Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Secure data transfers and reliable remote connectivity have strengthened infrastructure
Check Point Remote Access VPN helps me secure and protect my data. If a remote user's device has a vulnerability, the VPN helps. It is very reliable and cost-effective. It keeps my data protected so no one can breach it. There is no interception between the two channels, from the user to the data center, when the VPN tunnel is established with Check Point. Check Point also has a high rate of threat prevention, so I really trust it in this case. I have noticed that my data is now more secure and reliable when accessed from a remote location. This is an issue that it has resolved for my data center.

Good remote services feature and easy to setup
With LogMeIn Pro, we could connect up to 10 computers, and having an option for something in between would be good. Like, we went from 10 to the next level, which was around 50 or so. If there was a tier, perhaps around 20, that I would have probably purchased, and it would have been a better fit for what I needed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a comprehensive security solution that not only controls access to enterprise resources but also tracks and prevents unauthorized access, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and preventing potential data loss scenarios."
"The insights, even though we're talking about charts and graphs, are super valuable to customers who might not otherwise know what's in their ecosystem or the current state of things within their ecosystem."
"The most valuable features are that users can make screenshots, and devices only need the minimal version of iOS."
"For our office workers who are not based in Norway, when we order the PC, we can do some of the settings for them, with standardized settings, so we can set them up exactly as they are in Norway so that they're the same."
"The solution offers very good integration with broader enterprise systems and allows companies to capitalize on costs, especially if they are a Microsoft shop."
"It is a cloud-based service. It is easy to use and offers privacy."
"It is user-friendly, and the performance is also good. It is a convenient product"
"The most valuable feature for us is the security, including risk analysis and patch management."
"The most valuable feature is the seamless access."
"The Check Point Endpoint Remote Access VPN for macOS and Windows are reliable solutions for remote access VPN, and fully compatible with the Check Point security ecosystem."
"It is easy to install the Endpoint Remote Access VPN client to different platforms."
"The security and reliability we are receiving are exceptional."
"It offers a simple configuration and setup."
"The advanced malware protection and the sandboxing features are very valuable as they perform well, with detection being very high."
"The IPSec VPN, Mobile Access, and Identity Awareness are three of the blades with which we have been working with since the pandemic. This has given us great mobility, making our network more dynamic."
"The headache of connecting has been removed."
"The biggest thing is the flexibility, you can use it as long as you can get an internet connection. You can use it pretty much anywhere you're at. It just makes it a lot easier. We are a small staff, and if nobody is in the office, LogMeIn gives us secure access to get in there."
"I would tell others who are looking into this solution that I feel that it's a secure solution. I never had any issues with its security element. I think that it's very simple to use. I think it is user-friendly, and you can work between computers pretty well on it."
"Customer support was great because any issues I encountered were responded to in a timely manner and they were able to resolve any issues that I had."
"The ROI is almost instantaneous, in that it aggregates multiple functions into one, and allows for proactive actions that could otherwise cause some downtime or inconvenience."
"We are using LogMeIn for our IT Management."
"They recently included the Kaspersky Security Suite as part of their Central Product."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to seamlessly launch a Calling Card on a user’s desktop to quickly and securely access their computer with reboot integration and data transfer."
"It saves me time, it saves me headaches, it saves me a lot of problems, and I'm able to fix things quickly and move on."

