I think the areas of SAP Analytics Cloud that could be improved or enhanced are mentioned by users or companies, and they would definitely mention the price in terms of planning licensing. From a consulting point of view, I don't see any major weaknesses. It is reasonably well-developed, and the perfect strength is that innovations are coming on a quarterly basis. It is slightly behind other tools in terms of the number of graphical outputs. Some tools have it faster, but every increment of innovations contains new features. On the other hand, it is perfectly fitting to the SAP environment, with seamless integration to all SAP modules, not only ERP but also SuccessFactors and other tools from the SAP family, for example, integrated business planning for the production planning. This is really a highlight compared to other tools.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's allowed us to implement High Performance Work teams who periodically monitor KPIs, as well as improving the infrastructure and overall work methodology."
"The most valuable feature of the tool is machine learning."
"This product provides good reports using a single pane of glass."
"The stories have really been helpful in looking at specific scenarios and analyzing trends over periods of time."
"All the services are available under one service, and the usability is easy with a user-friendly interface."
"It integrates with third-party applications such as Google Drive and Excel,"
"The tool's most valuable features are the BI and planning functionalities. I value being able to integrate smart planning with BI for analysis. The solution is user-friendly."
"The solution is stable."
"What I appreciate about SAP Analytics Cloud is the AI features, which include interactive dashboards, drill-down capabilities, linked dimensions, and the ability to integrate more than one model in the same story."

Cons

"Pricing needs to be brought down."
"Custom visuals is another area of improvement. There are also some mobile features that are missing. There are features that aren't available on the mobile."
"I would like to see improved support for third-party systems, lower cost of acquisition, and better graphics and interface design."
"I do not perceive any return on investment with SAP Business Data Cloud, as its performance in that area is exceptionally poor and shows no signs of improvement."
"I would like to see reporting to the Analytics cloud directly. As it is now, we can integrate text reports in Analytics Cloud, but every time we create a model then we have to design the reports."
"The price, integration, and modeling capabilities could be better. I have to use an integration engine to integrate our products and databases. SAP Analytics Cloud is made specifically for KPIs and business intelligence. The modeling capabilities are kind of poor. You always have to model the data and then present it visually in SAP Analytics Cloud. In the next release, I would like to have a lite version for planning to create scenarios quickly. For me personally, planning is the most complicated feature of SAP Analytics Cloud."
"The integration with other vendors and solutions could be improved."
"What should be improved in SAP Analytics Cloud is the speed of importing information and data, e.g. from SAP S/4HANA. Gathering the data from the main database takes a bit of time."
"BDC Delta Share had a limitation of not allowing delta only, as the delta only feature on replication flows was not available for standard ERP replication flows. This was a significant limitation that prevented organizations from migrating from BODS to replication flows."

"They are pursuing a highly assertive approach to target businesses of all sizes within the industry."
"This solution is pricey."
"The tool's pricing is medium, and licensing costs are yearly."
