Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Cloud-native security has improved real-time threat detection and streamlined daily operations
While CrowdStrike Falcon is strong overall, there are a few areas where it could be improved. First, the user interface can be a bit complex for new users. Sometimes, navigating through different sections and understanding detailed alerts takes time, especially for teams without deep security expertise. The cost is also something to consider, as the features and additional modules can increase pricing, which may be a challenge for smaller teams. Additionally, some integrations with simpler reporting would be helpful. The onboarding process for new users is a bit challenging for beginners to understand all features and workflows in the product. More simplified documentation, step-by-step guides, and real-world examples could help new users get comfortable faster. A structured onboarding or basic training module would be very useful for teams who are new to endpoint security tools. In addition, having more in-product guidance and tooltips within the dashboard could make navigation easier and reduce the learning curve. Overall, improving training resources and onboarding support would make the platform more user-friendly, especially for new users.

"Monitoring is most valuable."
"The most valuable aspects of CrowdStrike Falcon for me are its device observability, identification, and software and OS recognition."
"I like the dashboard nature of it. Everything is clickable, linkable, and information is easy to obtain and find. How it presents that information is probably the biggest win as far as the information correlation aspect. The presentation of it is very good."
"The solution fits well in the organization and took out valuable output as expected from Endpoint Detection and Response solution."
"The most useful feature is that we do not need to install or keep signature files. Regular scanning that consumes a lot of computer resources is not needed."
"The product's deployment phase is easy."
"It's really good because it can detect anything."
"As an EDR tool, we can integrate log management and event management, and the solution deals with threats automatically, that's the advantage."
"CrowdStrike enables the infrastructure managers to visualize all the events and get information about the network."
"Speed"
"There aren't any features that really stand out — I just want it to keep malware out of my system. To date, I haven't had any malware in my system."
"Working as part of our security stack, it has protected us from countless attacks."
"They have a lot of features integrated from way back, which shows that the product developers know exactly what they're doing."
"Valuable features include good scanning, very light footprint and management console that the client can access and (just as important) in which I can see status of groups of computers (I am a consultant, IT role)."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution is the fact that it is a low profile environment as far as overhead on the machines."
"The ease of use of the centralized admin console is its best asset."
"It is an easy-to-use and easy-to-configure product."

Cons

"In terms of areas of improvement, we have not completed our review of the product. We're also looking at other products. So, it's a little bit hard to tell what could be different because we have not completed the review of this product, but based on our experience so far, its implementation is quite complex."
"I have seen lagging with Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks. There was one time when we faced a threat actor trying to gain access to our system. When our team utilized the tool, we were all on the same dashboard and we faced a lag issue at that time of around five minutes, which was quite significant."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks can improve mobile integration to allow access to the console."
"There are some default policies which sometimes affect our applications and cause them to run around."
"The product's pricing needs improvement. They could provide more discounts. Additionally, the dashboard and control panel could be enhanced."
"The solution could improve by providing better integration with their own products and others."
"One thing that was missing was the integration part. Currently, they don't have out-of-box integration with IBM QRadar, or if they have the integration, the integration doesn't work well."
"Based on our experience so far, its implementation is quite complex."
"The product is quite expensive."
"Basically, they don't cover legacy OS or applications. That's the only issue we're concerned about."
"This solution is relatively expensive."
"There are a few features that could be added, as mentioned."
"Unfortunately, native applications are not supported."
"They don't really have anything when it comes to scanning attachments."
"They respond quickly on the weekdays, but the weekend response times are slower."
"It does take more time to scan than other solutions."
"I believe that Webroot Business Endpoint Protection should offer a more modern UI."
"They should provide more information on the type of cyber attacks."
"I think the one bad point about this product is that we did not find a way for Webroot to generate reports or schedule automatic reports to be sent to clients."
"Usually, when it comes to reliability, McAfee and Norton are at 99 percent. Webroot's percentage is lower."
"Webroot Business Endpoint Protection needs to improve its ability to detect threats."
"This product has room for improvement to display a more detailed representation of the problem when a virus is or isn't stopped."
"The platform is mostly stable, however there are hiccups with the cloud from time-to-time that impact the ability to get to the portal."
"Unified threat management (UTM) integration."
