Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It takes care of simple tasks so users can focus more on exceptions than on regular use cases. They only focus on orders where they need to handle an exception, some information was not given, or there is an issue that they had to focus on. The rest of it goes straight through without human touch. We want to see our employees as engineers, wherein they think and solve problems, not necessarily have to do repetitive tasks. I think WorkFusion helps with avoiding repetitive tasks.""We need to analyze documents in order to understand them. We don't need to dedicate much time to this because WorkFusion's machine learning capabilities are very good. We can easily extract information and classify these documents. The document processing engine is very important to our organization because it is the center for many use cases, as we need to control the information contained in documents.""WorkFusion helps by speeding up processes. The process takes time. It has business costs associated because there are people waiting to take the next steps in the process. The end result of waiting, whether it is an internal or external team, is that they are delayed. Therefore, it helps us in speeding up business processes and improving employee morale, as people don't have to do repetitive work anymore.""The Robotic Desktop Automation Express component allows us to do rapid development outside the normal, time-consuming processes.""A helpful feature is the analytics capability within WorkFusion. The analytics dashboards, i.e., their Tableau dashboards, are really helpful for building a business activity monitoring layer. These are very visible to senior management and stakeholders, who can see and know what is happening within processes. They can see what benefits are getting delivered as processes, either ;daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. It is easy for stakeholders or senior management to understand the value for the money that they are spending.""Their robots have increased the rate of efficiency by two to five times in our organization. There is still a human element to code out the package running the robots. You can't just click something and have it run. However, once that has been done, you can parallelize it 10 or 100 times in a fairly straightforward manner.""The most valuable features are the Excel activities. It has a number of Excel activities that are quite reliable.""For automating mundane activities, I can recommend WorkFusion."

"The initial setup is very quick."

"UiPath's ease of use for automating our company's processes is a five out of five. We have found it very easy to talk to them, identifying what can be done along with the potential use cases. They have been very good at guiding us through what is realistic at this point, how their robots could help us save time and improve accuracy, and how our users can engage with their robots, e.g., ensuring that users engage with the robots and use their product.""I have used the UiPath Academy courses. I'm a certified developer. I didn't know UiPath at all. I went through the Academy and trained myself. When I brought in new developers, I had them do modules and I sometimes go visit them. From the user's perspective, people are happy that they don't have to do certain tasks that they didn't like to do. I only have one of those bots where I have a group of people that prefer the way they've always been doing tasks, but that's more of an organizational thing. I'm seeing across the enterprise with other folks that they're very happy to have this. They are putting more use cases in, and the frontline workers are bringing in use cases. Of course, we need to vet a lot of those so that we get enough bang for the buck, but we're finding a lot of adoption across, up, and down the whole scale so far.""The easy development process is very useful for us.""It is a single point of truth. There is no discrepancy or ambiguity. We can go to the leadership team, and say, "This is what it saves us on costs, man-hours, and effort that we used to do manually versus what we are doing now using the bots."""The stability so far has been good.""Since we are getting information out to folks faster, they can spend the resource time needed to determine the best approach for what to replace it with, or if we need to work with a sales rep. It ensures that our staff have the best tools to do their job faster.""It has been helpful in centralizing. We are a tax, audit, and accounting company. We are centralizing for one of our partner companies with multinational clients. We have to centralize the results of a client in 40 countries every month by reading some information out of their balance sheets. Previously, we had to do this manually, and now, we have automated it. Internally, we also have a client with more than 200 companies. We have to centralize about 200 balance sheets every month for them. That's something that we have automated internally.""The return on investment is really good"

Cons
"We have executed our robots thousands of times in our enterprise environment. However, in an enterprise environment, WorkFusion has performance problems. It is slow in production.""It is difficult for non-technical users to use WorkFusion. If we really want to build automation, we definitely need Java developers. Their RPA is not for non-technical people. If I look at competing products, like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, or even Power Automate, a non-technical person can build basic automations and deploy them. Since non-technical people can easily build basic automations, they can be deployed in no time. With WorkFusion, there isn't a similar feature that works well. One needs to write code from scratch to build automation. That is definitely a deterrent if we really want to do quick, dirty automation. I would not rate WorkFusion very high on their no-code, low-code paradigm. In this area, I would definitely expect them to improve.""This is a Java-based application that takes up a lot of space and when it runs, consumes a lot of memory. This affects the reliability because it gets to a point where it hangs.""The product could do more to expand its 'codeless' coding options by adding drag-and-drop assistance in building bots for non-technical users.""The user experience could be better both from an RPA perspective and from a business perspective.""There could be better version control through their web platform. That is something that could be improved on. Integration from the IDE, e.g., from WorkFusion Studio directly into Control Tower, would be nice to have too.""We had some issues in the past, but it is fairly stable now. From what I hear, it is more stable in the later versions. With version 10.1.4, there were some issues relating to load distribution. However, it is good now.""I would like it if they provided a more detailed roadmap in terms of where they are going with the product. As we are trying to make decisions about the things that we are going to do to try to augment our capabilities, we could know whether they are thinking about the same things or not."

