Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Secure data transfers and reliable remote connectivity have strengthened infrastructure
Check Point Remote Access VPN helps me secure and protect my data. If a remote user's device has a vulnerability, the VPN helps. It is very reliable and cost-effective. It keeps my data protected so no one can breach it. There is no interception between the two channels, from the user to the data center, when the VPN tunnel is established with Check Point. Check Point also has a high rate of threat prevention, so I really trust it in this case. I have noticed that my data is now more secure and reliable when accessed from a remote location. This is an issue that it has resolved for my data center.

Good remote services feature and easy to setup
With LogMeIn Pro, we could connect up to 10 computers, and having an option for something in between would be good. Like, we went from 10 to the next level, which was around 50 or so. If there was a tier, perhaps around 20, that I would have probably purchased, and it would have been a better fit for what I needed.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"One valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is the enrollment process, which is user-based, making it easier to manage compared to AirWatch."
"It is very easy for me to configure all the things. Once I create policies and applications in Intune, it is very easy for us to enroll users."
"It is helpful for managing devices anytime and any place without requiring dependency on the local networks."
"A valuable feature is user enrollment, where users can enroll their devices in their organizations themselves."
"We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good."
"I like how Microsoft Intune lets me lock down the email profile and make it accessible only on certain devices."
"Microsoft Intune has transformed my organization; we are managing to scale the Intune deployment across all our regions efficiently, and it works perfectly for our needs."
"Intune provides full visibility into all active mobile device users. If their devices are noncompliant with our security policies, I have the flexibility to update them remotely."
"Among its most valuable features is how it quickly and easily connects everyone to the VPN service."
"It keeps us safe when browsing the internet and when sharing confidential information with our colleagues."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted our organization because after deployment, our employees' productivity increased significantly; they perform better and achieve their goals due to the flexibility to work at any time without being bound to office hours or location."
"The advanced malware protection and the sandboxing features are very valuable as they perform well, with detection being very high."
"The ability to create your trigger data domains is the solution's most valuable feature."
"Scalability is great. We have been able to grow as a corporation due in part to this type of solution."
"Check Point has been perfect for protecting us from any type of attack or data theft during remote management."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted my organization by improving productivity and given us a workaround in times of downtime."
"It must have been straightforward. My IT person set it up for me. It is a friendly program."
"You don't have to remember the password and the login all the time. Once you get it in there, it's in there, and you can go about your business."
"Technical support was able to address everything that I asked in a timely, responsible, satisfactory manner."
"I can copy information and put it into a presentation that I may be putting together at another location."
"It's the only product I need to be able to get to my office Outlook, to get my emails off that particular computer. Going the other way, sometimes I'll go to my home computer to do adjustments to my accounting system there."
"The most valuable feature is having it in a central location, all the different groups, and being able to ad-hoc or at will log on to whichever computer system I need to get to from a central spot."
"Being able to remote access my computer means I can work at night from my house."
"I can use it for training, which I have done. As a person sits in front of the computer they can watch what I do, or I can watch what they do."

Cons

"The reporting part needs improvement, and it would be beneficial if it could integrate with third-party tools instead of just Power BI."
"Intune lags all of its competitors in terms of report generation."
"Microsoft Intune has potential for improvement; I would like to see a lot more customization in the reporting tools."
"I have faced stability issues with Microsoft Intune plenty of times, but I think it's part of the process."
"There are a few security features that are not available in Microsoft Intune, when compared to other products."
"The solution could improve by having better integration with Apple."
"It would be nice to have a location tracker for the mobile device management tool. I'm not sure if it exists but hasn't been configured or if it's missing, but we've been unable to utilize the location features."
"The add-ons must be integrated into the solution."
"Some configurations, like idle timeout (the requirement came from multiple users), are not possible to configure directly from the Check Point management server."
"The product needs to improve its support."
"They need to increase their timeout. Right now, it will fail after ten seconds, however, it shouldn't fail until after 20 seconds."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN's current configuration has some limitations and issues. One major drawback is the inability to configure multiple gateways from the same management server for VPN access."
"Connection of devices from various locations is efficient though there are a few challenges when there is a network failure."
"The cost of maintenance is high compared to most products in the market."
"There is always room for innovation and the addition of new features."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN can be improved by having more granular options to steer traffic, like easier configurations for split tunneling, which is currently complex."
"The only issue is that they could have a tier between 10 seats and 50."
"It's never cheap enough. If we got it for free, that would be perfect. But I know it's not and won't be free. It's always going to be too expensive for me because we're a small company."
"The user interface needs improvement. Mostly, it's pretty intuitive for what I need to do, but the extra elements to it seem very complex, so I don't really try to even use those. For example, document sharing, file stuff. I can do the log-in part, but the additional features are kind of complex."
"Unfortunately, LogMeIn is a long ways from being perfect. It has a lot of really great features, though they don't always work well."
"It would be helpful if there were more things that you could do outside of having to log into the machine, such as being able to raise a command line and reboot the computer if, for whatever reason, it doesn't want to let me in."
"As far as the usability of it, I'd like to see if printing could be enabled in the basic version or the medium version. Some of the remote printing isn't available unless you go to the premium versions, and that's disappointing."
"Everything has to be done over the web, via email, or something like that. You can't talk to a human being. That bothers me a lot."
"Remote Access for external and internal customers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price for Intune is fair."
"Its price is quite okay. I wish they provide certain additional features with the same license."
"Microsoft Intune is not cost-effective as a standalone product."
"It's reasonable. They're not giving it away, but it's reasonable."
"It's monthly for us, but it's built into the license cost that we pay our IT each month. It's maybe 129 Kroner per head, which translates to £10. There are some additional costs. Our IT had to set up and configure their own server, so there is an extra cost for that, but I'm not sure what that costs."
"Its licensing model is not complex, but it is very expensive compared to other solutions. They can bring more models and reduce the pricing. They should allow customers to select the features they want and price it accordingly."
"I rate Intune five out of 10 for pricing. It's expensive."
"We are partners, so we receive some discount. However, from the customer's perspective, Microsoft Intune's pricing is competitive with non-Microsoft technology, and the price is good compared to other market competitors."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
"The price of this product is good."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"My company makes yearly payments only towards the licensing costs attached to Check Point Remote Access VPN, as there are no extra costs attached to the product."
"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"I give the price of the solution a five out of ten."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"To be honest with you, I use it just for login and the prices are getting too high so we're going to look for an alternative solution. It used to be a couple of hundred dollars a year, now it's like $600 a year. We're definitely going to be switching shortly. Every year they have significant increases."
"I am very happy to say that I have been very satisfied with the LogMeIn product, except for the escalation of the price. "
"We're paying $839 a year, so we're paying about $70 a month. We're using the smallest version of Pro."
"My company needs to make annual payments toward the licensing cost of the product. There are no extra costs in addition to the standard license fees of the product."
"I have a tiered pricing. If I wanted to subscribe for three years, I will get a discount for that."
"Pricing is what I'm upset with. Now, that they bought everybody up, the price doubled."
"If you subscribe the package of 100 Agents, but install 5, you are still paying for the 100 agent package."
"It is pricey. When they renew me, they always boost it up, I call them and they cut it back a little bit."
