data transfers and reliable remote connectivity have strengthened infrastructure
Check Point Remote Access VPN helps me secure and protect my data. If a remote user's device has a vulnerability, the VPN helps. It is very reliable and cost-effective. It keeps my data protected so no one can breach it. There is no interception between the two channels, from the user to the data center, when the VPN tunnel is established with Check Point. Check Point also has a high rate of threat prevention, so I really trust it in this case. I have noticed that my data is now more secure and reliable when accessed from a remote location. This is an issue that it has resolved for my data center.

Good remote services feature and easy to setup
With LogMeIn Pro, we could connect up to 10 computers, and having an option for something in between would be good. Like, we went from 10 to the next level, which was around 50 or so. If there was a tier, perhaps around 20, that I would have probably purchased, and it would have been a better fit for what I needed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Overall, my user experience with Microsoft Intune has been great."
"We can implement a MAM policy in this Intune and protect the device through mobile application development without touching it. The interface is easy to use and understand."
"It is user-friendly, and the performance is also good. It is a convenient product"
"The ability to switch between Affinity and non-Affinity enrollment is great."
"Microsoft Intune does help me save time in terms of management of various devices—I don't have to go to those locations to manage the devices at those locations, I can do it remotely, which is very helpful."
"There are many features in Microsoft Intune. For personal mobile devices, MDM is what I most prefer."
"The policy and compliance monitoring of devices and the software deployment are most valuable."
"The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types, we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager(MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company detail on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
"The best feature of Check Point Remote Access VPN is the control during the connectivity—whenever I connect to my organization's network, my PC is always connected to the private network, even whenever I connect to the internet."
"One of the most outstanding features is the ability to deliver third-party services and achieve double authenticity with integrated identities."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted our organization by centralizing the VPN connections so that we only have one place to manage them, instead of multiple that we had before."
"Access is browser-based only and requires no additional client installation."
"A single login based on a second authentication factor is giving us the possibility of integrating third-party services for authentication based on a security scheme."
"The complexity is hidden within a full mesh network, allowing seamless user-to-application connectivity with minimal delay."
"Our users find the interface very comfortable to use."
"The product's initial setup phase was easy."
"It's even simple to remotely add a computer to our group. We can send a link to that computer and they just follow the prompts on the screen and they are ready to go - we can access it. It's very user-friendly."
"I would tell others who are looking into this solution that I feel that it's a secure solution. I never had any issues with its security element. I think that it's very simple to use. I think it is user-friendly, and you can work between computers pretty well on it."
"The remote connection is the most valuable, but we also use it for file transfer, that would be probably the second most valuable. The remote connection is a major time saver, it saves us from having to drive to each location."
"I can connect to them remotely and do all the functions I would have to do by manually driving to them, so it does make things a lot easier."
"It must have been straightforward. My IT person set it up for me. It is a friendly program."
"They recently included the Kaspersky Security Suite as part of their Central Product."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"I can use it for training, which I have done. As a person sits in front of the computer they can watch what I do, or I can watch what they do."