"The solution should come with language customization, which would simplify its use for our customers."

More Another Monday Cons →

"With all the different tools that they have in their arsenal, sometimes it's hard to know how we can get the most out of them.""I can’t think of any direct places where improvements need to happen. Whatever I need, it appears to be there. That said, any app could use some form of improvement.""Building automations can be difficult at times with some of the activity packages and documentation being out of date, but we have a TAM that we work with that is very helpful in making sure that RRGs are known and that we get the results within the UiPath structure.""It was quite new for me and it took time to adjust to it and understand it. At times, some processes took longer with the tool, initially. But when you do them on a regular basis, you understand it better and it takes much less time. Setting up the systems could be difficult initially. It would be better if it were more user-friendly for non-technical users.""I had a problem with one thing, and that was exporting activities packages between the test server and the production server.""There should be extra ways for humans to interact with automation.""It should be less focused on the howtos and more on demonstrating business value add. A business outcome should be that I was able to approve something in however many days or hours compared to my peers when I benchmark across my peers. That would be a business outcome as opposed to a technical outcome.""I really wish that UiPath would have moderators in their forums who are more active. There are a lot of questions that go unanswered, and that is a shame."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
  • "As a first-time customer who wants to engage with WorkFusion, not working for my company, then I would want to do a PoC. The cost is prohibitive because they will ask me to get infrastructure with six or seven servers. Then, you must buy a WorkFusion license to do a PoC, which is expensive. I would then have to set up a team to build the PoC and see the benefits. That is very prohibitive."
  • "We have a good deal from WorkFusion. We have an unlimited global licensing deal with WorkFusion. For us, it is a no-worry solution. We can go ahead and use it as much as possible anywhere we need it. If WorkFusion has a different kind of a deal for licensing with others, then their business decisions need to be evaluated based on that."

  • "There is no licensing fee for our customers."
  • More Another Monday Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The pricing is okay, but I recommend to build a business case before going live. Ensure that you really use the license and building the robot makes sense. Try to think of multiple use cases, because one license can be used for several robots."
  • "It is important for whatever we implement that it's cost effective in a sense that the robots will replace some human time. If human time costs less than the robot, then that's not a good deal."
  • "The pricing is average; it is not too high nor too low."
  • "The pricing is good compared to other software. Based on the features that UiPath is providing, and the community support, the price is reasonable."
  • "The licensing system is something that needs to be improved."
  • "The licensing is close to optimum; however, there is room for improvement in both the cost and flexibility of the licenses."
  • "If you want to start doing RPA, I think you should definitely go with UiPath because it has the Community edition. You can just install it and check whether or not your process works fine with UiPath. It will be an attended bot, but you can form an idea whether your bot can easily be automated."
  • "It is cost-effective and has an affordable price."

    Overview

Enterprises in regulated industries, such as banking, financial services, and healthcare, leverage WorkFusion's Intelligent Automation platform to multiply operational capacity and streamline data- and document-intensive processes. As the only automation software provider with deep vertical expertise, WorkFusion offers pre-built solutions for your mission-critical processes, such as customer lifecycle management, insurance claims processing, or patient record management. Because of advanced AI and ML technologies including AutoML, Continuous Learning, Differential Privacy, and Federated Learning, WorkFusion’s solutions yield 95%+ out-of-the-box automation rates for various document types, including fully unstructured sources such as emails or news articles.

WorkFusion has been recognized as a Leader in both RPA and Intelligent Document Processing categories and has received the highest ranking for the "Augment Knowledge Workers" and "Document Processing" use cases by Gartner Critical Capabilities assessment.

Building a fully-automated robotic process environment where robot
workers performed an equivalent volume of work of over 1,500 full-time
virtual employees required the careful development and optimization of
    an RPA-architecture.
We created an architecture that embodies the best practices of both
RPA-methodology and RPA-tools. These two components defined automation
best practices like the enforcing of a rigorous process mapping and a
process automation design approach that captures every action for all
workflow possibilities and exceptions. Further, this enables a bot that
could seamlessly recover from exception-based failures. Ultimately,
that delivers industrial-grade performance at scale!
