We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product is very user-friendly.""It is highly available and scalable. It is also highly reliable. I don't lose any of the messages or emails. If there is an issue where the email sent operation failed, Amazon as a platform ensures that the send operation is retried, and the email reaches its destination. This way, it is highly reliable.""We use the tool for transactional emails and marketing.""The most valuable thing is that emails sent through SES have a delivery rate of greater than ninety percent.""Amazon SES can handle a high volume of emails, making it suitable for organizations with large email lists or that need to send a large number of emails on a regular basis.""There is no need for me to set up security.""Amazon SES is very easy to configure.""The best feature is that Amazon SES provides verified email messages."

"It is very well integrated with other Microsoft programs, teams, and so on. They work well together.""Microsoft Exchange's most valuable feature is that it's old-fashioned communication, meaning it's good for people who aren't able to work comfortably in a cloud environment.""Internal communication stability within Exchange is ensured by the stability of the internal network which is guaranteed by default.""It's user-friendly.""The functionality on the user side is quite good. Exchange provides an excellent platform for collaboration between users.""The product works very well.""Microsoft Exchange has good performance and is user-friendly.""Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."

Cons
"Email service is definitely a requirement from an enterprise standpoint. Many organizations have their own on-premise email services, which take a lot of memory, backup, and other resources. If we can have a completely managed backup solution where we have a tiered backup or a tiered archival to be able to retrieve emails, it would be great. I would like to be able to retrieve emails in real-time (hot retrieval), over the 90-days period (warm retrieval), and over the one-year period (cold retrieval). It would be useful to have tiered backup and retrieval. It would help us in managing emails better and have a better backup solution. So, backup is something that we require.""The product should improve technical support.""When we first set up an email on Amazon SES, they had to verify it, which was not fast enough.""It would be ideal to have detailed data and reporting on email opens, clicks, bounces, and other metrics, as well as integration with other business intelligence tools.""There is room for improvement in the support. It's just that customer support, though good, takes time to resolve issues.""There is room for improvement in the scalability.""I would like to see detailed reports on email success and failure rates.""The only issue is the price, which is far too expensive."

More Amazon WorkMail Cons →

"The cost could be cheaper.""There can be occasional challenges during the product's implementation phase, making it an area where improvements are needed.""It is important to have the updated version for scalability.""Load balancing is lacking.""Some users encounter stability issues. I connect with the support team through my local partner, which takes time.""It doesn't work very well on a virtual machine. We had to move it around. There are also issues when you try to move it between computers.""One thing for improvement would be to have an offline version of Exchange available for use if our connection goes down.""I think it could be more scalable."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "WorkMail does require a license, it is, per user."
  • "The solution should improve its price."
  • "It's very cheap. The cheapest among all the services available."
  • More Amazon WorkMail Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "They are flexible when it comes to pricing, unlike most of the other vendors I have dealt with."
  • "It's working very well. There is no problem, but the price is not the best."
  • "Its price is okay."
  • "It's a little bit expensive."
  • "Its price is very affordable, and basically, it is the standard of the industry. We have the Exchange 365 subscription, which includes the usage of Exchange Online. I don't know the specific cost, but it is the retail price of Microsoft 365 E3 licenses. Microsoft's licensing is not very easy to understand. Microsoft changes rules every other day, which makes it difficult for us to understand the licensing not only for Exchange but also for other products. It can sometimes be really complex to understand what you need to have in order to comply with Microsoft licensing."
  • "Microsoft doesn't have a unit price, it's based on the quantity, and they offer great discounts."
  • "We are currently using enterprise licenses for the solution. They are different pricing models available. There are individual, cloud-based, and enterprise licenses all with different pricing models. The larger the number of users, the lesser the price. For small to medium companies like us, we feel it is expensive."
  • "Its price is fair."
