We performed a comparison between Check Point Infinity and ESET Endpoint Protection Platform based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The initial implementation was accomplished easily and without deployment problems."
"I would rate the stability a ten out of ten. Stability is always important. I haven't faced any issues with the Infinity Portal in the last six or seven years."
"The tool's most valuable feature for threat prevention is the encryption alarm. I find the centralized management console, including the log analyzer and reports in Check Point Infinity, extremely beneficial for enhancing security and operations efficiency in our enterprise. I would rate it a perfect ten out of ten, as it effectively helps us analyze logs, and detect potential attacks."
"The solution is very stable. I would estimate it's 99.9% stable, if not more."
"The sandblast threat emulation is great."
"Infinity has come to give us total protection."
"The detection and reaction rates are good."
"It provides fantastic visibility of security incidents through deconstructing and dissecting the threat's infection protocol."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the ease of use."
"ESET Endpoint Security’s most valuable feature is the management console."
"Installing and integrating ESET Endpoint Antivirus was easy. It prevents worms, malware, and Trojans."
"It is pretty easy to deploy. Its update definition file is small, so it can dispatch very quickly within the enterprise. The product itself is very lightweight, so it won't delay your endpoint. You also don't have to do any difficult configuration because it comes with a very good default setting. So, you just install it and forget it."
"I like everything about ESET Endpoint Security, and as an installer, it's very easy to install the solution, but the most important feature is that it helps defend against any virus. When the virus comes, ESET Endpoint Security stops it."
"This solution does not slow down your systems. It is very light."
"The solution provides good accessibility and is not heavy on resources when there are updates or when it is in operation."
"I would say that this solution has the best support team in this kind of Endpoint protection product."
"The tool's technical support lags."
"While Check Point Infinity is a robust and innovative solution, some areas could benefit from improvement. One area is the user-friendly integration of privacy-focused features."
"I think that the pricing for the Check Point products should be reconsidered, as we found it to be quite expensive to purchase and to maintain."
"We need improvement around the Smart-1 cloud solution."
"The portal is provisioned in AWS. They should improve the cloud to make it faster."
"Check Point Infinity price could improve."
"Technical support is something that needs improvement."
"The updates could be less frequent."
"The tool needs to explore security possibilities to secure iOS and Mac devices."
"The use of SQL Server can be improved. At times, there is a bit of challenge while linking it with the Javascript. ESET Endpoint Security requires modern technology or modern equipment on site. You will find it difficult to use ESET Endpoint Security with dual-core machines. If they can add the cloud management feature to their product, it will be much easier. If you look at this COVID situation that we are in right now, people are working from home, so you need to control the computers wherever you are. For example, if you are using any email setup and you are hosting it on your own, all the email traffic will be going through the same network. You need to protect all of your computers from the attack. It is best if you can do it remotely rather than having an IT person to come onsite to manage all computers and metrics etc, which isn't a smart way to do it."
"While we see dangers within our security system, it would help if there were popups that could immediately alert us or the user of the endpoint that something was detected."
"The initial setup of ESET Endpoint Security was not complex because we have five years of experience. However, it is not as easy if we did not have the experience."
"The integration capabilities might be lacking a bit."
"The solution could improve by having higher-level security and reporting."
"They need to improve licensing for VMs. When ESET is uninstalled from a VM, the seat stays on the license management server. We have to manually delete the seat from that server because it doesn't know how to handle it. I contacted exclusive ESET support here in Croatia and they told me there is no solution for this yet."
"When users renew licenses, they should offer a discount."
