It's a good solution for those with limited coding experience

The visualization of the data pages could be improved. You have to a lot of tweaking to make the visualization stand out. It's basic, but there are a lot of options. So you really have to do a lot of customizing on that part. They could add some templates that are more attractive than the basic ones. It would be helpful if you could start with something that's already built rather than working on standard templates from scratch.

Low-code platform has accelerated enterprise app delivery and has reduced team size

Mendix has evolved as much as possible, and they are currently planning to automate tasks using AI agentics and other features. Every day presents a learning opportunity for developers using Mendix and the teams involved in improving the platform. One needed improvement I have noticed while working with Mendix is in native mobile development, which still lacks features available in other development environments like Android Studio or Flutter. Certain components that should be available in 2026 are still not present in Mendix, making it difficult to explain limitations to customers. This aspect needs further attention, especially for native mobile development.

At the basic level, it is free of charge, so that seems reasonable, but once you go beyond that, and when it comes to the number of users on the app, that basic structure doesn't work, and the pricing tends to get a little bit steep."