Cons

"Onboarding of endpoint devices is not straightforward. The onboarding process was a little heavier than I thought it would be. That's the key improvement area. Obviously, the more control you have over the devices, the better it is."
"The reporting could be improved, as it's pretty poor compared to other products of this type."
"There is still a gap between SCCM and Intune, especially in the reporting, inventory, and software deployment areas."
"I, as such, do not have any specific inputs or needs. However, there is always room for improvement when it comes to scalability."
"Sometimes, updating a client policy is very difficult. This needs to be improved."
"Its integration with Mac and Linux devices can be better. They should provide more features similar to Windows. We should be able to manage policies within Linux and Mac machines. If we can have more granular controls for these two operating systems, it will be really helpful."
"Sometimes, the process is unsuccessful when we attempt to reset a device and wipe the data using Intune."
"There should be more focus on mobile device security and integration."
"Sometimes it causes the consumption of machine resources, and also improves the scanning since they consume many resources in the clients' machines."
"Check Point should provide a feature in the management server. When we create a VPN, it should allow for posture checking of the laptop for compliance."
"The documentation on how to integrate is out of date, not maintained, and not really supported from Check Point's side."
"When you need to create something, you have to follow many steps and I think that should be simplified."
"The client-side UI is fundamental, and there is nothing to see."
"Our key technical supports come during hours that are not aligned with our working hours, which sometimes affects our access to support."
"You have no ability to reserve a total number of licenses. The VPN user licenses are assigned per gateway, and if you enable MEP function is not so easy to size the gateway licenses."
"User experience and interface need improvement. The VPN client interface is functional but could benefit from a more modern, intuitive design, with clearer connection status indicators, simplified settings, and a more guided setup process would help reduce confusion, especially for less tech-savvy users."
"Everything has to be done over the web, via email, or something like that. You can't talk to a human being. That bothers me a lot."
"The user interface needs improvement. Mostly, it's pretty intuitive for what I need to do, but the extra elements to it seem very complex, so I don't really try to even use those. For example, document sharing, file stuff. I can do the log-in part, but the additional features are kind of complex."
"It's never cheap enough. If we got it for free, that would be perfect. But I know it's not and won't be free. It's always going to be too expensive for me because we're a small company."
"As far as the usability of it, I'd like to see if printing could be enabled in the basic version or the medium version. Some of the remote printing isn't available unless you go to the premium versions, and that's disappointing."
"Unfortunately, LogMeIn is a long ways from being perfect. It has a lot of really great features, though they don't always work well."
"I would enhance the product, so if I had two screens in front of me, it could connect to two computers simultaneously with the program. For example, if I had a computer at location A and a computer at location B and I am sitting at location C, it might be nice for me to be able to be connected to all three of those computers and move data between those three during one session. "
"Maybe they can come up with a plan if you only use it for login and, occasionally, printing. Maybe you can charge what you used to charge and then if we want to use it for files or things that are more sophisticated, charge a little more."
"At certain times of the day, during the "rush hour," it's very slow. I don't know if it's the latency of the internet or the amount of people on it in the afternoon at 4:00, 5:00pm. Getting data transferred takes a longer time than other times of the day."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"While I can't provide insights from a business perspective, it's worth noting that the pricing may differ significantly, and the discount we received might not be reflective of standard business rates."
"Consider the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite rather than choosing specific sub-components, e.g. only Microsoft Intune."
"Intune comes with the licensing that is common for large organizations. However, Microsoft has recently released many add-ons that are very expensive, especially for large organizations or corporations."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"It comes as a bundle, so you do not really know what the prices are. Microsoft does not break it down to the user cost for us. It is just bundled with our E5 license."
"Most of our clients come to us with licensing already in place. On average, it costs $6 per device per month to add Intune to an Office 365 subscription, but I am not sure."
"The product is expensive."
"Intune's pricing is competitive. For example, the license of Blackberry's Enterprise Mobility Suite was costly, but Intune is affordable. It is included as an additional feature when you buy security enhancements for your organization. For example, let's say I have fifty users in my organization and all of them are using Microsoft cloud services, like Teams, Office 365, and OneDrive."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
"My company makes yearly payments only towards the licensing costs attached to Check Point Remote Access VPN, as there are no extra costs attached to the product."
"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"I can say that the licensing costs are charged annually."
"The price of this product is good."
"I give the price of the solution a five out of ten."
"The price point has gone up significantly. We used to have a lot of other customers. I used to sell it to other customer sites. But they've moved to TeamViewer, SiteSecure, and several others. There are four or five others that they went to because they're being more competitive on their pricing."
"Lower the price for an individual user. "
"To be honest with you, I use it just for login and the prices are getting too high so we're going to look for an alternative solution. It used to be a couple of hundred dollars a year, now it's like $600 a year. We're definitely going to be switching shortly. Every year they have significant increases."
"If you subscribe the package of 100 Agents, but install 5, you are still paying for the 100 agent package."
"Pricing has been going up for just going back and forth between two computers. Last year I called and complained, they gave me a deal. This year, it's gone up to $350. I'm looking for a new source. It seems to be getting expensive for me to look back and forth. Come up with a different level of service for just communicating with two computers; I use it, maybe, five minutes a day."
"I did not deal with the financial aspect but my impression is that they are more expensive."
"I have a tiered pricing. If I wanted to subscribe for three years, I will get a discount for that."
"It is expensive, but in the long run we still come out ahead, because it saves us so much labor and downtime driving from one location to the other. In the end it's well worth the expense."
