We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"AWS is known for its scalable cloud hosting and computing services. We use various features depending on our needs, including endpoint services, database instances, and EC2 instances.""There are many valuable features, I find the EMR in the platform easy to use and to learn.""The installation is quite straightforward.""AWS's containerization is the most useful feature for us.""The reason I like AWS is that they have a large market share and a large presence. When it comes to our use case, a big positive is that MuleSoft and AWS are working together very well. So instead of competing against each other, they're meshing together.""The most valuable features are how stable and easy to use Amazon AWS is.""I like the storage, all the codes like Lambda and Amazon EMR.""In general, Amazon's performance is good."

"Infrastructure as a service is most valuable.""The cycle development time is pretty fast, and there's very good coupling within the whole set of Microsoft tools, from database to the ETL engine, ingestion through Azure Data Factory, then modeling Synapse Analytics, and reporting through Power BI.""The platform's user-friendliness eliminates the need for lengthy training periods, enabling swift navigation for new users.""It's set up to handle any cloud requirement.""Azure is very user friendly. I was able to create some database servers really fast. The user interface is intuitive.""It's been pretty useful in terms of migration and disaster recovery strategy.""The product is rather stable. We haven't had any issues with it in that sense.""Offers many data security features including securing network access."

More Microsoft Azure Pros →

"The solution is very robust and easy to develop in.""Scalability to configure and integrate.""It works beautifully. I haven't had any errors.""What we like the most about it is the fact that it helps us track the record of our projects. It keeps everything on one interface, facilitating the operations and planning.""It is very user-friendly, and intuitive, it will lead you and take you to the next steps.""They are already beginning to implement generative AI.""The entire solution is very customizable and you are able to add many functionalities.""The most valuable feature is ease of use."

Cons
"It would be better if there was a way to see which components were still on. We have some situations where I forget that some components are turned on. We forget some components are on, and we only see that these components are on when we see the bill at the end of the month. It would also be better if AWS had specialized firewalls or integrations with leading products. For example, a specialized firewall with content filtering. We were looking for some firewall tools, and we saw that AWS doesn't have any specialized firewall tools in its services portfolio. So, we are looking for other tools like FortKnox, Forcepoint, and Check Point because we didn't find the solutions in AWS services.""The cost of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required.""The product would be better if it was more secure.""I want to use AWS as a full solution for my website - for domain and website hosting, and everything in between - however, I was not able to find everything together.""Some services that are not used often have poor quality and need to be improved.""We would like the system documentation for configuring this solution to be improved, in order to provide better process clarity.""The customization could improve. However, it depends on the customization needed.""Amazon tools are for more mature DevOps. The process and the Dev is very good, but it doesn't compare to the ease of using the Google Cloud Platform."

More Amazon AWS Cons →

"Azure calculator could be improved, there are issues with login synchronization.""The security must be improved.""Microsoft Azure can be pretty advanced and difficult to understand. I would like it to be simplified. The licensing especially needs to be simplified.""The cost calculation for the services can be an unclear aspect which makes it difficult to estimate the expenses incurred accurately.""I would like to see more automation and AI with the cloud to help the clients understand more about their clients, their history data, and their predictive analytics. This would help them better manage their clients.""As compared to AWS, Azure can improve its functionality. In terms of the feature list, it is still lacking a bit as compared to AWS. AWS supports lots of types of operating systems, which Azure is still catching up with. Azure is mainly focused on the Windows system, and it is not yet there in terms of integration with other operating systems like Linux, Unix. Azure is slowly catching up.""They should create integrations with more platforms.""One area for enhancement could be in the realm of big data and unstructured data storage."

More Microsoft Azure Cons →

"An improved UX may be helpful in the solution's next release.""UI needs to be more intuitive and user friendly.""They should provide access to data quality tips and tricks to make it better.""I think the interface should be enhanced and more user-friendly.""The solution's UI is horrible.""Salesforce Platform is a bit expensive compared to other CRM products, which is a drawback.""Salesforce needs to be re-platformed, or re-architected, making it lighter.""There needs to be more documentation."

Amazon Web Services, Rackspace OpenStack, Microsoft Windows Azure and Google are the major cloud hosting and storage service providers. Athough Amazon is top of them and is oldest in cloud market, Rackspace, Microsoft and Google are giving tough competition to each other and to Amazon also for alluring IT customers. This article give brief history of these cloud hosting service providers and compares the cloud services provided by them. -- Amazon Web Services -- It's hard to find someone who doesn't agree that Amazon Web Services is the market leader in IaaS cloud computing. The company has one of the widest breadths of cloud services - including compute, storage, networking, databases, load balancers, applications and application development platforms all delivered as a cloud service. Amazon has dropped its prices 21 times since it debuted its cloud six years ago and fairly consistently fills whatever gaps it has in the size of virtual machine instances on its platform - the company recently rolled out new high-memory instances, for example. There are some cautions for Amazon though. Namely, its cloud has experienced three major outages in two years. One analyst, Jillian Mirandi of Technology Business Researcher, has suggested that continued outages could eventually start hindering businesses' willingness to invest in Amazon infrastructure. That sentiment gets to a larger point about AWS though - the service seems to be popular in the startup community, providing the IT… Read more →
