Available to users at a very low price but needs improvement in the firewall area
The product is very easy to install. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6200, OmniSwitch 6300, or OmniSwitch 6600, you can install it in an hour and a half quickly without any problem implementing the configuration, but it's not stable. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6400, OmniSwitch 6800, or OmniSwitch 9700, mostly the tools are limited in terms of the protocol. The switch cannot be managed to manage the power of our ethernet. For example, if we connect an iPhone to the switch, 740 watts will be required, but after six months, someone will discover that the port doesn't work anymore. Even if we configure it to push the power of a port, it will not work. It's not really, it's not, it's not work. At the same time, the problem was that the tool was very old, like Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise PABX system. In Alcatel, there are only two types of architecture, the old and new ones. For example, on the outside, if there is a need for 24 ports to be implemented on telephony, then we implement less than that number to connect to the end of the phone, which is a very serious problem that is not resolved by the product.

Cambium should improve the product lineup for Cambium Networks Wireless WAN. Currently, when comparing it with other OEMs, the first lineup includes a product called 2x2 MU-MIMO, and if a customer needs a 4x4 MU-MIMO, they must go for a higher model. There should be an available model with a minimum cost in between. Both on-premises and cloud deployment models are applicable for Cambium Networks Wireless WAN, as both on-premises and cloud environments are used for deployment. The dynamic frequency selection is useful because there is an Auto RF feature that automatically and dynamically changes the channel to reduce interference, managing all aspects of the dynamic frequency.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"An excellent and robust solution for delineating services over a common transport, through the use of IP/MPLS."
"The solution's support is very great."
"The product's scalability features are good."
"What I find valuable is the fact that you don't need to purchase any license. Basically you just get the hardware for the access points, configure an IP and connect it with a switch."
"Its stability is good; I haven't received any complaints, and during this quarantine I have been working with both Ubiquiti and Cambium, and Cambium responds much better."
"I find Cambium to be far more reliable; I've had the solution on my PC for three years now and haven't needed to do anything, it just keeps working."
"The initial setup is easy to handle. It's quite simple."
"The performance is very good."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the network strength, which allows for coverage over a larger distance."
"My advice to others is they should choose the cloud version of Cambium instead of going with Unify or Aruba."

Cons

"The tool's VPN Firewall Brick did not work well since it doesn't have an interface with the cloud to upload the last signature, so it doesn't have this mechanism."
"More refinement of network group encryption (NGE)."
"The solution's price could be better."
"Cambium's solution is flexible for various connectivity needs, although there are limitations based on the specific equipment and metrics. The indoor coverage typically reaches up to sixty meters and may require external antennas for optimal performance and for outdoor connectivity, Cambium Networks offer excellent scalability and coverage, especially with sectorial access points."
"There is room for improvement in the support."
"The solution could improve indoor coverage strength. Based on our experience, there is no indoor coverage beyond 40 meters."
"More high bandwidth is required. A more high throughput radio is necessary."
"Pricing tends to be higher than its competitors but that's really all I have to complain about."
"Sometimes there are some latencies in devices. Otherwise, it is, for some time, not as stable."
"The range of the product is disappointing so far."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is very low."
"It is expensive."
"Cambium Networks Wireless WAN is a free solution, we only pay for the hardware. The warranty of the hardware is for five years."
"I rate Cambium Networks Wireless as 6 out of 10 since it is cheaper than its competitors like Ruckus, Cisco or Huawei."
"I rate the product price one on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price. There are no costs in addition to the product's standard licensing fees."
"Pricing is fair enough."
"I rate the product’s pricing a two out of ten."
"When it comes to licensing costs we have been using the Cambium devices on a trial basis."
"The price is affordable."