Cons

"The product needs to upgrade itself when the server is overloaded."
"One thing that could be better in Microsoft Intune is the file size, as it is quite large at times."
"It would be better if Microsoft can reduce the cost of the license, as we know the Intune device subscription is licensed per device at a cost of $2 a month, but for the best enhanced security and features we must add an add-on license or buy or upgrade to a bundling license such as M365E5."
"I know that their AI pieces are at the infancy stage, but allowing users to do more tagging for information would be an interesting thing because Intune also directly integrates with Azure. Because a lot of the devices are hosted with that, you also get a lot of tagging of user data and other things like that."
"There is room for improvement in the reporting capabilities, specifically app reporting. It is challenging to report which apps are installed on which device."
"We do not utilize Microsoft customer service and technical support since it is generally a waste of time."
"Intune's server management could be better. If it could incorporate more features from System Center into Intune's Configuration Manager, it would be beneficial."
"Additional application deployment options e.g. MSI deployment with more complex parameters or additional side-by-side files, and non-MSI deployment options."
"The Compliance software blade is available only for the Windows operating systems family, so no macOS security checks are implemented and performed."
"User experience and interface need improvement. The VPN client interface is functional but could benefit from a more modern, intuitive design, with clearer connection status indicators, simplified settings, and a more guided setup process would help reduce confusion, especially for less tech-savvy users."
"In an environment with multiple cluster checkpoints, the global properties common to all clusters in some cases give problems."
"The non-standard setup is quite complex as you have to do changes via GUI and CLI."
"A characteristic to improve is the communication service under the SMTP scheme."
"The support hours don't align with work hours, and AI could be introduced."
"The client-side UI is fundamental, and there is nothing to see."
"We encounter challenges for the product’s installation and troubleshooting processes compared to other VPN products."
"Maybe they can come up with a plan if you only use it for login and, occasionally, printing. Maybe you can charge what you used to charge and then if we want to use it for files or things that are more sophisticated, charge a little more."
"Everything has to be done over the web, via email, or something like that. You can't talk to a human being. That bothers me a lot."
"With our recent Windows 10 rollout, there was a rough patch, but that has been corrected."
"When using LogMeIn, you need a separate chat window."
"Lower the price for an individual user. The company does not scale the price based upon use."
"The UI could be a little bit more robust."
"Remote Access for external and internal customers."
"It would be helpful if there were more things that you could do outside of having to log into the machine, such as being able to raise a command line and reboot the computer if, for whatever reason, it doesn't want to let me in."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's monthly for us, but it's built into the license cost that we pay our IT each month. It's maybe 129 Kroner per head, which translates to £10. There are some additional costs. Our IT had to set up and configure their own server, so there is an extra cost for that, but I'm not sure what that costs."
"It's reasonable. They're not giving it away, but it's reasonable."
"Microsoft Intune's pricing is reasonable."
"We have a limited budget for security investments, so Microsoft should consider reducing pricing in our region. This would make investment more viable, especially since larger businesses in other countries can afford it easily."
"Intune comes with the licensing that is common for large organizations. However, Microsoft has recently released many add-ons that are very expensive, especially for large organizations or corporations."
"Intune is included with our F3 and E5 licenses."
"Pricing can be improved."
"Its price is in the medium range. It is acceptable because you're paying for the features. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"The price of this product is good."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"My company makes yearly payments only towards the licensing costs attached to Check Point Remote Access VPN, as there are no extra costs attached to the product."
"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"I did not deal with the financial aspect but my impression is that they are more expensive."
"To be honest with you, I use it just for login and the prices are getting too high so we're going to look for an alternative solution. It used to be a couple of hundred dollars a year, now it's like $600 a year. We're definitely going to be switching shortly. Every year they have significant increases."
"My company needs to make annual payments toward the licensing cost of the product. There are no extra costs in addition to the standard license fees of the product."
"It is expensive, but in the long run we still come out ahead, because it saves us so much labor and downtime driving from one location to the other. In the end it's well worth the expense."
"The price point has gone up significantly. We used to have a lot of other customers. I used to sell it to other customer sites. But they've moved to TeamViewer, SiteSecure, and several others. There are four or five others that they went to because they're being more competitive on their pricing."
"I think it's competitively priced. I haven't priced it out since we started with it, but the yearly subscription fee is worth it. It's not outrageous, and I believe that it's worth it for our company to pay the fees for the use of the product."
"Lower the price for an individual user. "
"If you subscribe the package of 100 Agents, but install 5, you are still paying for the 100 agent package."
