Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Successfully manage endpoint security and compliance while facing integration challenges
I have not come across any difficulties. I integrated it with ILMT (IBM License Metric Tool). It lets us identify all software being used in my organization with BigFix. It provides input of all types of software being used, including details and information about hardware specifications. I am more involved in software licensing and procurement, so I utilize this tool for procuring more licenses if needed for our company. After integration, we get different dashboards showcasing our IBM infrastructure, highlighting various issues in our environment that we can mitigate. I recommend BigFix to others. I rate BigFix a seven out of ten.

"The interface is easy to use, and it's not complicated to create tasks; it offers all of the features that we require."
"Being able to intelligently create reports, gather data, export CSVs and give that to the leadership of some of the client groups that my team supports has helped my organization."
"In terms of vulnerability management, it gives tough competition by providing a single management console with multiple benefits."
"BigFix allows us to see the data and remediate those vulnerabilities quickly and easily."
"The initial setup was straightforward. It took five minutes. I installed the solution myself."
"The ease of use of the centralized admin console is its best asset."
"Its ease of installation is valuable. It has been a low-resource tool and the continuous updates in the past have made it attractive from the standpoint of the trust level on the protection."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution is that they have the lightest agent, as it is only six MBs, installs in a matter of seconds, is very lightweight, and has a very minimal, negligible performance impact on the machine and endpoints."
"The initial setup is not complex at all. It's very straightforward."
"Webroot pioneered integration of novel concepts in endpoint protection."
"The most valuable features of the solution include the endpoint navigation protection, the protection related to the EMS service, as well as the control and the cloud integration capabilities."
"Valuable features include good scanning, very light footprint and management console that the client can access and (just as important) in which I can see status of groups of computers (I am a consultant, IT role)."

Cons

"The onboarding process could be better."
"Data privacy is a matter of concern. You have to be careful with data privacy, it can be sensitive and Cortex can have most of your access."
"It's not an ideal choice for smaller businesses, as you need a minimum of 200 endpoints to even use the solution at all."
"Data privacy is a matter of concern. You have to be careful with data privacy, it can be sensitive and Cortex can have most of your access."
"The product's pricing could be better."
"I would like to see better protection, specifically to protect email applications."
"It's very time-consuming to log support issues and the people that answer the tickets aren't very knowledgeable."
"The playbooks could be improved to include more functionalities or actions."
"I would like to see a WebUI SDK so we could take what is provided currently and be able to build our own customized web UI for particular customers that want to sell service."
"Sometimes there is a lag time for our users."
"Their technical support needs some improvement. We have had some cases where we didn't get enough support from the support team but I think it's improving now."
"In-place and OS upgrades can be improved."
"I remember doing restarts a few times. So, making sure that it is rock solid from an executable perspective is important."
"The scalability of the web UI product doesn't scale to the size that we need for our implementation so it needs to expand. I would also like to see the capability to develop on the back of the web UI capability. There are lots of web features and integrations that we could do with web UI that it would be nice to be able to put on top of what's already there, rather than waiting for IBM to develop what we need."
"I would like to see more integration with external data."
"In order to derive maximum benefit from BigFix, it is essential that we configure all of its features and implement them effectively. If the automation could be improved we would be able to mitigate the risks associated with zero-day threats."
"Since they're dealing with multi-core environments now, the best option would be for them to enhance the product so that the product can automatically do an assessment on the machine."
"It needs to improve the problems with the faster connection, and have a huge reduction in false positives."
"The platform is mostly stable, however there are hiccups with the cloud from time-to-time that impact the ability to get to the portal."
"There needs to be more advanced analytics. It would make it a more powerful antivirus solution within the marketplace."
"I did notice that my OS slowed down, but I don't know if that's due to Webroot."
"There needs to be more advanced analytics. It would make it a more powerful antivirus solution within the marketplace."
"We need to have a stronger defense against CryptoLock and other attackers."
"There is one thing that is deplorable with the product that I would change as soon as I found a better one. However, the reports are worthless."
