Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Secure data transfers and reliable remote connectivity have strengthened infrastructure
Check Point Remote Access VPN helps me secure and protect my data. If a remote user's device has a vulnerability, the VPN helps. It is very reliable and cost-effective. It keeps my data protected so no one can breach it. There is no interception between the two channels, from the user to the data center, when the VPN tunnel is established with Check Point. Check Point also has a high rate of threat prevention, so I really trust it in this case. I have noticed that my data is now more secure and reliable when accessed from a remote location. This is an issue that it has resolved for my data center.

Good remote services feature and easy to setup
With LogMeIn Pro, we could connect up to 10 computers, and having an option for something in between would be good. Like, we went from 10 to the next level, which was around 50 or so. If there was a tier, perhaps around 20, that I would have probably purchased, and it would have been a better fit for what I needed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"A great solution for anyone wanting a modern endpoint device management solution."
"If you need only to load a specific profile and you don't have deep security functionalities, et cetera, Intune is very nice and good."
"There are no complaints about the stability. It works one hundred percent of the time."
"The Mobile Device Management in Intune is a valuable feature."
"This solution saves us a lot of time once it's implemented."
"The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types, we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager(MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company detail on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
"I would rate the overall solution as a 10."
"The user experience of Microsoft Intune is very friendly and the interface is very good."
"To maintain the authorization of the connected user, Check Point provides multi-factor authentication for an RA VPN client to make sure legitimate users have access to resources."
"Once we install and connect the VPN service, it keeps on running until we disconnect."
"One feature that is highly valued by our clients in remote access VPN is the IPsec suite. With IPsec, we can encrypt our data, ensuring that no one can perform a man-in-the-middle attack or decrypt the data. It utilizes powerful mathematical calculations and end-to-end encryption, preventing hacking attempts."
"Among its most valuable features is how it quickly and easily connects everyone to the VPN service."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted our organization by centralizing the VPN connections so that we only have one place to manage them, instead of multiple that we had before."
"The best feature of Check Point Remote Access VPN is the control during the connectivity—whenever I connect to my organization's network, my PC is always connected to the private network, even whenever I connect to the internet."
"Access is browser-based only and requires no additional client installation."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has made my job easier because I don't need to worry about reaching the organization office and connecting to servers, as I am now free to work from anywhere and able to access the server securely and seamlessly."
"Being able to remote access my computer means I can work at night from my house."
"The remote connection is the most valuable, but we also use it for file transfer, that would be probably the second most valuable. The remote connection is a major time saver, it saves us from having to drive to each location."
"I can copy information and put it into a presentation that I may be putting together at another location."
"The remote services feature is definitely the most valuable, along with the capability to print remotely."
"They recently included the Kaspersky Security Suite as part of their Central Product."
"If I could give it an 11 out of 10 I would, but I definitely give it a 10. It saves me time, it saves me headaches, it saves me a lot of problems, and I'm able to fix things quickly and move on. I can get in and out of the computer without anyone really even knowing that I fixed something."
"I can use it for training, which I have done. As a person sits in front of the computer they can watch what I do, or I can watch what they do."
"It's the only product I need to be able to get to my office Outlook, to get my emails off that particular computer. Going the other way, sometimes I'll go to my home computer to do adjustments to my accounting system there."

