Ready to use, with no need for customization

We currently operate in a banking domain. It helps to take daily backups of database. The BMC TrueSight helps in following the Reserve Bank guidelines and scheduling the back up as necessary. The solution creates a back-up and re-evaluates all the necessary information, alarming us in case there is a set of missing information. In case the backup fails, it also has an error handling mechanism is present, sending real-time messages and alerts in the form of emails to responsible teams. We have minimized the L1 and L2 activities, currently allowing us to only deal with L3 activities. If there are any errors in terms of backup, the incident is directly raised to Level 3. This automation has helped us save about 5 million pounds. It is also capable of no-manual intervention, where onboarding can be done without any manual assistance. The GUI offered by this solution is currently not available in the market. Whenever the details of customers are entered in the GUI, the process is carried out smoothly in the background without any issues.

Significantly streamlined operations with good automation that helps with simplifying workflows

It helps me build a big catalog and provide it to my end users. It helps us automate the workflow of creating many VMs and the TensorFlow key method. I do not meet many people to operate it live beforehand. It operates for both of my products, but as a product, it is complicated to integrate and automate with other products.

"What I would like to see is a refined Dashboard to see, when I log in: Here are all my jobs, here are how many times they've executed; some kind graphical stitching-together of the workflows and jobs, and how they're connected. Also, those "failed hosts," what does that mean? We have a problem, a failed host can be anything. Is SSH the reason it failed? Is the job template why it failed? It doesn't really distinguish that."

"Ansible is great, but there are not many modules. You can do about 80% to 90% of things by using commands, but more modules should be added. We cannot do some of the things in Ansible. In Red Hat, we have the YUM package manager, and there are certain options that we can pass through YUM. To install the Docker Community Edition, I'll write the yum install docker-ce command, but because the Docker Community Edition is not compatible with RHEL 8, I will have to use the nobest option, such as yum install docker-ce --nobest. The nobest option installs the most stable version that can be installed on a particular system. In Ansible, the nobest option is not there. So, it needs some improvements in terms of options. There should be more options, keywords, and modules."

"The job workflow needs to be worked on. It's not really clear to how you actually link things together. What they probably could do is provide an example workflow on how to stitch things together. I think that would be very helpful."