Cons

"Microsoft Copilot in Microsoft Intune is absolutely useless for protecting my environment."
"Customer service is not really good. I would give it a six out of ten. The main issue is the time it takes to get someone involved who truly understands what the product does."
"The security aspect could be more effective."
"Microsoft Intune could improve by being more user-friendly and having it geared toward device management. The graphic interface is not very good."
"What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade."
"I would like the ability to install the agent on devices from suppliers, which would enable us to implement a zero-trust strategy for guest devices."
"During the onboarding of Microsoft Intune, we faced the problem that the policies were not getting synced."
"I rate Microsoft customer service six out of 10. While some technicians go above and beyond, there is inconsistency, and connecting with the most helpful representatives is occasionally challenging."
"Compliance Check on Check Point should be improved by having more configurable conditions to support multi-platforms and adding more granularity."
"They need to increase their timeout. Right now, it will fail after ten seconds, however, it shouldn't fail until after 20 seconds."
"The documentation on how to integrate is out of date, not maintained, and not really supported from Check Point's side."
"A characteristic to improve is the communication service under the SMTP scheme."
"They need to increase their timeout. Right now, it will fail after ten seconds, however, it shouldn't fail until after 20. If you don't get on your phone right away and check on your authentications, it will kick you out."
"It would be good to have Remote Access VPN solutions for Check Point edge services."
"As everything is moving to cloud environments, it would be beneficial if Check Point Remote Access VPN could provide on-demand services related to remote VPN. Users with proper authentication should be able to easily deploy VPN on their devices with just a click, perhaps with the help of plugins."
"User experience and interface need improvement. The VPN client interface is functional but could benefit from a more modern, intuitive design, with clearer connection status indicators, simplified settings, and a more guided setup process would help reduce confusion, especially for less tech-savvy users."
"Remote Access for external and internal customers."
"Unfortunately, LogMeIn is a long ways from being perfect. It has a lot of really great features, though they don't always work well."
"The only issue is that they could have a tier between 10 seats and 50."
"At certain times of the day, during the "rush hour," it's very slow. I don't know if it's the latency of the internet or the amount of people on it in the afternoon at 4:00, 5:00pm. Getting data transferred takes a longer time than other times of the day."
"The high pricing of the product is its only shortcoming that needs improvement."
"With Windows 10 we've had some issues with it crashing, and certain antivirus products cause it to fail. For the most part it's stable, but we do have an occasional crash mainly related to new operating systems. The new Microsoft Server and the new Windows operating systems sometimes have issues with it. But for the most part, in anything under, say, Windows 7, Windows 8, those seem to be pretty stable, and with the Microsoft Server 2012 and below, it's all stable. And I don't necessarily think it's LogMeIn. I think it may be Microsoft, to be honest with you."
"It's never cheap enough. If we got it for free, that would be perfect. But I know it's not and won't be free. It's always going to be too expensive for me because we're a small company."
"It does go down sometimes. You try to login, it tells you the workdesk computer is not available. It does kick you off a lot."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Intune is linked with Microsoft. We can deploy the Microsoft E365 license to users by Intune. There are different types of licenses, such as device administrator licenses, E5 licenses for device enrollment manually, and P1 and p2 licenses for device enrollment automatically. These are the licenses required for the administration."
"Microsoft licenses are costly."
"The price of Intune is often included as part of a bundle with other Microsoft licenses, which makes it somewhat cheaper."
"I would rate the price a four out of ten with ten being the most expensive."
"Intune is moderately expensive. You can get the license bundled with Office 365 E3 or E5 licenses. The E5s are a bit expensive, but you get some cheaper solutions with Intune."
"While I can't provide insights from a business perspective, it's worth noting that the pricing may differ significantly, and the discount we received might not be reflective of standard business rates."
"For Microsoft 365 E5 clients, cost is not an issue as this product is one of the benefits."
"There is a license required to use this solution. However, it was part of a bundle package. Microsoft Intune is far less expensive than other solutions, such as Workspace ONE."
"I give the price of the solution a five out of ten."
"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
"The price of this product is good."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"I can say that the licensing costs are charged annually."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"I am very happy to say that I have been very satisfied with the LogMeIn product, except for the escalation of the price. "
"To be honest with you, I use it just for login and the prices are getting too high so we're going to look for an alternative solution. It used to be a couple of hundred dollars a year, now it's like $600 a year. We're definitely going to be switching shortly. Every year they have significant increases."
"Pricing is what I'm upset with. Now, that they bought everybody up, the price doubled."
"My company needs to make annual payments toward the licensing cost of the product. There are no extra costs in addition to the standard license fees of the product."
"The price point has gone up significantly. We used to have a lot of other customers. I used to sell it to other customer sites. But they've moved to TeamViewer, SiteSecure, and several others. There are four or five others that they went to because they're being more competitive on their pricing."
"Pricing has been going up for just going back and forth between two computers. Last year I called and complained, they gave me a deal. This year, it's gone up to $350. I'm looking for a new source. It seems to be getting expensive for me to look back and forth. Come up with a different level of service for just communicating with two computers; I use it, maybe, five minutes a day."
"It is pricey. When they renew me, they always boost it up, I call them and they cut it back a little bit."
"I have a tiered pricing. If I wanted to subscribe for three years, I will get a discount for that."
